Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 238 Half-Blood Prince

In the dim light of the carriage, Draco could see Harry's face clearly.

He frowned in disgust. "How disappointing, Potter," Draco's voice was full of sarcasm. "I thought you would improve, but you are still so poor."

He mercilessly raised his foot and stomped hard on Harry's face, crushing all his resistance under his feet.

"Ugh..." Harry groaned in pain, but was unable to move at all.

Draco looked down at him coldly, and after a moment, as if he suddenly remembered something, he bent down to pick up the invisibility cloak on the ground and covered Harry with it again.

"Eavesdropping is not a good habit, Potter!" Draco said condescendingly, "I think you'd better go back and learn some etiquette."

Hermione and Ron stood at the connection between the carriages, looking around anxiously, searching for Harry.

They had searched the entire carriage, but there was still no sign of Harry, which made them feel very worried.

"Where on earth did Harry go?" Ron paced back and forth anxiously, his tone full of worry, "He couldn't have just left without saying anything!"

Hermione pursed her lips tightly, frowned, and scanned the surroundings sharply, trying to find any clues.

"Don't worry, Ron, let's look carefully. Maybe Harry just went to the bathroom or fell asleep in a corner."

Just then, Salina noticed Draco walking out of a carriage alone with a barely perceptible smug smile on his face.

Salina walked quickly to Luna and asked in a low voice, "Luna, did you see anything special in the carriage?"

Luna was wearing a pair of strangely shaped glasses today. She tilted her head slightly, as if she was thinking seriously about Serena's question.

"A special place?" she repeated in a low voice, her eyes slowly sweeping across the surrounding carriages, finally stopping at the carriage that Draco had just walked out of.

"That's over there," she pointed at the carriage and said with certainty, "It feels weird, like there's something there."

Salina's heart moved, "Let's go and take a look together."

Luna nodded slightly, and the two walked towards the carriage side by side.

The carriage was empty except for a few scattered pieces of luggage.

Following Luna's guidance, Salina bent down and touched a soft and invisible cloak from the ground.

When the invisibility cloak was lifted, Harry's bruised face suddenly appeared in front of them. There was still a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth, and it was obvious that he had been severely beaten.

"Harry!" Luna couldn't help but exclaim, and quickly squatted down to check Harry's injuries.

Salina quickly took out her wand from her pocket and whispered a spell to remove the petrification curse on Harry.

Harry collapsed to the ground limply, groaning in pain. His nose was broken and he was having trouble breathing.

Salina cast another healing spell to help Harry repair his broken nose.

"Thank you..." Harry said weakly, looking at Serena and Luna gratefully.

"Let's go quickly, Hermione and Ron are looking for you everywhere." Salina said, and she and Luna helped Harry up.

"Aren't you going to ask me why I'm here?" Harry asked struggling.

Salina shook her head and said firmly: "As long as you are safe, there is no need for friends to explore each other's secrets."

Harry looked at Salina deeply and said nothing more.

The three of them got off the train together and walked towards Hogwarts Castle.

Harry, Ron and Hermione followed the crowd into the Great Hall.

Magical stars twinkled on the ceiling of the auditorium, the tableware on the long table was neatly laid out, and the air was filled with the aroma of roasted meat and pumpkin juice.

Headmaster Dumbledore stood in the middle of the teachers' seats, his sharp eyes scanning the entire hall. He did not speak until all the students were quiet.

"Welcome everyone back to Hogwarts!" His loud voice echoed in the hall. "I believe that everyone had a great time this summer. However, the new semester has already begun. I hope that everyone can adjust to their state as soon as possible and devote themselves to study."

Dumbledore paused for a moment, then continued, "This year, the management of our school will be stricter. No unauthorized personnel will be allowed to enter without the school's permission. This is to ensure the safety of all teachers and students. I hope everyone can understand and cooperate."

He cleared his throat and continued, "Next, I have two things to announce. First, we are honored to have invited the famous potion master, Professor Horace Slughorn, to be our Potions teacher for the new semester."

At this time, a short, fat old wizard with sparse hair stood up with a smile and waved to everyone.

Dumbledore waited for the applause to subside before announcing, "The second thing is that Professor Severus Snape will be the teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts this year."

……

The next day, Harry and Ron dragged their heavy steps towards the Potions classroom. They had originally planned to skip class, but Professor McGonagall's stern look forced them to give up the idea.

As they walked into the classroom, a strong smell of herbs hit their noses. Professor Horace was writing furiously on the blackboard with his back to them.

Hearing footsteps, Professor Horace turned around and glanced sharply at Harry and Ron, finally stopping on their empty desks.

"Why didn't you bring your textbook?" he asked sternly.

Harry and Ron fumbled to explain. Professor Horace waved his hand and pointed to an old cabinet in the corner of the classroom. "Go in and get two books first."

Harry and Ron walked to the cupboard, opened the door, and found only two Potions textbooks inside, one brand new and the other tattered.

The two exchanged a knowing look and reached out to grab the new book almost at the same time.

Ron, taking advantage of his height, snatched the new book and raised his eyebrows at Harry triumphantly.

Harry didn't try to snatch the book from Ron, so he could only grit his teeth and take the old one.

Professor Horace explained three potions in this class: Veritaserum, Polyjuice Potion, and Love Potion.

He explained in detail the ingredients, preparation methods and effects of each medicine, and used vivid examples to deepen the students' understanding.

When the topic of aphrodisiac potions came up, the girls pricked up their ears and listened very carefully.

This magic potion emits a unique fragrance that can make the person who drinks it have a strong liking for the person who drugged him, and even fall into an irresistible love.

Professor Horace specifically emphasized the dangers of the love potion and warned students not to try it lightly.

In order to test the students' learning outcomes, Professor Horace announced a class test.

He asked the students to try to prepare a difficult potion called "Water of Life and Death".

In order to motivate the students, Professor Horace took out a bottle of crystal clear liquid and told everyone that this was the legendary lucky water and that drinking a sip would make their wishes come true.

Students who successfully configure the water of birth and death will receive this bottle of magical prize.
