Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 357: Bad News, Quidditch Selection, Apology to Hagrid
On Sunday, the new Wizarding Daily was sent to the school, and the two major sections of the newspaper brought two major news to the students.
The mother of Hufflepuff prefect Hannah Abbott was killed by a Death Eater, and Aurors arrested a Death Eater, Stan Shunpike, in the Leaky Cauldron.
"Who is Stan Shunpike?" Ethan looked at the name in the newspaper and felt it was familiar but he couldn't remember it.
"The conductor of the Knight Bus, the guy who is a bit of a gossip." Aiden put down the newspaper and reminisced about the gossipy conductor for a while.
"Although, I don't know who you are talking about, but the other news is obviously what we should be more concerned about."
Edmund came over with a stack of parchment, looking like he was going crazy with all the homework.
"Hannah Abbott, how is she now?" Ethan asked.
"She applied for leave of absence from Dumbledore this morning, and she is probably back to deal with her mother's affairs now."
Aiden paused the coffee he was holding in the air and answered Ethan's question first.
"Alas, two people in our college were also taken home by their parents. The world is really chaotic." Ethan sighed.
"What about you? What does your mother think?" Edmund said.
"She? She thought that Dumbledore was the safest place in the world, so she let me stay in school.
According to her original words: Even if I was killed, you would be 100% fine. "
Ethan pouted his lips, crossed his eyes, and shook his head, imitating someone.
"Heh." Aiden shook his head.
"Oh, by the way, we are going to have Quidditch tryouts with Gryffindor later. Do you want to come and watch?" Ethan asked.
"What do you mean by coming? It's like you're the one hosting it." Aiden teased.
"That's him. He was named captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team this year."
Edmund pointed at Ethan, who gave him a proud smile.
"So, there's a reason why we haven't won since we started school." Aiden sighed.
"What, are you looking down on me? See you on the court!" Ethan felt a knife in the chest and decided to let his strength speak for itself.
Then, Aiden and Edmund arrived at the Quidditch field.
Coincidentally, the Gryffindor team bumped into them at the entrance. This year, due to the restoration of Harry's reputation, the number of applicants for the Gryffindor team had exploded.
Aiden even spotted two Ravenclaws in the crowd.
"Hey, Edmund, those two are Michael and Anthony, right?"
Aiden pointed at the two traitors in the Gryffindor selection team.
"Well, where is it? Let me see." Edmund raised the telescope in his hand and took a look. "It is indeed!"
Then he stood up and ran to Ethan, ready to give the two guys a taste of their own medicine.
Aiden sat alone in the stands, and the Gryffindor cheerleaders also climbed up. Ron's admirer Lavender blew him kisses crazily.
Ron glanced proudly at his two friends, then went up to the selection.
Hermione rolled her eyes and walked away from the Gryffindor crowd, just in time to see Aiden sitting nearby.
She sat directly next to Aiden with the book in her arms, a mixture of emotions wafting off her.
“A teaspoon of emotion seems to be very precious?” Aiden made a joke from last semester.
"What? How did you know?" Hermione was so surprised that she even forgot her sadness.
"No secret can escape my gaze," Aiden said without saying it.
"And if you like him, just confess boldly. A Gryffindor girl shouldn't be so courageous as to not have that much." Aiden raised his eyebrows.
"Humph, I'm not that cheap." Hermione picked up the book angrily and looked at Aiden, who suddenly came up with a plan.
"How about you and..."
"No way." Insight interrupted her dangerous thoughts.
"Just for a while. I'll write and tell Arthursie," Hermione requested.
"Even if you ask her to come in person, it won't work. It's a matter of principle." Aiden stretched out his finger and shook it.
"Aiden, please." Hermione clasped her hands together.
"Well, I can use my ability to make Ronnie think that you like me, and then during this period of time you just need to stay out of his sight as often as possible. Is that okay?" Aiden sighed.
"Okay, thanks." Hermione left contentedly.
Aiden looked at Ron on the field and observed a moment of silence for him.
The selection of Eagle Academy...or should we say allocation, because there is no choice at all.
Last autumn, Zhang left the team because of his best friend and his mother's affairs, resulting in a shortage of seekers in Eagle Academy.
This year, due to the graduation of two seventh-grade students, we are short of one chaser and one goalkeeper.
Ethan tried his best and brought Aiden as a banner to finally get everyone together.
"By the way, what did you promise them? How could you pick a few bookworms out of a bunch of them to play ball with you?"
Aiden looked at the smug Ethan and asked curiously.
"Secret." Ethan put his hands on his hips.
"Then I'll look for myself." The Insighter activated his ability and found the answer directly from the ocean of collective subconsciousness.
"Wow, my goodness, why do they want my class notes? Don't I post them on the bulletin board in the lounge every week?" Aiden was curious.
"They want the original version because they believe it will get the blessing of the god of test." Ethan lowered his head and didn't dare to look at Aiden.
"Ah, this..." Aiden was speechless for a moment, "This is quite wizard-like."
As promised, after influencing Ron, Aiden stood up and left the Quidditch pitch.
The selection work was completed, and Aiden went to visit Hagrid with gifts. After all, it was very important to always maintain the relationship with the master of magical animals.
He entered Hagrid's house carrying the fine cherry wine that Arthursie had brought back from abroad.
The two were just about to open it to try it when they ran into Hermione and her two older children going to apologize to Hagrid.
Hagrid's hut was still full of pumpkins as usual, and Buckbeak was basking in the sun in the field.
Harry walked over and touched Buckbeak with a bit of sadness.
Then he mustered up the courage to knock on Hagrid's door.
Hagrid pushed the door open, saw Harry and the other two, and closed the door angrily.
Harry and Hagrid then put on a great show for Aiden.
"Open the door! Hagrid." Harry knocked on the door again. "Open it quickly, or I'll blow it open!"
"Wow, how dare a little wizard like you blow up my door? I'm a professor." Hagrid's voice came from the house.
"Why can't I? Ron and Hermione, you guys step back!" Harry pushed his left and right back and took out his wand.
"You can't blow up my door, Potter!" Hagrid snapped.
"I'm sorry, sir." Harry changed tack.
"Huh? Why did you call me sir?" Hagrid asked puzzled.
"Then why did you call me Potter?" Harry asked back.
"Huh, you're really humorous. Come in, you ungrateful little bastards." Hagrid opened the door.
The first thing the three of them saw when they walked into the cabin was a pair of sharp horns. "Aiden?"
"Hey, good joke, Harry." Aiden waved at him.
