Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 66: Sitting in the Library

At dawn, the library is immersed in a warm golden light. In front of the transparent French windows, rows of bookshelves stand silently, and countless books carrying knowledge are arranged on the wood-scented bookshelves.

The sun shines gently through the window screen onto the reading table, creating mottled light and shadows. In the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the only sounds you can hear are the rustling of pages and gentle breathing.

Because of Salina's intervention, the Chamber of Secrets incident was resolved ahead of schedule. Although Dumbledore announced the cancellation of exams this semester, everyone still had to attend classes.

However, because there was no pressure to review, there were fewer little wizards cramming in the library. At a glance, almost all of them were wearing Ravenclaw's blue uniforms.

Near the window of the library, there is a worn oak table, on which the years have left countless indescribable patterns. The windows themselves are very old, and they tremble slightly, and every time the wind blows, there are bursts of light noises.

Through the window, you can see the sycamore leaves swaying in the wind in Hogwarts. The sun playfully shines through the window glass and sprinkles on the table, covering the small area with a layer of warm gold. The chair is an old wooden armchair. The once bright paint is now mottled. Every part of it squeaks, as if telling the story of years.

When Salina sat down there, this corner seemed to suddenly come alive, and the scenery outside the window became the most natural background.

After a long while, a figure suddenly sat down opposite Salina.

Salina noticed something and looked up. It was a familiar person, the fool she met at the observatory.

Michael smiled at Salina and started his own studies.

Seeing that the person in front of her remained quiet, Salina did not change her seat and continued to read with her head down.

There was no extra conversation between them, only the occasional sound of turning pages gently breaking the silence. Scattered around were open books, notebooks and a forgotten cup of coffee, the steam slowly evaporating from the edge of the cup, adding a touch of liveliness to the quiet scene.

As the last ray of sunset light faded away, the lights in the library gradually lit up, and a warm and soft light enveloped the entire space, providing a warm and comfortable environment for the little wizards.

Salina looked up from the book and realized that she had been reading for a whole day.

Touching her stomach, she decided she needed to find something to eat, so she immediately started packing up the books on the table.

Michael also looked up at this time, and when he saw Salina get up and leave, he hurriedly began to pack his things.

I picked up the cup of cold coffee and looked at it, but ultimately I couldn't drink it. I could only carefully take the things out of the library again.

After finishing the coffee, Michael quickly chased in the direction where Salina left, and finally caught up with Salina at the stairs.

Salina looked at the person standing in front of her, looking at him with some confusion, "What do you want?"

Michael smiled and said, "We met at the observatory, do you remember? Michael Corner."

Salina nodded, "Oh. What's up? Senior Kona."

Michael touched his nose and said, "School girl, you haven't told me your name yet."

Salina tilted her head, "I'm sorry, I thought you already knew my name, after all, you like to peek a lot, senior... My name is Salina Swinburne."

Michael coughed lightly and whispered, "I didn't expect you to be so sensitive, Salina..."

"So, Senior Kona, what exactly do you want to talk to me about?" asked Salina.

Michael paused and said, "It's like this, I see you haven't eaten yet, so I want to ask you if you want to go to the kitchen with me."

"Kitchen." Salina remembered that when Harry and Ron missed the dinner, Fred and George brought them enough food to fill the table from the kitchen.

"Yes, it's near the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room. I've been there a few times. If you want, I can take you there." Michael's words were filled with anticipation.

Salina glanced at him, thought about it, and felt that she was indeed hungry, so she nodded and said, "Okay."

Michael smiled and said excitedly, "Follow me."

After following Michael through the hall, Salina walked along the stairs leading to the Hufflepuff underground common room.

In the stone underground corridor, there was a painting of a bowl of fruit. Under the bright light, Michael pointed to the pear in the painting and said to Salina, "The entrance is here. Just gently scratch the pear in the painting, like this."

As he spoke, he reached out his hand and gently scratched the yellow pear in the painting. The pear giggled and soon turned into a green doorknob. Salina followed Michael into the Hogwarts kitchen for the first time.

Winding down the stone steps, the dim and warm wall lamps on both sides emit a faint glow, making the entire descent full of a mysterious and warm atmosphere. As you go deeper and deeper, the air is gradually filled with the aroma of various foods - a mixture of freshly baked bread, roasted meat and vanilla, which makes people unconsciously speed up their pace.

Finally, the kitchen itself came into view, a large, lofty space with a high, arched ceiling from which hung mills and boilers. The walls were covered with utensils and spatulas, and the busy elves filled the place with a lively and cheerful atmosphere. The fire in the kitchen was blazing, giving the whole space warmth and light.

Michael made an inviting gesture and said to Salina: "You can pick whatever you like and taste it at will. These elves will not stop you."

Just as Michael said, the elves welcomed Selina's tasting and enthusiastically recommended more food to her.

While Salina and Michael were enjoying the VIP service provided by the elves, two more people came in through the door. Salina took a look and found that they were familiar faces.

Ernie was telling Cedric about his views on the new tactics. When he turned around and saw Salina, the painful memories of being beaten suddenly came to his mind, and he felt the wounds on his face that had already healed begin to ache again.

He bit his tongue accidentally, cried out in pain, and stammered to Cedric, "I, I suddenly remembered that I have something else to do, so I'll skip the midnight snack and leave first!"

Salina fell into deep thought as she looked at Ernie's embarrassed back as he ran away. Did she hit him too hard? The child was so scared that he must have some psychological trauma.

Salina couldn't help but eat another strawberry. Mm, it was so sweet.
