Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 98 Autumn Zhang

Although the potion prepared by Salina was very effective and Cedric's face was visibly rosy, Salina still insisted that he go home to rest for a while and take good care of his body. Cedric could not persuade her and could only nod and agree.

Cedric felt empty when he returned home. This house, which was full of warmth in the past, now made him feel extremely lonely.

His parents were away on vacation, and he was the only one lying on the sofa in the living room, bored, waving his wand in his hand from time to time, his thoughts drifting to Hogwarts and to the girl who had been haunting him - Salina.

Cedric had to admit that he was deeply attracted to Salina.

She was mysterious and independent, as if she was always full of unknowns, like a fascinating puzzle that made him want to get closer and find out. What moved him even more was that under her seemingly cold appearance, she hid a soft heart.

When she was healing his wounds, her focused eyes and gentle movements were like a warm flame, burning gently in his heart.

……

The thrilling werewolf riot that night seemed to be quietly erased by an invisible hand, and there was almost no news among the students, as if it had never happened. Only some professors gathered together to talk in low voices with serious expressions, and occasionally they looked at Professor Lupin with a hint of uneasiness.

Not long after, Lupin received a message sent by owl. The Hogwarts school emblem seal on the parchment looked particularly cold, and the content was the news that he was fired by the board of directors on the grounds that his werewolf identity posed a threat to the safety of students.

Outside Hogwarts Castle, the afterglow of the setting sun dyed the sky orange-red and covered the forbidden forest in the distance with a faint golden light.

When Salina went to say goodbye, Lupin was standing next to the packed suitcases, smiling and encouraging her: "You are very talented, Salina, and you will definitely become an excellent wizard in time." He paused, looking at the rolling hills in the distance, with a little more expectation in his eyes, "I am looking forward to seeing your future achievements."

"Remus, come back with me to Grimmauld Place. It will always be your home." Black looked at Lupin sincerely, with hope in his eyes. "We can live together, just like before."

Lupin put down the book in his hand and smiled with relief: "Thank you, Sirius, I am happy to do so."

"This is Harry's permission to go to Hogsmeade." Black handed the parchment to Serena. "I signed it as his guardian, so that Harry can go to Honeydukes Candy House with his friends openly."

Salina watched Lupin and Black disappear into the night, feeling mixed emotions. She sighed softly, stuffed the parchment into her pocket, and turned back to the castle.

……

The corridors were bustling with students coming and going, discussing Quidditch, homework, and the latest trend of Chocolate Frog cards.

Salina lowered her head and moved among the crowd, her thoughts still immersed in the problems in the Potions class.

Suddenly, she felt herself bump into something, and the herbology textbook in her hand fell to the ground with a "pop".

"Oh, sorry! I didn't notice..." Salina looked up suddenly, but met a pair of clear eyes.

The girl in front of me has smooth black hair, and her eyes under her bangs are full of worry and apology.

"It's okay, I was just walking too fast." The girl smiled gently and bent down to help Salina pick up the book. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, thank you." Salina took the book and dusted it off, then she noticed the word "Zhang" engraved on the badge on the girl's chest.

"Who are you...?" asked Salina.

"My name is Qiu Zhang, and I'm a fourth-year Ravenclaw." The girl introduced herself politely. "What about you?"

"Sarina Swinburne, Gryffindor second year."

"I know you, another talented girl in Gryffindor after Hermione Granger," Qiu pointed at the Herbology textbook in Salina's hand, "Are you going to the library?"

"Yeah." Salina nodded.

"What a coincidence, me too, let's go together." A relaxed smile appeared on Qiu's face. Only then did Salina realize that when she smiled, the corners of her eyes would bend slightly, making her look particularly gentle.

The library is quiet and warm. The sunlight shines through the stained glass windows, casting mottled shadows. The air is filled with the unique scent of ancient books.

Salina and Qiu walked side by side between the bookshelves, occasionally discussing in low voices the books they were interested in. Before they knew it, time had slipped away.

They sat down by the window, and Salina stared at the Herbology textbook in front of her intently, her slender fingers unconsciously stroking the edge of the parchment. She was working on a difficult potion formula, and the names of various rare herbs and complicated processing steps were circling in her mind.

"What are you looking at?" Qiu leaned over curiously, and his black hair gently brushed across Salina's cheek.

Salina was startled by this sudden intimacy. She was stunned for a moment before explaining, "I'm trying to improve a potion for treating scabies, but I still feel that some of the steps in the formula don't make sense..."

Qiu smiled softly, his eyes curved beautifully. "I seem to have seen some descriptions about sap grass and jumping bulbs. If this is what you are worried about, then I think I can help a little."

Salina pushed her notes over a bit and said, "That's great. All my ideas are here. You can take a look first..."

"Look," Qiu said excitedly, pointing to a step in the book, "It says here that we should mash the hops corms before adding them, but I remember Professor Sprout once said that the juice of the whole hops corms contains a special enzyme that can neutralize the toxicity of the sap grass. Maybe we can try..."

The two girls discussed back and forth, and Salina was completely immersed in the world of herbal medicine. She had never felt so relaxed and comfortable. Qiu had a quick mind and could always keep up with her thoughts and even come up with some bold hypotheses.

"Salina, you are amazing!" Qiu suddenly grabbed Salina's hand, with admiration in his eyes. "Your knowledge of potions is simply amazing. I think you will become a great potion master in the future!"

Salina lowered her head and smiled, saying, "I'm still far from that level..."

"Don't be so modest," Qiu smiled and patted Salina on the shoulder, "You are very talented and work very hard. I believe you will become a powerful potion master!"
