"To be honest, I did study music out of spite. Although I am currently studying music production, when I was studying at school, the music in my mind was concrete every day."

Sophia finally picked up the espresso in front of her and drank it in one gulp. Her wrinkled face was not sure whether it was because of the bitterness of the coffee or the confusion in her heart.

"Concrete?"

Tang Wenwan raised her eyebrows in surprise. She didn't know much about music, but this was the first time she heard someone use this word to describe music.

"Well, all music forms pictures in my mind. I am more interested in the pictures formed by the music, not the music behind the pictures."

Sophia explained in a somewhat disorganized manner, and once again felt her head filled with a riot of colour.

"You're talking about Kandinsky! Didn't the professor talk to you about Kandinsky?"

Tang Wenwan suddenly remembered a celebrity biography she saw in Professor Luca's study.

"What?"

Sophia asked back, obviously having never heard of it. Under Tang Wenwan's burning gaze, she murmured a little embarrassedly:

"I never talk to my parents about anything academic."

"Kandinsky?"

Sophia repeated the unfamiliar name uncertainly, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

“Does he have anything to do with the connection between music and picture?”

Tang Wenwan laughed, taking in Sophia's longing.

"Kandinsky was a Russian painter who created abstract art. In his eyes, music and painting can be transformed into each other. I recently saw a book he wrote called "On the Spirit of Art" in your father's study. It describes his understanding of the transformation between music and painting."

"Does my dad have this kind of book in his study?"

Sophia's eyes were so big that they were almost as big as bells.

Tang Wenwan smiled and nodded. Looking at her exaggerated expression, she deliberately said mysteriously:

"I haven't had time to study the book in detail, but my rough understanding is that his views are probably the same as yours. He also believes that every piece of music can be expressed through concrete painting."

"Really?"

Sophia couldn't control herself and covered her mouth, looking at Tang Wenwan excitedly.

"I think Professor Luca knows more about this theory because the book is very old and many pages are marked with annotations. It is obvious that the professor must have read it many times."

Sophia curled her lips with a complicated expression, then rolled her eyes and returned to her indifferent expression.

Tang Wenwan saw everything, her eyes moved slightly, and she said casually:

"If I were you, I would ask Professor Luca about his research on the crossover between music and fine arts, and discuss whether it is too late to change majors now."

As expected, after seeing Sophia's expression of extreme rejection, Tang Wenwan did not wait for her to refuse and changed the subject:

"By the way, speaking of music, your mother and I have recently been discussing the topic of Chinese sound therapy. Unfortunately, I don't really know much about music. It would be great if you were here. We would definitely be able to create many unexpected sparks."

“Chinese sound therapy?”

Sophia's interest was easily aroused again.

"You know that I have been studying art therapy with your mother Selena recently. Maybe because I am Chinese, your mother suddenly mentioned Chinese sound therapy to me that day, which surprised me."

Tang Wenwan saw that the little fish had taken the bait, so she changed her posture and started talking again:

"I later looked it up and found that Chinese sound therapy usually uses the ancient five-tone harmony theory. According to this theory, different music and sounds can affect the functions of the five internal organs of the human body, thereby playing a therapeutic and regulating role.

For example, high notes can stimulate the liver, while low notes correspond to the spleen. In our research, we found that properly choosing the right music can stimulate the body’s internal healing power.”

When she saw Sophia's shocked look again, Tang Wenwan laughed and blinked at the dumbfounded girl:

"Don't you think it's magical?"

Sophia didn't expect that Tang Wenwan had washed her mind with so much knowledge in just one afternoon that her brain was about to crash.

"You~~you are studying these with them at my house?"

After a long moment, Sophia uttered a low, envious question, as if the voice was not her own. This completely overturned her parents' understanding of traditional academic studies.

"Hmm~ isn't it interesting?"

Tang Wenwan raised her head proudly and even a little bit ostentatiously.

"Would you like to come back and study with us?"

She once again took the initiative and invited Sophia.

"But~"

Sophia was obviously moved, and her face was full of hesitation, but she still had time to refuse.

"Hmm~"

Tang Wenwan covered her mouth and looked like she was about to vomit.

The waiter behind him happened to pass by with a plate of cheese and prosciutto, and he was so scared that he almost threw the plate away.

"Wendy?!"

Sophia stood up without thinking and held her shoulders.

"Maybe I really need you to accompany me to your family doctor."

Tang Wenwan's eyes flickered, and she leaned into Sophia's arms seemingly weakly.

"After we came back from the Chinese restaurant last time, your mom kept saying that she wanted to go with me, but she's been busy giving a speech at school these past two days, so I refused because I was afraid of delaying her schedule."

"How can you be afraid of delaying this? We'll go right away. I'll accompany you."

As expected, the innocent and kind-hearted Sophia had the traditional enthusiasm of the Luca family. Tang Wenwan followed her out the door with satisfaction.

Sophia led Tang Wenwan through several blocks and arrived at a small orange building, which was the private clinic of their family doctor.

"Giovanni, I'm sorry you came here without an appointment. This is my parents' student. She has been feeling unwell for a few days."

As soon as she entered the clinic, she met the doctor who was just seeing off a patient. Sophia quickly went up to him and greeted him.

"Sophia, when did you come back? Oh my god, we haven't seen each other for a long time."

The doctor was a plump middle-aged man, and he was obviously surprised and happy to see Sophia.

Sophia then realized that her whereabouts were completely exposed. She brushed her hair awkwardly and glanced at Tang Wenwan who was obviously not feeling well and said:

"Yes, I just got back. Can you check on my friend first? We are all worried about her."

Dr. Giovanni then looked at Tang Wenwan, who was standing next to Sophia and looked unhappy.

"It seems that her condition is indeed not good. Come with me and let's check her out first."

As he said that, he took Tang Wenwan into the internal clinic.

"Ms. Tang, congratulations, you are pregnant. So far, your reactions are all normal early morning sickness, there is nothing to worry about."

Tang Wenwan never expected this to be the result of the examination. She then remembered that her aunt had not visited her during the days she had been on the run.

"This~I~"

Tang Wenwan was completely stunned and held Sophia's hand tightly. Now it was her turn and she was completely unable to think.
