Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 59 Encounter at the Observatory

The banquet at the Higgs family not only filled Salina's stomach, but also allowed her to briefly get acquainted with Terrence. However, Salina did not reveal the fact that she was also a wizard. She felt that there was no need to reveal her cards so quickly.

The vacation ended quickly and Salina returned to Hogwarts again.

But after she came back, she found that Harry and the other two must have done something again, because Hermione spent the rest of the holiday wrapped up tightly in the dormitory and was rarely seen. Harry and Ron were always whispering together, and it seemed that Malfoy was cleared of suspicion and they lost their target again.

At night, moonlight shines through the windows onto the stone floor. The figures in the oil paintings along the corridor are all asleep, and it is so quiet that only the sound of one's own breathing can be heard.

The candles on the candlesticks on both sides swayed in the breeze, the stone steps leading to the tower glowed coldly, and the geometric patterns on them were faintly visible in the moonlight. Occasionally, an owl flew through the air, making strange noises.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of footsteps, the rhythm was steady and deliberate.

Salina turned around and saw a figure hidden in the darkness.

As if noticing her gaze, the figure stopped.

Salina paused, turned around and continued towards her destination.

Looking through the vaulted ceiling of the observatory, you can see the twinkling stars.

There was no snow tonight, and the starlight penetrated the thin clouds, interweaving a series of dreamy pictures. The night breeze gently blew through the old willow trees around the observatory, blowing a few strands of hair around Salina's ears.

Salina turned around and saw the person following her.

He was wearing the uniform of Ravenclaw College. He was slender and had his collar buttoned up to the top button. His long black hair was slightly curled at the end, revealing a hint of unruliness. His eyes were like a pool of clear water, with a sharp light, as if he could see into people's hearts.

Despite his youth, he has a calm demeanor, as if he can maintain inner peace no matter how noisy the world is. He looks very Ravenclaw.

Salina said softly: "Senior, are you here to see the stars too?"

The boy raised his lips slightly and said, "Yes. Junior sister, you look very nervous. Is it because of me?"

Serena stared at him. "I thought Ravenclaws would never go out at night, just like they would never break school rules."

The boy took a few steps forward slowly and raised his eyebrows. "Stereotypes are not a good habit, junior. Because you don't look like a Gryffindor."

Salina nodded, "Senior is right, then, do you want to use the telescope first?"

The boy shook his head, "First come, first served, besides... ladies first."

Salina didn't refuse and walked to the huge telescope on the east side of the observatory.

Under the clear night sky, the astronomical telescope is like a door in time, bringing the observer into the distant universe. As the lens slowly focuses, the night sky seems to be gradually magnified, and the light of countless stars slowly appears.

The stars are like extremely finely polished gems, scattered on the deep night cloth. Some stars jump with silvery white light, seeming to whisper and tell the secrets of distant galaxies; others sparkle with blue luster, like pearls in the depths of the ocean, mysterious and unpredictable.

Through the deep lens of the astronomical telescope, the structure of the Milky Way gradually becomes clear, like a huge galaxy spanning the sky. Its interior is densely lit, and star clusters and nebulae attract the eye with their unique colors and shapes.

Occasionally, a meteor streaks across the night sky, like a painter in the sky casually casting a bright brushstroke. Although the momentary light is short-lived, it leaves behind infinite reverie.

While drawing on the notebook, Salina began to try out the new astrology divination method she had learned.

This kind of mysterious thing really exists in this magical world, but Salina's current level can only predict her daily fortune. Judging from the results of the previous few times, her success rate is still quite high.

Your fortune will be normal tomorrow, and there may be some unexpected little surprises.

A little surprise? Salina thought about it but could not come to a conclusion, so she walked away from the telescope and looked at the boy next to her.

"Senior, I'm done."

The boy looked at Salina thoughtfully, "Are you doing star divination? I remember there was no such course in the first grade?"

Salina paused and uttered two words, "Self-study."

The boy was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "You really don't look like a Gryffindor."

Serena whispered, "The Sorting Hat can't make mistakes."

"That old antique? Who knows." The boy stretched out his hand. "Michael Corner, want to be friends?"

Salina took one look at the hand and turned away.

Michael was the only one left on the rooftop enjoying the fresh air...

Suddenly, a suppressed laugh was heard in the darkness, and then a figure slowly emerged.

"Do you need me to bring you a mirror so you can take a good look at how stupid you are now?"

Michael rolled his eyes. "Go away, you ignorant fellow."

Then he walked over to the telescope and stood there, pulling out parchment and a quill.

Another person came over to take a look and asked curiously, "Are you really here to study? I thought that was just an excuse for you to get close to the pretty school girl."

Michael turned and stared at him, "No way, Roger Davis! You're so old! And you still want to mess with a junior high school girl?!"

Roger was a little angry and reached out to hit Michael on the head, causing him to cry out in pain.

"What nonsense are you talking about! I'm only two years older than you! How can I be considered old?! Besides, when did I ever say I was going to look for my junior high school girl?"

Michael rubbed his head and walked away from Roger, "That's good. I almost thought you were going to evolve from a scumbag to a pervert."

Roger moved his wrist and heard the sound of bones crackling. "Are you itching for trouble?"

Michael waved his hands and shouted, "Stop, stop, can't you see I'm studying? Don't disturb me."

"Tsk, making excuses again." Although Roger was harsh in his words, he did not take any further action.

Silence returned to the observatory, with only the stars still twinkling and whispering.

At a certain moment, fluttering snowflakes fell quietly from the deep blue sky, and the observatory began to flicker with a faint light under the baptism of snowflakes.

On the cold and silent metal telescope, the snowflakes fell silently in the cold air, covering up the original color, and a layer of light white snowflakes seemed to sprinkle stardust on it.

Michael's annoyed voice sounded, "Oh! Merlin! Why is it snowing?! I haven't finished my homework yet!"

Roger looked up and said, "It looks like the snow will not stop tonight. You are destined to fail to finish your homework."

"Tsk!" Michael suddenly turned his gaze to Roger, "You must have done this homework before, lend me yours for reference."

Roger rolled his eyes, "Are you stupid? Who would keep a homework book from two years ago?"

Michael stroked his chin and said, “I’m not sure about others, but a narcissistic guy like you definitely stayed.”

"Who are you calling narcissistic?"

"I'll help you find out about the beautiful senior."

"Which one?"

"The one you've been chasing after lately."

"make a deal."

The two figures quickly disappeared from the observatory.
