Hogwarts: I am the White Lord
Chapter 238: Prophecy Master Ron
The Hogwarts Great Hall was as bustling as usual at noon. Harry, Hermione and Ron sat at a long table, enjoying a steaming hot lunch.
Hermione flipped through the Care of Magical Creatures textbook, taking a bite of the food on her plate from time to time.
Harry poked idly at the steak on his plate with his fork.
Ron poked the potatoes on his plate with his fork and began to describe his Divination class to Harry and Hermione with a somewhat exaggerated expression.
"The divination classroom is on top of the tower. You have to climb up a steep staircase. To be honest, that staircase made me dizzy."
"Once you enter, it's like you've stepped into another world. The curtains are drawn tightly, the whole classroom is dim, the lights are very weak, it feels like it's not a classroom, but a mixture of a loft and an old-fashioned teahouse."
“The classroom smelled like spices — kind of like grandma’s incense, but a little more choking.”
Neither Harry nor Hermione signed up for the Divination class, so listening to Ron's talk now was very interesting.
"There were all kinds of strange curtains hanging on the walls, some with stars and moons painted on them, and some very strange symbols."
Ron continued, "What's exaggerated is that the temperature in the classroom is always so high that it makes people dizzy. I suspect that Professor Trelawney may be cultivating our future heat tolerance."
"Harry, Hermione," Ron narrowed his eyes and raised a mysterious smile, "I just learned something quite remarkable in Divination class. Would you like me to predict your future?"
Harry raised an eyebrow, clearly not quite convinced by Ron's "amazing skills".
Hermione rolled her eyes without disguising herself: "According to my understanding, divination requires opening the third eye. Have you opened your third eye? Then tell us the future."
"By the way, Professor McGonagall said that every year Professor Trelawney predicts the departure of students. Who did she predict this year?"
Ron recalled and said, "It seems that there was no prediction of who would leave, but she told Parvati to be wary of a red-haired man."
"Then Parvati stayed away from me as if I had a plague."
He pretended to be mysterious and approached Harry and Hermione, and lowered his voice and said, "I think I have a talent for divination. Do you really not want me to help you with divination?"
Harry almost spit out the steak in his mouth. He suppressed his laughter and said seriously: "Oh, then tell me a fortune, great prophet."
"Do as I say, Harry," Ron's face suddenly became serious, "Get a teacup and fill it with tea."
"Then drink the tea until only the tea leaves are left."
Hearing this strange request, Harry shook his head and cooperated.
"Okay, there are only tea leaves left," Ron glanced at Harry's teacup and continued, "Hold the cup in your left hand and shake it three times, then turn the cup upside down on the tray to drain the water."
After Harry did as he was told, Ron took the teacup and began to analyze the contents of the textbook seriously.
"Well, that looks like a bowler hat. You'll probably end up working for the Ministry of Magic."
"That's right, Ron. We all know that Harry wants to be an Auror the most." Hermione smiled gently.
Ron waved his hand dismissively, "Hermione, you just lack imagination! That's what Divination does."
He continued to turn the cup, observing the appearance of the tea leaves: "This looks like an animal, like an eagle. According to the book, you have a mortal enemy."
Harry blinked and deliberately cooperated: "Thank you Ron, I think I know who my enemy is."
Hermione chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Oh, that's a unique explanation. Maybe I should go tell Professor Trelawney. She should consider you as a genius apprentice."
"Oh..." Ron covered his face and sighed in pretended helplessness, "Don't disbelieve it, Professor Trelawney even praised me."
As he said this, he couldn't help laughing. "I found that what Fred and the others said was right. As long as I predict some tragic results, I will always get praise from Professor Trelawney."
"If this was in class, I should have interpreted it this way."
Ron imitated Trelawney's tone and expression and said exaggeratedly: "Oh my God...I saw an ominous omen in your cup. It is a bad omen, a bad omen of death."
Watching Ron's performance, Harry smiled happily and said, "I have a feeling that you will pass this course with high marks."
Looking at the two people playing around, Hermione shook her head with a smile on her face: "Stop playing around and eat quickly. After dinner we still have to go to Hagrid's class."
After lunch, they walked down the grassy slope and arrived at the door of Hagrid's hut.
The students gradually arrived. Hagrid called the roll and led the students along the edge of the Forbidden Forest. He didn't stop until he came to a big tree and turned around to face the students.
He cleared his throat and said according to the lesson plan he had prepared: "This is the home of the Bowtruckle."
"Can anyone tell me what the characteristics of the Bowtruckle are?"
Hermione raised her hand high, and after getting a signal from Hagrid, she said, "A Bowtruckle is a thin, green, XX-level magical animal that looks like a branch."
"They are gentle by nature and have a natural protectiveness towards trees. Generally speaking, the trees they live in are good wand materials."
"If you want to win the favor of these magical animals, or if you want to get wood from the trees they guard, it's best to give them some woodlice or fairy eggs."
"Excellent!" Hagrid clapped. "That was perfectly said, Hermione."
"I almost forgot, ten points for Gryffindor."
"In addition to the above characteristics, Bowtruckle has another little-known feature," Hagrid added.
"Bowtruckles can open locks, which is a life-saving skill in an emergency. Therefore, in the wizarding world, there have always been wizards who like to keep Bowtruckles as pets."
Hagrid went on to add some information about the little creatures' habitats and their preferences for wand wood, which the students listened to with great interest.
After the explanation, he took out a bag of beetles and put them on the ground: "Students who want to get close to the bowtruckles, take these beetles and feed them. They will like you."
Following Hagrid's explanation, the students quickly became familiar with the Bowtruckles. Everyone was amused by these cute little creatures and laughed out loud. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy.
Looking at the students' reactions, Hagrid was completely relieved.
Harry and the other two quietly walked up to him, smiled and congratulated him, "Hagrid, this class was great. Everyone loved Bowtruckle."
A bright smile suddenly appeared on Hagrid's face, and his face was flushed, looking a little embarrassed.
"Oh, thank you all three. This is my first time as a professor, and I was a little nervous. Everyone likes my class, and I have to thank Mr. Scamander for helping me revise the lesson plan."
"By the way, Harry," Hagrid said, lowering his voice, "remember that Hippogriff I told you about during the summer vacation?"
"If you three are interested, I can take you to meet him after class."
"You know," Hagrid said, spreading his arms, "that one's much cuter than the Bowtruckle."
cute?
Looking at the size that Hagrid was gesturing, Harry and the other two looked at each other in confusion.
Thinking of Hagrid's special interest in magical creatures, they couldn't help but swallow secretly and change the subject.
"Hagrid, although Bowtruckle is gentle, it is still a little dangerous."
"As a professor, please pay attention to everyone's safety."
"We went to play with the Bowtruckle."
