Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 65 Snape's Tutoring

The next day, when the first ray of sunlight in the morning shone through the gap in the curtains and gently fell on Salina's face, she slowly opened her eyes.

She got up from her comfortable bed, packed her belongings, and then tiptoed out of the warm and cozy dormitory and came to the spacious common room.

The room was unusually quiet, without the usual laughter and joy, as if the entire space was asleep.

The stove hanging on the wall still emits residual heat, and the wooden floor reflects a warm light.

Salina gently placed the heavy schoolbag on the old sofa in the common room. The cotton material of the sofa trembled slightly under the pressure of the heavy schoolbag, as if protesting against this sudden burden.

Last night Dumbledore announced that there would be no exams this semester, so most of the little lions partyed almost the entire night, and Salina was one of the few who went to bed on time.

She was going to find Snape today. After Harry killed the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, Snape was responsible for cleaning up the basilisk's body, which were all extremely rare and excellent materials for potions.

Snape's office is located in a corner of the basement of Hogwarts, which is filled with mystery and gloom.

After knocking on the door, Snape's hoarse and cold voice came from inside, "Come in."

Upon entering the room, the first thing that caught my eye was the tall bookshelves, which were densely packed with various ancient potion books. Most of the covers were mottled, but they still revealed the infinite power of knowledge. In the gaps between the bookshelves, I could occasionally see a few skeleton specimens and strange creatures in glass jars. The liquids in these bottles and jars were of different colors, some were as red as blood, and some were as dark as ink.

In the center of the room was a large black wooden desk, the desktop was neat but mysterious. On the desk were several silver ink bottles and quills, and an old oil lamp emitted a faint glow, making the entire office shrouded in a mysterious atmosphere. In the corner of the desk was a strangely shaped potion cauldron, and next to it were several open potion books, covered with scribbled notes and marks.

Snape's office chair was a high-backed leather chair, dark in color and soft in texture, but anyone who sat on it felt an invisible sense of oppression. There was also a long operating table next to the desk, on which were placed various instruments and materials for making potions, arranged neatly and orderly, allowing one to see the owner's rigor and professionalism at a glance.

The walls were covered with all kinds of strange ornaments and potion recipe charts. The dark green wallpaper looked particularly eerie under the dim light. Occasionally, some runes emitting faint light appeared on the wallpaper, as if warning every trespasser.

The whole office exudes a mixture of herbs, potions and old books. The smell is strong but not pungent, which makes people feel a mysterious calm. This is Snape's office, a place full of knowledge, power and mystery, and also his private territory in Hogwarts.

Snape looked at Salina, put down the pen in his hand, and asked, "Swinburne, what are you doing here?"

Salina took a few steps closer, put her schoolbag on the long table, and said politely, "Professor, I have some questions for you."

Snape raised his eyebrows. "Oh? That's strange. Didn't you know that Dumbledore said last night that there would be no exams this semester?"

Salina nodded, "I know, but I still want to understand these issues."

Snape stared at Salina for a long time, then stood up, walked to Salina, and took the parchment from her hand.

"Okay, then I'll give you this chance. But I'll only explain it once. If you don't understand, then go back with your giant head in your arms and don't waste my time!"

"Thank you, Professor."

An hour later, Snape looked at the perfect potion prepared by Salina and nodded, "It seems that you are quite talented. You can barely catch up with me when I was studying."

Salina took the opportunity to say, "Professor, I have another request."

Snape was clearly in a good mood, "Go ahead."

Salina immediately listed the materials she needed, "I hope to get some basilisk venom and some snake skin..."

Hearing this, Snape looked at Salina coldly, "Oh, cunning girl, you really have a purpose. Go back, you are not qualified to use these things at your current level."

Salina asked, "Then Professor, what level do you think we need to reach to get those materials?"

Snape stared at Salina silently, continuing to release his cold low pressure. But Salina seemed unaware of it and continued to look at him with her bright and almost glowing eyes.

After a long while, Snape suddenly turned his head and walked away, saying coldly: "Don't look at me with those disgusting eyes of yours."

Salina silently withdrew her gaze and gritted her teeth secretly, "Snape, you are such a mean-spirited person. No wonder you were abandoned by Lily. You deserve to be loved but not be loved! He~tui!"

Just as Salina was about to pack up and leave, she heard Snape say, "If you can mix the perfect Felixir on the spot right now, I will give you the materials you need."

Salina looked up in surprise and saw that Snape had returned to his armchair, with his head down, continuing to write and draw.

……

As night fell, the lights in Hogwarts Castle gradually dimmed, the breathing of the young wizards became steady, and Salina returned from Snape's office with a full load.

It's really not easy to deal with this old Deng who is harsh and speaks harshly.

I really don't know how Lily could be friends with this guy for so long. It must be true love. It's a pity that Old Deng didn't know how to cherish it and only regretted it after losing it.

As Salina was sighing, a figure came from the corner.

Percy looked at Salina in surprise, then walked up to her and said, "If you can give a suitable reason, I can consider letting you off the hook this time."

Salina took out the "pardon" signed by Snape from her pocket. "I just took a make-up class with Professor Snape. This is his signature."

Percy carefully looked at the handwriting, then looked at Salina in surprise and said, "It's Professor Snape's signature. This is really rare. Your Potions class grades must be very good."

"It's just so-so." Salina took the autograph back from Percy, "So, senior, can I go back now?"

Percy nodded. "Well, go back now."

On the way back, Salina couldn't help but wonder what was going on between Percy and Penelope, and whether they had reconciled. She hadn't had time to pay attention to them before.

My thoughts were all over the place and I soon returned to the lounge.
