Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 419: Accumulation of contradictions, new news
The three began to take turns wearing the Horcruxes during their wanderings, switching them approximately every twelve hours, as if they were playing an evil, slow-motion game of pass the parcel.
Everyone dreaded the moment the drums stopped because the punishment was twelve hours of even more intense fear and anxiety.
Every time Harry wore it, the scar would hurt violently, and the pain would be reflected in his flesh and expression.
Whenever he saw Harry frowning in pain, Ron would rush over excitedly and ask, "What did you see?"
"That thief, the thief from Gregorovitch's house." Harry frowned and gave the same answer.
Ron turned away, not hiding his disappointment; what he wanted to hear was news about his family.
Harry knew what Ron wanted, and he also hoped to find some traces of the Order of the Phoenix members, but Harry was not an antenna and could not change channels like a TV.
He was sure that Voldemort knew no more information than he did. In the days that followed, Harry's scar continued to hurt, and the happy blond boy kept appearing in his mind.
But Harry also learned how to hide the pain of his scar. After all, his two friends would only show impatience when they saw Harry mention the thief.
But Harry understood it all. After all, he knew that everyone was eager to find the whereabouts of the Horcrux.
As the days went by, the conflicts grew deeper and deeper, until Harry began to become suspicious, because he found that Ron and Hermione stopped discussing several times when he walked into the tent, which made him think that Ron and Hermione were doubting his leadership ability.
Harry racked his brains, but could only guess that if he wanted to find the Horcruxes, he had to go to Hogwarts, but this proposal was repeatedly rejected by his two good friends.
Just like that, the chill of late autumn began to envelop England, and the wandering life of the three people became even more difficult.
One night, the three of them were eating charred grilled fish by the river, and the gem on Ron's neck flashed a black light again.
"My mother." Ron, who was leaning against the tent, said, "She can conjure delicious food out of thin air."
Harry subconsciously looked at Ron's neck and saw the gem that was emitting a faint glow. He suppressed the urge to scold Ron.
After all, after Ron takes off the gem, he will return to normal.
"Your mother couldn't do that," said Hermione. "No one can create something out of nothing. That's the first of the five exceptions to Pugan's Law of Transfiguration."
"Oh, speak in plain language, please?" said Ron, picking a fishbone from between his teeth.
"You can't see something created out of thin air unless you know where it is and summon it over, or you already have some food to make it more." Hermione explained.
"Oh, there's no need to make more. This tastes terrible." Ron complained.
Hermione was so angry at Ron's words that she stood up with force, and several pieces of grilled fish fell to the ground from her tin plate.
"Harry caught the fish and I cooked it. I found that I always had to prepare the food in the end, probably because I'm a girl."
Ron was very unhappy with Hermione's gentle but sharp sarcasm, so he retorted, "Isn't it because you are the best at magic among us?"
"You cook tomorrow, Ron. You can go find the ingredients and figure out how to turn them into something edible. I'll sit here with a long face and complain. You can see that you..."
Before Hermione could finish her words, she was interrupted by Harry. "Stop, stop now!"
Hermione thought Harry was standing on Ron's side and accusing her, but unexpectedly Harry stepped forward and covered her mouth.
At this time, there was a noise outside the tent, as if two similar wanderers met outside.
"Who are you!" Harry heard a familiar voice, it was his roommate Dean.
"Ted Tonks, who fled here because he refused to register as a Muggle. What about you?" A more mature voice was the first to reveal his identity.
"Dean Thomas, because his father died early, he cannot prove his bloodline." Dean sighed.
"I was reported by Albert and escaped on the way to Azkaban." Hearing this man's story, Harry recalled the man he played when he sneaked into the Ministry of Magic.
"Griphook, the goblin.", "Greek, Gornuk."
The two goblins also spoke, and several people built a fire outside Harry and his friends' tent, apparently preparing to spend the cold autumn night in England here.
They shared some food and chatted.
"Damn Prewett, if it weren't for them, how could we goblins have fallen into our current situation." Griphook took a bite of black bread and cursed fiercely.
"That boy from Ravenclaw, I heard Ginny talk about him, did he do anything?" Dean asked curiously.
"Five years ago, because Prewett took the lead in declaring war on the goblins in the financial field, we were forced to allow a large number of wizards to intervene in the operation of Gringotts. Now the mysterious man is using his position as a regulator to force us goblins to surrender." Seeing that Griphook was silent, Gonuk explained.
"Letting our great goblins become house-elves? No way." Griphook said very toughly, and then showed a smug smile to the wizards present.
"Also, a Hogwarts student tried to steal the Sword of Gryffindor from the headmaster's office before. The new headmaster later stored the sword in Gringotts. I saw that the sword was a fake, but I didn't tell the Death Eaters."
Griphook proudly recounted his revenge on the Death Eaters in a harsh voice, while secretly praying that someone could use the sword to pierce Voldemort's heart.
"It was done by Gryffindor students, right? Do you know what happened to them?" Dean asked the question that concerned the three people in the tent the most.
"How should I know? I'm not an employee of Hogwarts." Griphook spread his hands.
"However, perhaps they have already been severely punished by Severus Snape." Griphook gave him a slightly malicious smile as if he remembered something.
The three people in the tent became anxious after hearing Griphook's reply, so Hermione took out the portrait she brought from the Black family from her bag.
"Principal Phineas!" Hermione called.
"Well, who's looking for me?" A figure suddenly entered the portrait. After seeing the faces of Harry and the other two clearly, he snorted coldly.
"So it's you three exiled kids. Tell me, what's the matter?"
"We heard that the Gryffindor students were punished for trying to steal the sword. How are they doing?" Harry asked as a representative.
"Dead." Phineas Black, a scum who always made jokes regardless of the situation.
Ron's eyes immediately turned red, and he picked up his wand and prepared to rush out of the tent.
"Oh, I'm kidding. They're fine. They were just punished by Severus to help Hagrid at the edge of the Forbidden Forest." Phineas quickly stopped them.
"No wonder you are known as the most unpopular headmaster." Hermione closed the portrait coldly. Although the drawing paper was still making a humming sound, the three of them tacitly ignored it.
