Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 4: First meeting with Harry
Salina looked carefully at her target this time, Harry Potter.
The boy was thin and frail, with bright green eyes like the clear water in a forest, and his messy black hair covered a thin lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
At this moment, the panicked Harry was like a frightened deer, his eyes wide open, revealing incredible fear.
His hands unconsciously grasped the stair railing tightly, as if only this could give him some sense of security.
The lightning scar on his forehead seemed to glow faintly because of his nervousness, and his whole body exuded an aura of danger and instability.
Harry's rapid breathing and face twisted with panic increased the tension of the Dursleys, and they all felt extremely uneasy.
Two weeks of repeated instructions bound Harry tightly like a spell.
He knew that this dinner was an opportunity for the Dursleys to present their image to the outside world. If he messed it up, his future life would be difficult.
Uncle Vernon's whispers, Aunt Petunia's worried eyes, and even cousin Dudley's horrified look, kept reminding him not to mess anything up.
And at this moment, just as he was trying to stay calm and trying to find his place in this strange yet familiar occasion, he saw the house-elf named Dobby sticking his head out from the stairs.
Before Harry could stop it from hiding, he saw a malicious smile on the guy's ugly face.
"To stop Harry Potter, to Hogwarts!"
Dobby just waved his arm, and the huge cake on the kitchen table floated up and flew towards Salina.
Salina knew this would happen, but she didn't expect Dobby to still be so naughty.
She certainly would not sit there and wait for the cake to fall and stain her clothes. Such an embarrassing situation would not be allowed to happen to Swinburne.
So Salina stood up and walked towards Harry, who was still staring at her with wide eyes.
Dobby obviously didn't expect this, and he retracted his head in panic, losing control of the cake and falling violently, right onto Dudley's legs.
Hearing the noise, Donald turned around and saw the Dursley child holding a big cake, looking extremely hungry.
He frowned and looked away at Vernon and Petunia's awkward smiles. He just felt that this family's upbringing was really poor.
Although Dobby moved quickly, Salina still saw it clearly.
Rather than the word "elf", Salina felt that "little monsters" was a better way to describe these creatures, with their strange green skin, big bat-like ears and eyes as big as tennis balls.
Salina extended a hand and introduced herself: "Salina Swinburne."
Harry seemed to be still a little frightened. He was stunned for a moment before he stretched out his hand in a panic, "Harry Potter."
His palms were slightly sweaty, and the hand he was holding seemed a little slippery. These details revealed his uneasiness and confusion at the moment.
"I've heard of you." Salina smiled at him.
Harry was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized that these seemingly casual words were like a bomb exploding in his ears.
Harry seemed to be struck by an electric current, his body trembled slightly, and the shock made him forget his surroundings for a moment.
His eyes, which were originally wide open due to shock, now became even bigger because of the new speculation. He involuntarily took a step back and leaned on the cold stair railing, seeking a little stability.
Ignoring Harry who was still in a daze, Salina turned to Vernon and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, in order to better carry out the cooperation, I hope to invite you and your family to a dinner at Swinburne Manor the day after tomorrow. Someone will be assigned to discuss the specific contract matters with you two."
Vernon was obviously a little surprised. For him, being able to participate in the upper-class banquet was obviously a very good opportunity for him to improve his class.
Just as he was about to agree, he heard Penny ask hesitantly, "Should our family... take these two children with us?"
Salina nodded with a smile, "Yes, take both children with you. After all, the party may last for a long time, and it is not easy for parents to leave them alone at home."
Penny's face dropped slightly, her worry obvious.
Vernon hesitated for a while, but was not ready to give up this rare opportunity, so he smiled and nodded repeatedly, "I see. Thank you for the invitation. We are very willing to go."
Serena nodded gracefully, her movements smooth and confident.
She slowly stood up, put on her exquisite coat, adjusted her collar, and walked out and got into the car gracefully.
Before getting in the car, Donald said to Vernon and Penny, "The formal invitation letter will be delivered as soon as possible. Please check it."
Before leaving, Serena rolled down the window and winked at Harry who was peeking from the second-floor windowsill.
……
In the car, Donald seemed to want to say something but stopped himself several times.
Seeing this, Salina took the initiative to speak, "Do you have anything you want to ask?"
Donald nodded and said, "Miss, I don't understand why you choose the Dursleys? They...they are a little...we obviously have many better options."
Salina looked at the night view of London outside the car window and said softly, "Donald, what's important is not the Dursleys, but the boy named Harry Potter."
Donald asked doubtfully, "Is that child special?"
Serena nodded, "Yes, he is special. Very, very special."
As night falls and the lights come on, London's skyline is adorned with lights, with the Tower Bridge and the London Eye having clear outlines and emitting a soft glow.
Along the banks of the Thames, the lights are like dancing notes, contrasting with their reflections in the river, adding a dreamy beauty.
On the street, the red silhouette of a double-decker bus moves slowly in the night, the classical buildings on the street are gently illuminated by lights, and pedestrians shuttle between them.
In the distance, the lights of tall buildings are like stars in the sky, reflecting the moon in the night sky, making people intoxicated.
Salina felt that she was looking forward to the day after tomorrow.
……
As the first ray of sunlight penetrated the curtains, the servants in the manor began their day's work.
Donald stood in the huge banquet hall, directing everyone to set the table. The silverware gleamed brightly, and the exquisite porcelain and glass cups collided with each other, making crisp and pleasant sounds.
The maids wore the same uniform and carefully placed the floral decorations and candlesticks, striving for perfection in every detail.
The kitchen is even busier, with chefs sweating in front of the stove, fragrant ingredients being stir-fried in the pan, and bakers in front of the oven carefully spreading butter on the bread.
The servants in the laundry were busy washing the tablecloths and towels for the banquet, making sure everything was spotless.
Even the gardener outside the manor got up early to trim the flowers in the garden to add a touch of vitality and color to the banquet.
The entire manor was busy preparing for the upcoming banquet. The servants had prepared everything, waiting for the guests to arrive.
