Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 67: Kitchen Encounter

Under the warm yellow light of the kitchen, Cedric recognized Salina at once. His steps paused slightly, but soon returned to normal. He walked in front of Salina and said with a smile: "Swinburne, you are here for supper too."

Serena nodded, "Yeah. Forgot about dinner time."

Cedric looked at the strawberry mousse in Salina's hand, then smiled and said to her, "Your magical ability is very strong. I wonder if there is a chance for me to discuss it with you. Actually, I wanted to talk about it last time, but unfortunately Ernie was not in good condition at that time."

Just as Salina was about to speak, Michael suddenly interrupted, "Cedric, I'm a living person standing here, can't you see me?"

Cedric then turned his attention to Michael and said, "I'm sorry Michael, I didn't mean it. So, what do you think, Swinburne?"

Michael narrowed his eyes, gritted his teeth secretly, stood up and squeezed Cedric away, and said, "She doesn't think so, don't you think so, Salina?"

Hearing Michael's address, Cedric raised his eyebrows, looked at Salina's reaction calmly, and said, "I think, Michael, you shouldn't make decisions for ladies. That's impolite."

Michael said without showing any weakness: "I was rejecting her embarrassing request on her behalf. It was a very considerate and gentlemanly act."

Salina ate another strawberry silently. Hmm, it still tasted delicious.

Seeing that the two elementary school kids were about to fight, Salina said softly, "I'm sorry, Senior Diggory. I don't think I, a first-year student, can help you."

Hearing this, Michael immediately raised his head, with a victorious attitude, and said: "Did you hear that, Cedric? They rejected you."

Cedric felt a little disappointed, but when he heard Michael's provocation, he just gave him a wait-and-see look, then said goodbye to Salina with a smile.

"I'm sorry, but since this is your decision, I understand. Enjoy your meal."

Cedric then packed a lot of food and left the kitchen.

After eating and drinking her fill, Salina packed up some strawberry mousse with the enthusiasm of the elves and then left the kitchen.

Overall, I had a great time tonight! I will come again next time.

On the way back to the common room, Salina turned her head to look at Michael and said, "Senior Cona, the tower leading to the Ravenclaw common room needs to take that staircase."

Michael nodded and said, "Of course I know, I just... want to take you to the door of the lounge."

Salina tilted her head. What does this guy mean? Is it what I thought? Forget it, don't think too much. It's a taboo to be sentimental.

After some brainstorming, Sharina nodded, "Oh."

Then she walked towards the lounge on her own. When she reached the door, Salina gave the command and the Fat Lady opened the door.

Just as Salina was about to enter the room, she suddenly heard Michael behind her whisper, "Good night."

Salina paused slightly, then continued to walk in as if nothing had happened.

The Fat Lady closed the door, looked at Michael outside, and asked, "Do you want to come in too? According to the rules, you can't come in. But if you want to listen to me sing..."

Michael decisively turned and left, "No, thank you."

Fat Lady: “…”

Watching the figure disappear on the stairs, the fat lady snorted, secretly spat at the ignorant boy, then poured herself a glass of red wine, leaned back on the couch and sipped it.

……

In the basement classroom, the Potions class proceeded as usual.

The crucible on the table was bubbling, with liquids of various colors rolling in it, emitting a strange smell.

Salina was processing the herbs in her hands when she heard Colin on the other side exclaiming in surprise. She looked up and saw that he had accidentally let the scarab crawl onto the glass reagent.

Before he could hesitate whether to catch it with his bare hands, the scarab flew towards his face.

Frightened, Colin screamed and hit the table with his violent movement, knocking over a tube of reagent on the table, and the liquid poured out into the crucible. Then, after a while, the liquid in the crucible suddenly surged violently, and then there was a bang and a puff of black smoke.

The potion failed.

Kona, who was covered in dust, looked at the scarab on his shoulder and couldn't help but panic again. Salina, who couldn't bear it anymore, stepped forward and took the scarab off Colin's shoulder and put it back into the glass bottle.

Before Colin could breathe a sigh of relief, he saw Snape, with a gloomy face, approaching him and said coldly: "Well done, Mr. Creevy, you have wasted another piece of material. Five points deducted from Gryffindor."

"Oh, no!" Colin hung his head in frustration.

Salina placed the glass bottle containing the scarab in front of him and said softly, "Colin, the scarab is not poisonous, don't be too scared. There is still some time before the end of get out of class, enough time for you to finish this potion."

Colin nodded. "Thank you, Serena. I'm sorry I've cost Gryffindor points again. It's all my fault."

Salina shook her head and comforted him, "No one will blame you, Colin. It was just an accident."

Looking at Snape who was walking away, Salina leaned over and whispered, "When I'm done, I'll help you deal with the scarab."

Feeling the warm breath brushing against his ears, Colin's face turned red all the way to his neck, but because his face was now covered in black and gray, no one noticed.

Colin nodded repeatedly and responded in a low voice: "Okay."

Salina returned to her crucible, speeded up the processing of the various potion materials, and then put them into the crucible one by one at the appropriate time.

Colin watched from afar and felt that Salina's movements were smooth and flowing, revealing an indescribable charm.

Suddenly, he heard Professor Snape's light cough. Colin was frightened and hurriedly lowered his head to start processing his materials.

After class, Colin, who finally finished brewing the potion with the help of Salina, breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly left the Potions classroom.

He really didn't want to see Professor Snape for a moment, it was too scary!

Seeing that Salina and Ginny were walking side by side in front of him, Colin couldn't help but laugh. He took a few quick steps forward and walked side by side with the two of them.

Ginny poked her head over from Salina's right side and asked, "Colin, are you afraid of bugs?"

Colin scratched his head and said, "Well, a little bit."

Ginny asked curiously, "What about butterflies? Are you afraid of them?"

Colin shrank his neck and said, "Well... a little bit."

Ginny was a little surprised, "You are afraid of this too!"

Serena gently pushed Ginny's head back and changed the subject: "What would you like to eat tonight? There's still time to pass a note to the kitchen."

Ginny was indeed distracted and started thinking about what to eat for dinner.

The shadows of the three people were very long in the setting sun and slowly overlapped.
