Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 418: Homeless people worried about food and clothing, confused about the future

While Harry's godfather and new friends were living happy days, Harry and his two friends were obviously not having such a good time.

Although the expansion spell and the replication spell allow them to collect food from the wild to sustain their survival, there is no way to guarantee the taste.

This made Ron, who had been carefully nurtured by Madam Molly since childhood, a little dissatisfied. At the same time, the Horcrux circulated among the three people, and the chaotic aura on it was slowly released, nourishing the darkness deep in their hearts bit by bit.

Lunch was wild mushrooms Hermione picked from the woods and cooked in a tin can. Ron took a bite and pushed it away, looking like he wanted to vomit, while Harry, in order not to embarrass Hermione, reluctantly finished the plain mushroom soup in front of him.

After dinner, Hermione went to the stream to wash the dishes. Suddenly, there was a space fluctuation and several Death Eaters passed by with two Muggles in their arms.

Hermione was startled by the sudden appearance of the person, but she didn't dare to move or make any sound. The protective spell she had cast before was still protecting her well.

A Death Eater walked past Hermione, and then he turned back as if he smelled something, with a thin layer of protective spell on the tip of his nose about to touch Hermione.

But suddenly, his pupils changed, instantly filling up with amber and dark blue, and at the same time, a small line of letters appeared in his eyeballs: "one"

Hermione opened her eyes wide, the familiar heterochromatic pupils let her know that someone was passing a message to her through this Death Eater.

"What are you doing!" The Death Eater next to him impatiently dropped the Muggle in his hand.

"Nothing, I just suddenly miss my hometown." The Death Eater in front of them waved and walked towards them.

"Is it the search team?" Harry's voice suddenly appeared. Hermione turned around like a frightened bird, and then hit him hard.

"Oh, what's wrong with me?" Harry covered his chest in confusion.

"No, he was sent by Aiden to deliver a message. What does that one mean?" Hermione told Harry that she saw heterochromatic eyes and the number one in the Death Eater's pupils.

"First, could it be related to the Deep Realm?" Harry secretly guessed in his heart. After all, the only thing that could make Aiden go to so much trouble to remind them was the Deep Realm.

"By the way, Ron's wound hasn't healed yet, and his tolerance to Apparition is too low." Hermione's voice interrupted Harry's thoughts.

"Then let's just walk for now." Harry walked towards the tent.

Ron, who had lifted the door curtain, saw Hermione and Harry walking together and discussing something. At this moment, his face was pale, his lips were dry, and the dark circles under his eyes were very thick. The combination of various factors made Ron feel as if he was being burned by flames.

The next day, the three of them walked to the outskirts of a town. Harry put on his invisibility cloak and wanted to enter the town to get some food.

But after entering the town, Harry found that the sky was full of Dementors. He raised his wand and wanted to cast the Patronus Charm, but he couldn't use it and was almost discovered by the Dementors.

In the end, Harry could only flee from the town in a hurry and sat on the ground dejectedly.

"So we still have nothing to eat!" Ron was a little annoyed and kicked the leg of the chair.

"I'm starving to death. From the time I nearly bled to death, all I've eaten is a few pieces of poisonous mushrooms."

Harry felt even more ashamed and a little irritated when he heard this. "Then you go deal with the Dementors."

"Alright!" Hermione pressed the two of them down, "The gem has been with you for more than twelve hours, take it off now!"

Only then did Harry realize that he had been wearing the Horcrux for almost half a day without realizing it. No wonder he couldn't cast the Patronus Charm at all.

He tore off the pendant from his neck, and as expected, a huge burden was lifted off his shoulders, and his dry soul was moistened like drizzle.

Then, the three of them walked to a farm in the suburbs, put some money there, and took some bread, milk, and eggs. They finally had a full meal, which helped dissipate some of the dark clouds that had been hanging over their heads for days.

The brief moment of fullness did not last long, and the three people who continued on their journey soon returned to the state of having no food to eat next time.

Hunger made Ron lose his mind and become irritable and angry.

"Where to go next?" has become Ron's most common catchphrase in the past three days.

He seemed to have no ideas of his own, relying entirely on Harry and Hermione to come up with a plan, and was also unhappy about the lack of food.

The only Horcrux they found was the information provided by Aiden, and the future was unknown.

Thus Hermione and Harry would often have long discussions about where to find a Horcrux, or how to destroy the one they already had, but as new information became available their conversations became increasingly monotonous.

'The Deputy Minister of Magic, Severus Snape, becomes the new Headmaster of Hogwarts and announces that all students must abide by the new rules or they will be severely punished.' The hoarse voice on the radio announced the news.

"Oh, come on," sneered Ron, "His school."

..... "We're talking about the You-Know-Who, right? Not you?" Ron fiddled with the gem on his neck, and when Harry heard what he said, he almost rushed over and strangled him to death.

Ron yawned. Harry resisted the urge to throw something at Ron and turned the subject back to the hiding place of the Horcruxes.

"I still think she might be hiding something at Hogwarts."

"But Dumbledore was at Hogwarts before. How could the You-Know-Who have the guts to hide something under Dumbledore's nose?" Hermione disagreed with Harry's idea.

"I think he might have hidden the Horcrux in Albania or Borgin and Burke's shop." Hermione offered her opinion as she looked at the burning fire.

"It's unlikely. Horcruxes need to be well preserved, so it's unlikely that he would hide them in the forest. Borgin and Burke are dark wizards who can identify Horcruxes, so it's impossible for the You-Know-Who to give him such a precious thing for safekeeping." Harry also rejected it. At the same time, in order to take Ron's feelings into consideration, he even stopped calling Tom by his name.

Ron sarcastically rejected it again, and then the tent fell into silence.

On the third day, they finally walked out of the suburbs and arrived at the edge of London.

"Where are we going?" Ron asked again.

"Let's go to the Wu Orphanage. The mysterious man is a very nostalgic person. We must explore all the places that are important to him." Harry took the lead.

But when the three of them stood in front of the Wu's Orphanage, they froze in place. What appeared in front of them was a towering building. After asking, they learned that the previous orphanage had been demolished and the staff had been sent to other orphanages.

The search was fruitless, so the three could only continue wandering. They Apparated to different places every night, erased all traces in the morning, and then looked for the next settlement.
