Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 239: Let me protect the image of Professor Snape!

On Thursday afternoon, Harry and the other two arrived at the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom early.

Lupin sat behind the podium, with an old wardrobe shaking constantly beside him.

Harry smiled and took the initiative to greet him, "Professor Lupin, are you still adapting to the teaching life at Hogwarts?"

Lupin had a gentle smile on his face and said to Harry, "To be honest, it's a little more tiring than I thought."

"When I was a student, I only had to take one large class a week for the same course. After becoming a professor, I realized that it is really not easy to have 12 large classes a week."

"Now that I think about it, I was really ignorant before. Professor McGonagall was so tired, but we always caused trouble for her."

Hermione asked, "Professor, why are all the tables and chairs in the classroom put away? How are we going to have class today?"

"Oh, today's class is a practical class on how to deal with dark creatures. As for the specific content, let me keep you in suspense for a while."

While they were chatting, more and more students came into the class. Seeing this, Harry and the other two stood aside, waiting for the bell to ring.

"Today, we are going to learn about a very interesting dark creature," Lupin said, standing in front of the podium. "Everyone, put away your textbooks and get your wands ready."

Dark creatures?

In that shaking cabinet?

The young wizards took out their wands and looked at Lupin excitedly.

This is a practical class, which is much more interesting than simply learning knowledge from textbooks.

He looked around the classroom and said slowly, "There's a Boggart in the old closet."

He walked towards the old closet and tapped the door gently. "This creature likes dark and enclosed spaces, such as old closets, cupboards under sinks, etc."

"So, who can tell me what a Boggart looks like?"

Hermione immediately raised her hand and said, "No one knows what a Boggart looks like, Professor. It's a shape-shifting creature that always turns into something people fear."

"Well said," praised Lupin, "Now no one can know what a Boggart is like when he's alone."

"Professor, I have a question." Harry raised his hand high.

"Now that a magic camera has been invented, can we put the camera in the cabinet and observe what the Boggart looks like when it is alone?"

Hearing this, the students were extremely shocked and began to whisper to each other, discussing the feasibility of this method.

Ron nudged Harry with his elbow. "Harry, you have a very creative mind. How did you come up with this idea?"

"To be honest, I can't tell whether the camera can capture a Boggart alone," Lupin frowned slightly. "Harry, that's a good idea."

"Alchemy changes lives. We can do some experiments later and maybe we can really solve this eternal mystery."

"Now let's get back to the topic of Boggarts." Lupin raised his voice a little, attracting the little wizard's attention again.

"When dealing with a Boggart, it's best to go with a group of people, so that the Boggart won't be able to tell what it should become."

Lupin continued to explain in a calm voice: "Also, the Boggart's power comes from fear, but fortunately, it also has a weakness - laughter."

"To deal with a Boggart, we need to make it laughable. Faced with laughter, its power will be broken."

"The mantra we're going to use is 'funny funny' and it needs to be enunciated clearly."

After the students repeated it twice, Lupin pointed to the cabinet.

"In a moment, I will let the Boggart come out, and each of you will have a chance to face it, but don't be afraid. The key is to use your imagination and turn it into something you can laugh at."

After saying that, Lupin waved his wand and the lock of the cabinet fell.

He motioned for the first student to come forward. "Well, Neville, why not start with you?"

Neville's face turned pale instantly, and under Lupin's encouraging gaze, he walked tremblingly to the center of the classroom.

Lupin patted Neville's shoulder gently and said gently: "Neville, what are you most afraid of?"

Neville lowered his head and said in an almost inaudible voice: "Professor Snape."

Hearing this, the students burst into laughter.

Harry laughed too, he understood why Neville was afraid of Professor Snape.

In Potions class, Neville had always been in a team with Seamus. The combined power of the Little Prince of Explosion and the Master of Oblivion was incredible, and they would often cause accidents that would affect the entire class.

Every time this happened, Professor Snape's face became extremely dark. Later, he simply stood behind the two of them and personally supervised them in brewing the potion.

After a long time, it's no surprise that Neville is most afraid of Professor Snape.

"Well..." Lupin said with a smile, "You might as well imagine Professor Snape wearing your grandmother's clothes. Isn't that much more fun?"

Hearing this, the students burst into laughter.

Harry didn't laugh; he felt very uncomfortable.

Professor Snape was one of the professors he respected the most, and it was inappropriate to have the Boggart turn into Professor Snape wearing women's clothes.

If he did this, Harry guaranteed that Professor Snape would become the laughing stock of his classmates for the next two weeks.

He will never allow this to happen!

Seeing Neville already standing trembling in front of the closet door, Harry quickly shouted: "Neville, I have a better idea."

"You can imagine Professor Snape praising you all the time."

At this moment, the door of the cabinet opened, and a blurry black shadow immediately jumped out, twisting into the appearance of Professor Snape, with a gloomy face, staring at Neville coldly.

Neville gasped and yelled, "Funny!"

A wonderful thing happened. Professor Snape's face showed a brilliant smile that no one had ever seen before, and he danced with joy and praised Neville.

"Well done, Longbottom, you are the smartest student I have ever met, ten points for Gryffindor."

The students burst into laughter. They had never seen Professor Snape with such expressive facial expressions.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

Great, Neville took his own advice.

As long as it's not Professor Snape in women's clothing.

Otherwise, Neville would definitely be targeted by Professor Snape.

Professor Lupin is such a fool. How could he make fun of Professor Snape?

"Very good, Neville!" Lupin smiled with satisfaction, as if he didn't take this little episode to heart at all.

"Everyone line up and come one by one."

With Lupin's encouragement, the students came before the Boggart one by one and faced their fears.

Under the effect of the spell, the Boggart turned into a mummy that tripped over its own bandages;

Then it turned into a giant spider wearing roller skates.

The little wizards used their imagination to transform Boggart into various interesting shapes.

When it was Harry's turn, the Boggart changed its form, and finally, the figure of the Dementor appeared in front of him.

A cold feeling came over Harry, and he suddenly found it difficult to breathe.

Why a Dementor?

Shouldn't it be Voldemort?

The dizziness returned and Harry struggled to cast the spell.

Lupin was standing aside, and when he saw Harry staggering, he immediately stepped in front of him.

The Bogut changed again, turning into a silver-white ball.

"Funny, funny!" Lupin waved his wand, and the silver ball turned into a deflated balloon and flew back into the cabinet.

"Okay, that's it for today's class," Lupin locked the cabinet door and gave instructions to the students, "Everyone has performed very well."

"For homework, please read the chapter about Boggarts and write a short paper, due in class next week."

The little wizards whose turn it was not yet came wailing, and they also wanted to go up and try.

There was nothing they could do; the bell rang and they could only pack their bags and leave the classroom.

Everyone was very excited and kept discussing the changes in Boggart.

Harry walked at the end sullenly, feeling very aggrieved.

My resistance to Dementors was too poor, and I almost fainted when facing the fake Dementors.

If it weren't for Professor Lupin, I would have made a fool of myself in public.

Harry made up his mind secretly.

Tomorrow night is the duel club, and Professor Swann will teach everyone how to deal with Dementors.

No matter what, I must master the Patronus Charm as soon as possible.

Go to the library now and look up some information on the Patronus Charm.
