Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 358 Hagrid's Sadness, Draco in Action

"What are you doing here?" Ron nudged Aiden with his hand.

"I heard Hagrid was in a bad mood, so I came to see him with some wine. You should try it."

Aiden pointed to the cherry wine on the table. The red color of the wine reflected a charming glow under the light.

And Hagrid beside them also brought them a large plate of rock cakes.

"Okay, let me start!" Hermione saw the two older children shrinking away.

"Hagrid, we're sorry for not choosing your course, and sorry for ignoring you lately!"

Hermione apologized to Hagrid, and Harry and Ron agreed with Hermione.

The three of them first praised how good Hagrid's course was, and then belittled Professor Grubbly-Plank.

The simple-minded Hagrid was coaxed into submission in no time.

"Okay, I know you guys are too busy with your sixth grade classes to come. By the way, do you want to try the wine Aiden brought?"

Hagrid got out cups for them and poured some for each of them without saying a word.

Seeing this, the three did not refuse, but instead turned their eyes to Aiden who was eating the rock cake.

Seeing how happy he was eating, Ron thought that Hagrid's rock cake had been improved.

I picked one up and tried it, but nearly knocked out my tooth.

Seeing this, the other two stopped their hands that were reaching for the rock cake in mid-air and took them back in a disguised manner.

After three rounds of drinking, all four of them were a little tipsy.

"Okay, Hagrid, tell them the real reason why you've been sad lately."

Aiden asked Hagrid. Although he already knew the reason, he needed Hagrid to reveal it to Harry and the others in person.

Under the influence of the high concentration of alcohol, Hagrid had long lost control and was sobbing on the table.

"It's Aragog. He was severely burned by some unknown creature four years ago. I have done my best. Now his injuries are getting worse. He may be dying soon."

Harry and Ron froze when they heard this, and the memories of the dead began to attack them.

"Hagrid, I have to say something to you. Do you know how much damage raising giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest has brought to the ecology of the entire forest?

And you are also a researcher of magical animals, so I don't need to tell you the harm of allowing giant spiders to expand like this."

Aiden pointed at the woods outside the window with the hand holding the wine, without any guilt at all for being the culprit.

Harry and Ron were amazed at Aiden's ability to point out other people's mistakes without batting an eyelid even though it was clearly me who did it.

"I'm sorry, but that's the descendant of Aragog. I just can't help it sometimes."

Hagrid huddled up into a ball and squirmed a few times, looking like a large stuffed toy.

“Because of your rescue, some spiders that should have been eliminated from the forest survived and reproduced in large numbers.

I've recently received reports from centaurs of spiders trying to kill unicorns."

Listening to Aiden's words, Harry turned his head in confusion, "Centaurs?"

"For some reason, I made a deal with the centaurs to help us in our fight against Voldemort.

This matter is only known to us, don’t tell anyone else.” Aiden emphasized.

Harry looked at Hagrid worriedly, but found that he had fallen asleep on the table.

"Okay, we'll keep it a secret."

Harry nodded, and seeing that his goal had been achieved, Aiden nodded in satisfaction.

"Well, seeing as Hagrid seems to be in a much better mood, I'll be heading back now."

Aiden picked up the hat on the table, opened the door and left.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at Hagrid who was sleeping on the table and looked at each other in confusion.

"What about Hagrid?" asked Ron.

"Carry him to the bed," Harry suggested.

The three of them barely managed to get Hagrid onto the bed and returned to Gryffindor while denouncing Aiden.

On the way back they met Horace.

"Oh, look who this is, it's our Potions Prince." Horace saw a few people and came up to talk to Harry.

"Good afternoon, Professor." Harry responded politely.

"Today is a rare day. I wonder if I have the honor to invite you to our party tonight." Horace extended an olive branch to Harry.

"I'm sorry Professor, I have to attend Professor Snape's detention tonight." Harry declined.

"Oh, I'll go back and try to talk to Severus, hoping he can give up his confinement on you." Horace went further.

"Okay, then I'll be waiting for your good news." Harry responded.

The meeting between the two in front of the castle was just a small episode. Horace did go to Snape to plead for mercy afterwards, but, that was Snape.

Obviously, Professor Horace's olive branch and invitation were crushed by St. Petersburg.

On the other side, Draco, who was already accustomed to his personal terminal, received his first task.

'Come to the west tower.'

A line of small words appeared in the corner of Draco's eyes, which made Draco, who was in class, feel as if he was being forced to do something he shouldn't do.

After asking for leave from Professor Flitwick, Draco groped his way to the west tower.

This scene happened to be seen by Harry and the other two who had just said goodbye to Horace.

Harry's eyes widened immediately when he noticed Draco, who was extremely curious.

He simply left his two friends behind and followed them.

However, Harry's tracking skills were slightly affected after he lost the help of the invisibility cloak.

Draco deliberately led him into a very long corridor and turned back at the corner, running head-on into the three people who had nowhere to hide.

"It seems that the sixth year studies in Gryffindor are too easy, so you have the leisure to follow others, right, you nosy bitch!"

Draco was still unforgiving in his words when faced with a force three times his size.

Ron immediately wanted to take out his wand and give him a hard blow, but was stopped by Hermione.

"We just happened to pass by here. Why do you think we are following you? Could it be that you have joined some dangerous organization? Do you have something to hide?"

Harry fought back decisively, and Draco's right hand trembled slightly when he heard his words.

Unfortunately, this subtle body language was not read by Harry and the other two.

"It has nothing to do with you. Also, if you follow me again, I don't mind taking you to visit our dean."

Draco made a vicious threat and turned away.

In the west tower, Aiden was sitting on the top stairs when Draco hurriedly opened the door and walked in.

"What are you going to do!" Draco glared at Aiden, but unfortunately it had no deterrent effect.

“Plans, my friend, I like plans, successful plans, failed plans, plans in progress, and plans in the making.

The more calculating we are, the more likely we are to fail in small matters, so…"

Aiden recited his lines to himself.

"So you're going to give up being a human being," the system complained.

"Ha, that's a good catch," Aiden praised in his mind.
