Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 6 Trip to Diagon Alley
The door of the Leaky Cauldron is made of old wood, with mottled paint and slight dents, as if the years have carved countless stories on it.
The brass handle on the door was polished to a shine, showing that although it was hidden, it was frequently used.
Once you pass through this door, you will find that the interior is the opposite of the ordinary exterior, presenting a warm and mysterious atmosphere.
Antique mirrors and various magical items are hung on the walls, emitting a faint light, adding a touch of mystery to the bar.
The low ceiling is topped by a chandelier made from old-fashioned candles, which emit a soft yellow glow and make the whole space feel warm and intimate.
The bar counter was made of rough wood and was filled with all kinds of strange wine bottles. The bottles contained not only wine, but also liquids of various colors, including some jars containing unknown creatures.
On the shelf behind the bar, there are densely packed magical drinks from all over the world, and each bottle has its own unique story.
The seating area in the bar consists of several groups of wooden tables and chairs, which are placed slightly casually, providing customers with a good place to relax and chat.
There is a small stage in the corner, where wizards often perform with magical instruments, adding a bit of joy and fantasy to the atmosphere of the bar.
Harry led Serena through the Leaky Cauldron with confidence and skill. He easily led Serena through the crowd, past groups of casually placed wooden tables and chairs, avoiding the customers gathered at the bar, and walked to the back of the bar.
There was a small door here that seemed to be integrated with the surrounding walls. Harry stopped, turned to face Salina, and showed a smile of pride and expectation.
He said to Salina: "This is the door to Diagon Alley. As long as we pass through here, we can enter Diagon Alley. There are many wonderful shops there."
After passing through a narrow and dark alley, Salina finally saw Diagon Alley.
Diagon Alley is brightly lit at night, the air is filled with magic, and every shop on the street exudes a strange light, attracting Muggles passing by to stop and watch. Every time they pass by, it seems that there is a new magical item that attracts their attention.
On a busy night like this in Diagon Alley, the crowds were dense enough to easily make one lose their way.
The bustling crowd surged around them like a tide, and Salina and Harry's figures were sometimes close and sometimes separated, like waves in the water.
The lights on the street were projected onto the crowd, creating a mottled effect that made everyone look a little mysterious and blurry.
Just as she turned around, Salina found that Harry's figure had become a little blurry and was about to disappear from her sight.
Salina instantly realized that the bustling crowd was like a silent torrent, and if they didn't hold on to each other, they would easily be dispersed.
So Salina reached out and grabbed Harry's sleeve tightly.
Harry seemed to have noticed the power of the crowd. He turned around and saw Serena extending her hand. After a moment's pause, he took the initiative to hold Serena's hand.
When Sharina raised her head and her eyes inadvertently swept across Harry's face, she noticed that the tips of Harry's ears seemed a little red.
In the darkness of the night, the boy who was hailed as the savior by the magical world now showed a shyness that suited his age.
The red spread to Harry's neck, making him look like a newly blooming summer flower, both shy and charming.
How cute, thought Serena.
Their first stop was the wizarding world's bank, Gringotts.
Gringotts sits at the corner of Diagon Alley and is one of the most secure financial institutions in the wizarding world.
The huge building is surrounded by ancient runes and magical decorations, exuding a solemn and mysterious atmosphere.
When you walk into Gringotts Bank, the first thing that catches your eye is the tall marble columns, each of which is carved with countless ancient runes and fantasy patterns, as if telling endless legends.
Scattered among the pillars were fairies gleaming with golden light. Holding slender pens, they wrote and drew on ancient books and scrolls, recording the flow of every fortune.
The bank's lobby is spacious and tall, with golden light pouring down from the ceiling, setting off the jewel colors reflected on the ground.
The entire hall is bright and simple in layout, yet full of mystery.
The goblins shuttle back and forth, responsible for the management and protection of the wealth.
Goblins are slender and short, and their skin is a dark color, like the old soil buried in the earth.
Their faces are long and slightly serious, lacking the endearing naivety of the house-elves.
Instead, there is a hint of alertness and severity, as if they take every penny of wealth extremely seriously.
Although the goblins' appearance is not appealing, their clothes are extremely exquisite, just like their serious attitude towards work.
Their ears are pointed and the top of their heads look like peaks deliberately shaped with hair wax, giving people a feeling of being smart and capable.
What is most striking is their cunning eyes, which are bright and sharp, like deep gems that can see into people's hearts, and flash with shrewd brilliance from time to time.
These eyes were even more alert when examining the wizards passing by, as if they could see through any attempts to deceive or sneak around.
In Gringotts, a sea of gems and runes, the goblins are like shrewd old helmsmen, steering the financial boat and navigating skillfully in the vast ocean.
Even though their aesthetics might not be up to ordinary standards, it was not difficult to see in their sharp eyes the cunning and wisdom of the wizarding world's financial gatekeepers that could not be ignored.
Harry led Salina to the exchange counter in the lobby of Gringotts. "We need to exchange pounds into the common currency of wizards, gold Galleons, silver Sickles and copper Knuts," Harry explained to Salina.
When the gold galleons are passed from hand to hand, they carry a hint of warmth and weight.
It is beautifully designed with a majestic lion engraved on the front and an image of a wizard holding a wand on the back.
Every detail reveals the refinement and sophistication of the magical world, and seems to be silently telling those ancient and mysterious stories.
Silver Sikor, in comparison, is much lighter and feels slightly cool to the touch.
Its pattern is a soaring swan with exquisite magic patterns on its wings. Every time you touch it with your fingers, you seem to be able to feel the power and elegance of the swan flying freely in the sky.
The Copper Knut is the smallest wizard currency, and when held in the palm of the hand, it always exudes a lively magical atmosphere.
Its design depicts a jumping kitten, which is vivid and lively, as if it will jump out of the coin at any time and turn into a real little animal playing on the palm of your hand.
These wizard currencies are not just a medium of transaction, they are like magical items with life in themselves, each with its own unique magical properties and story background.
To those in the Muggle world, they are fantastical and precious works of art, while to wizards, they are an integral part of daily life.
Serena gently picked up a gold Galleon, felt its weight on her fingertips, and smiled, "Okay, Harry, now we can go shopping."
