Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 76 The Last Day of Summer Vacation

The leaves on the trees began to turn yellow, and a few fallen leaves swirled in the autumn wind and fell from the branches, announcing that summer was coming to an end. Unconsciously, the last day of summer vacation arrived.

When Serena stepped into the Leaky Cauldron, the noisy sounds and the rich aroma of butterbeer hit her in the face, making her feel a little dazed. The leisure of summer vacation seemed to be just yesterday, but the lively scene in front of her reminded her that the new semester was about to begin.

"Salina!"

A red-haired figure rushed towards her, almost knocking over the waiter who was holding a tray. "Ron, be careful!" Salina smiled and dodged Ron's bear hug, looking at her good friend in front of her.

Ron looked a lot darker than before, but he was in high spirits, with an undisguised excitement on his face. Behind him followed Mrs. Weasley and the twin brothers, and Percy was helping his mother carry in the large and small luggage, with a hint of impatience on his face.

"Egypt is amazing!" Ron waved his arms excitedly, almost knocking over Ginny's pumpkin juice. "We went to the pyramids and rode camels! I brought you gifts, I'll show them to you later!"

Mrs. Weasley came over with a smile and gave Serena a warm hug. "How was your holiday, dear? You look well."

"Very well, Mrs. Weasley," Serena responded politely.

"Oh, look at this!" Ron suddenly pulled out his wand and waved it excitedly, "It's fixed! Mr. Ollivander said it works better than before!"

Salina noticed that the wand was wrapped with a lot of new tape, obviously it had been treated "roughly", but Ron obviously didn't care about it. He was excitedly describing to Salina his "glorious deeds" of using magic to tease his brothers in Egypt.

Salina listened to his story with a smile, while looking around carefully for Harry and Hermione.

Not long after, the door of the bar was pushed open again, and Hermione and her parents walked in. The Grangers were obviously curious about everything in the wizarding world, and they looked around curiously, while Hermione followed behind her parents a little embarrassedly, introducing them to everyone.

After a brief greeting, Hermione's parents said goodbye and left. Before leaving, Hermione's mother was a little worried and told her to be careful. Hermione blushed and hurriedly agreed.

Then Harry also came down from upstairs, and the group of people hugged each other warmly.

"Harry, are you okay?" Hermione came forward and asked with concern.

"I'm fine." Harry forced a smile, "Just had a little trouble."

Under everyone's questioning, Harry stammered and told the whole story. It turned out that his life at the Dursleys' was not easy. His Aunt Marge made things difficult for him and insulted his parents. In a rage, Harry accidentally used magic and blew Aunt Marge into a huge balloon.

"So, the Ministry isn't going to sack me?" Harry asked nervously.

"Don't worry, Harry, they won't expel you." Hermione comforted, "You were acting in self-defense, and you are still a minor..."

"Yeah, Harry, don't worry." Ron agreed, "We'll all help you."

After lunch, everyone started discussing going to Diagon Alley for shopping.

Diagon Alley was as busy as ever, with a dazzling array of shops. Salina followed the Weasley family through the crowd, her ears filled with all kinds of hawking and bargaining.

At Madam Malkin's robe shop, Salina customized a new robe for herself.

The ice cream balls from Florin's Ice Cream Shop were stacked like small hills on the cones, and the rich chocolate aroma made Salina's appetite grow.

Ron was even more exaggerated and directly ordered the largest strawberry banana sundae in the store, attracting envious glances from the children around him.

"Ron, aren't you afraid of becoming a fat man?" Ginny joked, licking the mango smoothie that Fred handed over.

"None of your business!" Ron retorted with his cheeks puffed out, but his eyes unconsciously drifted to Hermione beside him.

Hermione noticed Ron's gaze but pretended not to notice it and lowered her head to concentrate on her chocolate ice cream.

After leaving the cold drink shop, the group came to Bloomingdale's Bookstore.

"Oh my god, why is this year's Potions textbook so expensive!" Ron wailed, his face turning green as he held the thick book "Advanced Potion Making" in his hand.

Salina looked through the book "Defense Against the Dark Arts: An Advanced Guide" in her hand, frowning slightly. The content of the book was much more profound than she had imagined, and it also involved some dark magic creatures that she had never come into contact with.

"What's wrong, Salina?" Harry noticed her expression and asked with concern.

"It's nothing, I just think the content of this book is a bit difficult." Salina shook her head.

"Don't worry, Salina, we can study together." Hermione winked at Salina, with encouragement in her eyes.

Finally, the group arrived at the pet store.

"Hermione, are you sure you want to buy this cat?" Ron looked at the dirty ginger cat in Hermione's hand pitifully with a bitter face. "It doesn't look friendly at all, and it keeps staring at Scabbers!"

Hermione looked down at the lazy cat in her arms, then looked at Scabbers who was shivering on Ron's shoulder, and said disapprovingly, "Don't worry, Ron, Crookshanks is just an ordinary cat, it won't hurt Scabbers."

"An ordinary cat? Hermione, didn't you see the look in its eyes just now? It was as if it saw delicious cheese!" Ron gestured exaggeratedly, trying to make Hermione understand the seriousness of the matter.

"Ron, you're exaggerating!" Hermione rolled her eyes. "I just feel sorry for Crookshanks. He's been here for a long time and no one has bought him. And look at how special he looks. A ginger cat, how rare is that!"

Ron was about to say something else, but was interrupted by Hermione. She turned to the shop owner, a smiling witch, and asked, "How much is this cat?"

"Seven Galleons, dear," the shopkeeper said with a smile.

"Okay." Hermione took out her purse and was about to pay when she was stopped by a hand.

"Let me do it," Harry said, handing the money to the shopkeeper, "consider it a gift to you, Hermione."

"Oh, Harry, you're so kind!" Hermione said in surprise. "Thank you!"

Ron muttered quietly, "Seven Galleons for an ugly cat, Hermione is crazy..."

As the group walked out of the pet store, Ron was still complaining about the threat posed by Crookshanks to Scabbers, while Hermione held Crookshanks in her arms and stroked his fur from time to time.

"Crookshanks, just follow me from now on. I will take good care of you." Hermione said to Crookshanks gently.

Crookshanks squinted his eyes comfortably, seeming to enjoy Hermione's touch.
