204 Just a Shell

I didn't know whether I was fainted or asleep. I was slapped on the face several times before I woke up slowly. I found myself handcuffed to a chair and most of my body seemed to have lost consciousness.

Two interrogators, a man and a woman, were sitting in the front, flipping through a stack of manuscript paper.

"Where did you get the money to buy food?"

Not to mention that he had no strength left, even if he had some energy, Xiao Wei didn't want to answer this question.

The man was quite polite: "Storing grain illegally is a serious problem. Do you understand?"

Xiao Wei was so cold that she shivered from time to time and wanted to bite her tongue to commit suicide, but unfortunately, she couldn't do it in her current physical condition.

What's more, Shanzi said: Biting the tongue to commit suicide is pure nonsense, there is no scientific basis or successful examples.

The woman shouted sternly, "If you confess, you will be treated leniently. If you resist, you will be treated severely. Tell the truth and you will avoid being punished."

After a few minutes of silence, Xiao Wei's hair was roughly lifted up, and he was slapped twice on the face. A strong smell of blood spread in his mouth, followed by a sharp pain in the front bone of his calf. Naturally, he was kicked hard by the woman.

Xiao Wei clenched her teeth, trying hard not to make a sound.

Seeing that Xiao Wei was still as dead as ever, the woman threatened, "If you don't tell me, you'll die."

The man stood up and said, "She must have fainted from the cold. I'll go get her some blankets and pour her a cup of hot water."

The woman tried to stop him: "No need, I think she just wants to resist to the end. She secretly hoarded food and let the people starve. This kind of person is guilty of a heinous crime and deserves death."

The man was worried: "Let's be more humanitarian. If he really died, it would be hard to explain."

The woman sneered: "Then let her calm down first. I want to see how tough she is."

The confinement room soon returned to silence. Xiao Wei fainted again and again, and woke up in pain again and again.

It is reasonable, legal and normal for a landlord to divide up the land in the name of justice.

According to the law of conservation of energy, if Xiao Wei stored food, others would have less food, would go hungry, and would starve to death. Therefore, Xiao Wei was the culprit, had committed a heinous crime, and deserved to die.

There is nothing wrong with this logic.

Even though Xiao Wei had expected this outcome, he still felt disappointed. Most importantly, this experience of living a life worse than death was unbearable for Xiao Wei.

It was not until after eight o'clock in the morning that someone came in, opened the handcuffs, and brought a bowl of porridge.

Xiao Wei wanted to put the bowl on the visitor's face, but she couldn't lift her arms. As soon as she picked up the bowl, it fell to the ground, shaking.

Soon two or three more people came, wrapped Xiao Wei in a quilt, took her to another solitary confinement room with a bed, and covered her with another quilt.

The second bowl of hot porridge was also spilled.

After a moment, the woman interrogating her appeared, and her attitude changed 180 degrees: "You are not a big deal, just explain the problem clearly."

Seeing that Xiao Wei didn't move, he added: "We are just following the orders of our superiors. We don't have any personal grudges."

Xiao Wei didn't want to open his eyes and tried hard to gather his strength under the quilt.

The woman picked up the bowl of porridge and said, "Your hands and feet are numb and it's inconvenient. I'll feed you."

Xiao Wei saw the porridge bowl approaching through the slit of his eyes, and suddenly reached out and pushed the bowl towards the woman's face.

The woman screamed and scratched her face, but Xiao Wei had already grabbed the bowl and smashed it on her head, breaking it into pieces. He then jumped up, rode on the woman who fell to the ground, grabbed a piece of porcelain and stabbed it into her eyes.

He had just pulled out the pistol from her waist, but the woman twisted and kicked him aside. Just as he was about to get up, three men had already rushed over. Seeing the woman covering her bleeding face and rolling around, she screamed: "I was kind enough to feed her, she -"

Before the three men could react, Xiao Wei fired three shots in a row.

The three screamed and were shot down one after another before they could draw their guns to fight back. Another shot silenced the woman completely.

It turns out that no skill is practiced in vain. Xiao Wei couldn't wait to give a big thumbs up to his marksmanship.

Well, of course I don’t have time to praise myself now, I have to pretend to be in the scene.

He quickly grabbed the woman's uniform, wiped the gun, and placed the gun in the woman's hand.

When the man who was lying in the innermost position came in, he had already pulled out his pistol and turned off the safety. After Xiao Wei fired, he also fired randomly. With the gun still in his hand, Xiao Wei jumped over, held his hand with both hands, raised it up, and fired a shot at the head of his bed.

By the time someone fired a gun and approached, Xiao Wei had already crawled into bed, shivering.

Xiao Wei had already thought of this series of actions when the woman came in. Even though she knew that the criminal investigation technology was backward at that time and fingerprint verification was impossible to implement, she still hurriedly did it just in case.

After another series of screams, the blanket on her head was pulled away, and a police officer pointed a gun at Xiao Wei and asked, "What's going on?"

Xiao Wei was so frightened that her face turned pale and her teeth chattered: "She-she-wanted to kill me to silence me."

As he said this, he deliberately glanced at the bullet hole on the pillow that was still smoking.

When asked for more specific details, Xiao Wei seemed to be frightened. He just trembled and shook his head, and no longer released any information.

A few people whispered a few words, and then Xiao Wei was carried to another confinement room.

At noon, someone brought a bag of clothes and shoes. Seeing that they were his, Xiao Wei finally felt relieved.

It seems that I won’t die this time, so I’ll just eat and keep warm first.

After lunch, someone came and interrogated him for a few minutes. Xiao Wei knew nothing about anything and just shook his head in pain, so they had to give up.

After the interrogator left, Biyu finally came in, threw herself on the bed, hugged Xiaowei and cried.

Xiao Wei cursed quietly: "I'm not dead yet."

Biyu said: "Guixiu has also been isolated for investigation. I heard that the square-faced man has gone to the provincial capital and said he would redress your injustice. Thousands of students on campus have gone to the municipal party committee to denounce you."

Xiao Wei shook her head: "There is no problem with the procedure to catch me, there is no need to mobilize a large force."

Seeing Xiao Wei's cheeks swollen, Biyu asked angrily: "Did they insult you? Are there any other injuries?"

"It's just skin, I don't care."

Having said that, Xiao Wei's unconscious frown due to pain still made Biyu worried, so she insisted on checking it out.

Xiaowei's left calf was already swollen; it was obvious that the kick from the woman was not light.

Biyu gritted her teeth and asked, "Who did it?"

Xiao Wei answered the question in a low voice: "What I want to deal with most now are the four people who arrested me, the leader, and the leaders here. I want them to die miserably."

Xiao Wei did not mention the two people who interrogated her. After all, the man was dead and the account was settled.

Biyu nodded: "I'll go out and tell them."

Xiao Wei said fiercely: "I don't need anyone else, I want to kill those hooligans myself."

Biyu also gave an irrelevant answer: "They told you to rest and recover."

He rushed into the girl's room without any scruples, arrested her without even letting her put on clothes, and deliberately let her starve and freeze. He was completely inhumane.

Even if they were just following orders; even if Aunt Xiaowei was not a lady who cared about ordinary insults; even if such operations would become more serious, rampant and common in the future, Aunt Xiaowei could not bear it, even at the cost of her life.
