Turnaround Life: The Rebirth Elegy of the Wealthy Wife
Chapter 64 Heart
Two days later in the afternoon, Tang Wenwan came to the corner coffee shop that Sophia mentioned as promised.
This coffee shop is located in a narrow alley, exuding a charming Italian style. The interior decoration is simple and elegant, and the carefully selected furniture and decorations show a strong literary atmosphere.
Tang Wenwan had just sat down in the corner when Sophia hurried into the store.
"Hi, Wendy!"
Apparently, when she heard Selena calling her that day, she remembered the name.
She was wearing a pair of loose ripped jeans today, paired with a tight vest, exuding a youthful feeling.
"The paintings on the wall are quite old, right?"
On the walls of the coffee shop are hung paintings of Italian landscapes full of rich colors. The orange sunlight shines on the red brick walls, reflecting the unique warm atmosphere of the corner coffee shop.
Tang Wenwan didn't greet her, but stared at the oil painting on the wall and asked curiously.
"This store has a history of hundreds of years. The owners have changed for several generations, and the furnishings have hardly been moved. They were here when I was a child, so I think it must have a certain history."
Sophia sat down familiarly, and replied with her while looking at the painting on the wall.
"That's great. There are fewer and fewer old shops with a history like this in our area. Sitting in a shop like this makes you feel like time has stopped."
Tang Wenwan picked up the sparkling water in front of her, took a sip and said sincerely, her face full of intoxication and envy.
"You are also a thousand-year-old country. I have always longed for your oriental mysteries."
Sophia was always easily led off topic by Tang Wenwan. Now she was describing the mysterious East in her mind with a longing look on her face, completely forgetting that today she was here to punish her for occupying the magpie's nest.
"When do you plan to go home this time?"
After all, with the experience of two lives, Tang Wenwan knew how to set the pace, and just one sentence could bring her back to reality.
"Tsk~"
Sophia glanced at her with a bit of dissatisfaction, raised her hand to order herself a cup of coffee, and then leaned back in her chair leisurely.
"Leave me alone!"
When the topic of going home was mentioned, she became alert and her hair stood on end.
"You didn't betray me?"
She asked tentatively, fiddling with her big pink curls.
Tang Wenwan laughed and shook her head.
"Actually, you and I are pretty much the same," she said frankly.
"I also sneaked out, but not because of my family, but because of a man."
"man?"
Sophia raised her eyebrows in confusion.
Speaking of that man, Tang Wenwan's mind resurfaced with his heart-wrenching cry that night. Alexander let out a long sigh and looked at Sophia, not knowing what to say.
"What about you? You really don't plan to go back? In fact, teach them~"
Before Tang Wenwan could finish her words, Sophia raised her hand impatiently to stop her.
"So you're not going back?"
She did not directly answer Tang Wenwan's question, but instead asked a follow-up question.
"How is that possible? I just plan to come here to study for two years and return with some accomplishments."
Tang Wenwan quickly confessed, as if she was afraid that Sophia would misunderstand.
“What does it mean to be successful in learning?”
Sophia asked doubtfully, with a searching look in her eyes.
"I learned fresco painting from your father and art therapy from your mother. If possible, I would also like to set up an art therapy organization myself to help people break through their inner bottlenecks and find peace of mind through different forms of painting."
“Art therapy?”
Sophia repeated it again with interest.
"Has my mother's research project started to take shape now?"
"Well, I'm currently accumulating cases and designing a curriculum system. The latest book should be published by the end of the year."
Tang Wenwan stated truthfully.
"I heard from Jeric that you went to college in the United States. What did you study?"
Talking about academics, she couldn't help but be curious about Sophia's current subject.
"Uh~"
"I originally studied music, but now I find that I don't really like it."
Sophia confessed a little frustrated.
"That's nothing. Young people should try different things. Besides, all art is interconnected."
Tang Wenwan nodded in understanding and expressed her own opinion.
"You really think so?"
Instead, Sophia stared at her with wide eyes in surprise, as if she had made some sensational statement.
"Since I was little, my parents and everyone around me have emphasized to me that I should learn painting or psychology, as if if I don't learn these two subjects, my life will be completely hopeless."
Sophia complained accusingly.
"That's understandable. Your family has such great resources. Your biological parents are the top authoritative professors in two disciplines. It's a pity that you don't make use of them."
Tang Wenwan laughed and said without hiding her envy at all.
"I knew you would think so."
Sophia pouted, looking disappointed.
"Of course I think so, but I don't think you have to follow the same path as them. As long as you want, there are many ways to try and experience. After all, you are the protagonist of your own life."
Feeling a little sour in her stomach again, Tang Wenwan frowned and drank some water before speaking slowly, as if explaining to herself.
"Can I?"
Apparently these words opened Sophia's heart, and she looked at Tang Wenwan with shining eyes for confirmation.
"Aren't you doing that right now?"
Tang Wenwan looked at her helplessly, thinking, what else do you want?
"Well, is it?"
Sophia asked back with confusion in her eyes.
"Don't tell me you're just fighting against them now."
Tang Wenwan felt a bit of a headache looking at the girl in front of her who was about the same age as herself. Suddenly she realized that her soul from two different worlds was obviously much more mature mentally than her actual age.
Sophia was shocked by Tang Wenwan's words. She didn't know how to respond for a moment. The confusion in her eyes revealed that she was completely hit by the words.
"Have you ever really thought about what kind of person you want to be?"
Tang Wenwan asked patiently with a bit of frustration.
Another confused look, and Sophia froze in her seat as if petrified, not even noticing that the espresso in her hand had gone cold.
"Well, I agree that your biggest problem now is not whether to go home or not."
Tang Wenwan rubbed her brows and commented weakly.
"I think the most important thing you should figure out is what you really want to do. That's the most important thing."
Tang Wenwan said affirmatively.
"Home is always there anyway. You can go back anytime you want. But if you don't have a direction, then no one can help you."
