Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 5 Banquet
At the Dursleys' residence at 4 Privet Drive, the atmosphere this morning was also unusually busy.
Vernon adjusted his ill-fitting suit and tie while practicing his smile in the mirror.
Penny was trying on her evening gown in her bedroom, frowning in dissatisfaction because it felt tighter than the last time she had worn it.
At the same time, she had to instruct Dudley to change into his neat little suit that he had just picked up from the laundry.
Harry frowned slightly as he stared at the hastily-tailored, slightly odd-looking old suit in his hands.
"Do I really have to wear this?" he couldn't help but ask, his eyes revealing his dissatisfaction and confusion with this outfit.
Penny frowned, her patience clearly worn out.
She quickly walked over to Harry and tapped him on the head. The not-so-gentle technique made Harry cry out in pain.
Her voice was harsh and urgent, "Harry, stop dawdling and change your clothes. We don't have time to waste!"
Harry touched the place where he was hit, nodded helplessly, turned and walked towards his room. Although he was reluctant in his heart, he knew that resistance was useless.
……
As night falls, the banquet at Swinburne Manor is about to begin.
Under the brilliant lights, the long table in the manor was covered with a gorgeous white tablecloth, and a twinkling crystal chandelier was dotted in the center, casting a warm light, as if illuminating the entire hall like daylight.
On both sides of the long table, there are antique chestnut chairs, each of which is carved with complex and exquisite patterns, showing the long history of the Swinburne family.
The silver tableware sparkled under the light, and the red wine in the goblet was as deep as a gem, exuding an alluring aroma.
The plate was filled with carefully prepared delicacies: golden roasted meat pieces served with sauce and surrounded by a variety of vegetable salads, making it look particularly rich.
The guests arrived one after another, and the servants shuttled through the hall, carrying champagne and various drinks, serving the guests with a smile on their faces.
Soft classical music flowed in the air, adding a touch of elegance and warmth to the banquet.
The Dursleys walked among the guests a little awkwardly. It was the first time for them to attend a banquet of this level. From time to time, they could see famous wealthy businessmen and government officials.
The party was about to begin, and Sharina was wearing an exquisite and elegant dress. The soft and light satin fabric sparkled under the light, like an elf walking out of a fairy tale.
The light blue color has both childish innocence and elegance. The lace on the upper body and the delicate beads complement each other, making it look particularly exquisite. Under the fluffy skirt are several layers of soft gauze, making her look like a blooming flower when she turns around, full of endless dreams. The waist of the dress is decorated with a bow, adding a bit of playfulness and agility. With a pair of shiny leather shoes, her hair is combed into a simple yet exquisite hairstyle, a few scattered hairs are gently fixed behind her ears, and small hair accessories are dotted in between, making her a beautiful scenery in the middle of the banquet.
Salina stood beside the main table, raised a glass of champagne, and gave a polite and stage-frightened welcome speech.
Then the banquet began and everyone looked for their own goals and started discussing various projects.
Although Harry and the Dursleys were hiding in a corner, Sharina had already sent people to keep an eye on them.
After taking care of all the relationships that needed to be maintained, Salina came to the Dursley family.
Vernon and Petunia hurriedly stood up from the sofa, smiling brightly.
Salina smiled back and introduced the person she had arranged to them. "This is the person in charge of the project. He will discuss the details of the cooperation with you two next."
The person in charge smiled politely and motioned to Vernon and Petunia, "You two, please follow me."
Afterwards, Salina arranged for a special chef to bring Dudley a lot of delicious food, and Dudley's eyes lit up.
But after all, he was in an unfamiliar environment, so Dudley was still a little hesitant. He asked cautiously, "Are these...all for me?"
Salina nodded, "Yes, please enjoy it. If it's not enough, you can ask the kitchen to make more."
"Wow!" Dudley cheered and plunged into the ocean of delicious food, starting to eat.
After leaving a servant to look after her, Salina winked at Harry and motioned him to follow her.
Harry hesitated for a moment, but quickly followed Serena.
Countless questions suddenly arose in his mind, and he didn't know where to start.
"Um...excuse me...are you..." Harry started tentatively, but before he could express his question, Sharina nodded and answered his question.
"Hogwarts, I'm a freshman this year." Serena confirmed Harry's guess.
This unexpected recognition made Harry very happy and made him look forward to the next conversation with Salina even more.
"You really know Hogwarts and this year's freshmen..." Harry said excitedly.
He was full of curiosity about the mysterious girl in front of him, and couldn't help asking another question, "Um...Excuse me, what do you want to talk to me about?"
Salina smiled and replied, "I need your help."
Harry frowned slightly. He didn't quite understand what Salina meant.
He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What favor? Um... I mean, I'm not very proficient in magic..."
Salina moved a little closer to Harry, revealing a hint of trust and closeness, and said, "Take me to Diagon Alley. You should be familiar with that place, right?"
Harry's eyes lit up instantly when he heard the name Diagon Alley.
Diagon Alley is one of the most lively and mysterious places in the wizarding world. It is home to many magical shops and is where all Hogwarts wizard students buy their school supplies.
Harry nodded excitedly and said expectantly, "Of course! I'm very familiar with Diagon Alley, I can take you there."
Salina smiled with satisfaction and said, "Great, please follow me. We don't have much time and need to be back before the party ends, so we have to leave as soon as possible."
Salina turned and walked towards the small door at the back of the manor, and Harry hurriedly followed her.
……
The Leaky Cauldron is a secret bar hidden away in London, tucked away in an unassuming alleyway.
It looks ordinary and hardly attracts the attention of passers-by.
Of course, the main reason is that it was cast with a protection spell and a Muggle-repelling spell, which made it completely disappear from the map and could not be marked or found. Even if Muggles passed by here by chance, they would think it was just an ordinary wall or empty space, and would have no interest in it, and would be eager to leave this place quickly.
