Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 237 Harry’s Troubles

Looking at Malfoy leaving with high morale, Harry couldn't help but grin.

Malfoy is still so straightforward.

Troubles come and go quickly.

so good!

If only his problem were as simple as Malfoy's.

Just as Harry was lost in thought, Sebastian turned his gaze to him.

"Harry, what about you? I can sense that you are in a very mixed mood. You seem to be unusually troubled."

Harry took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down: "Today on the Hogwarts Express, I was attacked by a Dementor..."

"I know. We received the message from Lupin," Sebastian said gently. "Dumbledore was furious. He sent a Howler to Minister of Magic Fudge right away."

"I heard that you were the only one who stood up against the Dementors at that time. I have to say you were very brave."

Harry scratched his head sheepishly at the professor's compliment.

"I sensed an extreme danger at the time and remembered what I learned in the Auror training class: to strike first is the best way to gain the upper hand."

"It's just that my spells had no effect on the Dementors. Even more embarrassingly, I passed out."

"Don't blame yourself. Faced with unknown dangers and unable to avoid them, you responded very decisively," Sebastian affirmed.

"It's just that Dementors are a very special kind of creature. Ordinary spells have no effect on them. Once you learn how to deal with them, everything will become much simpler."

That's it!

Harry nodded, feeling much better.

He hesitated, his voice becoming low and nervous.

"Professor, I don't understand why I was the only one who fainted when facing the Dementors?"

"Also, I heard a woman's voice screaming when I fainted."

"I asked Hermione and the others, and found out that I was the only one who heard the scream, as if I was hallucinating."

"But that scream was extremely real, and..." Harry paused, "I felt that voice was very familiar."

Harry's breathing quickened slightly.

He didn't know why, but every time he recalled this voice, his heart would feel tight.

He looked at Sebastian nervously, expecting him to help him analyze it.

Sebastian's eyes fell on Harry. He thought for a moment and spoke carefully.

"Harry, Dementors are dark creatures. They have no eyes, but they can keenly sense our emotions."

"Their bodies are like a tattered cloak, almost without substance, as if they were just an empty shell."

"The most terrifying thing is their mouth - hidden under their cloak, that is the organ they use to suck souls."

Soul-sucking?!

Harry listened intently, and when he thought of the Dementors he encountered on the train, he felt uncomfortable.

"They are a cold, frightening presence."

"When Dementors approach, the air around them becomes bitterly cold, as if they have taken away all warmth and happiness."

“You feel hopeless, like there’s nothing left in the world to look forward to.”

"That's because normally Dementors feed on the hope, joy and happiness of others, leaving behind depression and despair."

Harry involuntarily tightened his grip on the armrests of the chair, the memory of the cold and suffocating feeling resurfacing, and he couldn't help shivering.

"You fainted after encountering the Dementors," Sebastian said slowly, his eyes becoming more profound, "That's because you are particularly sensitive to them."

Particularly sensitive?

Why is this happening?

Harry looked at Sebastian, confusion evident in his eyes.

Sebastian sighed softly, with a look of sympathy in his eyes.

"Dementors particularly like to prey on those who have experienced great pain and trauma."

"The happiness of these people is the ultimate delicacy for them."

"And you, Harry…you lost your parents at a young age and watched them being murdered by Voldemort. The pain and trauma you carry within you runs deeper than many."

"For these reasons," Sebastian went on to explain, "Dementors are strongly attracted to you."

"Not only do they sense your pain, they can also bring back painful memories and make you relive your darkest moments."

"Your soul was strongly stimulated, and you fainted under the self-protection mechanism of your body."

Harry's chest suddenly tightened, as if being grabbed by some invisible force.

He closed his eyes, and vaguely imagined a green light, a scream, and a woman's cry.

"Let me relive my darkest moments..." Harry whispered, a tremor in his voice.

"So, the woman who screamed was my mother?"

Sebastian nodded slightly, "Yes, Harry."

"That is the deepest trauma in your heart - your mother died that night to protect you, and her screams are deeply engraved in your memory and soul."

Hearing Sebastian's affirmation, Harry felt a pain in his heart and fell into deep sadness.

As expected, my guess was correct, that was my mother's voice.

No wonder I felt so familiar with that voice.

No wonder there was a strong sense of pleading in that voice.

Was that the mother begging Voldemort to spare her life?

Heart hurts!

I never want to hear my mother's dying screams again.

After a moment's silence, Harry raised his head again and looked at Sebastian with a firm gaze.

"Professor, I never want to faint from seeing a Dementor again."

"So, can you teach me how to ward off Dementors? Just like Professor Lupin warded off the Dementors on the train?"

Sebastian nodded. "That is the only spell that can resist Dementors. It is a very advanced spell - the Patronus Charm."

"This magic is extremely complex, so complex that many experienced wizards have difficulty using it."

Advanced spells?

Very difficult?

Harry opened his mouth, about to say that he was not afraid of any difficulties, when he heard Sebastian continue.

"In view of the special circumstances this year, I think it is necessary to let all students learn the Patronus Charm in the Duel Club."

“It’s a tough learning curve, but I’ve developed special teaching skills.”

"I am confident that most students will be able to master the Patronus Charm, so that no one will have to worry about encountering Dementors outside the school."

"Patronus Charm..." Harry repeated the name of the spell silently.

It seems that I can look up some relevant information before training in the Duel Club.

No matter what, I must master this spell as soon as possible.

Looking at Harry who was worried, Sebastian took out a bottle of dreamless sleeping potion, took out a drop and added it to the Coke in front of Harry.

"Harry, you've been through a lot today. You need to clear your mind and have a good rest."

"Drink two sips of Coke and go back to sleep."

"Good night~~"
