HP: Hogwarts, but pro-generation
Chapter 161 Are You Going to Arrest Me?
Xia felt so relieved when she walked out of the headmaster's office. Even if it was just handing over a tiara, with her flawed words and acting skills as well as Professor Dumbledore's sharpness and wisdom, it would not be difficult to find out that the tiara was a Horcrux. What's more, she would come to the headmaster's office to find Professor Dumbledore after class, and she could act accordingly then.
This plan and action were full of loopholes, but Xia didn't care. She had already thought about it when she handed the crown to Professor Dumbledore. No matter how she was suspected or whether she could explain it clearly, as long as the Horcruxes were destroyed and Voldemort was killed as soon as possible, she didn't care about anything else. But she still saved the private message to delay it, just in case she could find a reasonable explanation later.
Traveling through time - oh, this is ridiculous.
Xia could even imagine in her mind that Professor Dumbledore would be surprised for a moment, then look at her with tolerance and smile, saying: "Time magic is full of wonders."
When Xia arrived at the classroom, Professor Slughorn was already standing on the podium. Fortunately, he was a kind and easy-going professor - in some cases - he did not blame Xia. Instead, he smiled and asked her to sit next to Lily quickly: "Oh! My two favorite students!" He always said that.
When Xia passed Ander and the others who were sitting in the last row, she had to continue walking forward stiffly despite their inquiring gazes. She felt uncomfortable from the moment she entered the classroom, and the feeling reached its peak when she passed them. She had no doubt that if it weren't for the way each of them looked at her with eyes that could burn through her, she wouldn't have felt uncomfortable at all!
When Xia thought about having to give Ender and the others a reasonable explanation before going to see Professor Dumbledore, she suddenly felt the sky above her head turn gray, as if invisible dark clouds were happily sprinkling irritating raindrops above her head.
"Where have you been?" Lily asked in a low voice as she set up the cauldron.
Oh, it seems that she has to give Lily an explanation first. Xia thought with some grief and anger that she should secretly take a night trip at night to solve all the problems!
"What—?" Xia pretended not to understand, but her usual ferocious action of cutting the daisy roots betrayed her.
"Come on," Lily said, "you must be hiding something from me."
Lily was not dissatisfied with this. She knew that everyone had secrets. She just had a bad feeling lingering in her heart. She could only hope that it had nothing to do with Xia's abnormal behavior today.
Xia gave a flattering smile. She knew that Lily had no intention of blaming her. She followed the steps in the book and put the chopped daisy roots into the crucible. She stirred carefully and said, "I will definitely tell you, but... not now... wait until I think about it. After I have talked to Professor Dumbledore."
Xia's last sentence was almost slurred, and Lily didn't hear it clearly. She took the materials Xia handed to her, and then said with some concern: "I just have a bad feeling. The wizard's premonition is quite accurate, isn't it?"
Xia laughed out loud, but luckily she knew how to control her voice. By the time others noticed, she was already shaking all over and trying not to laugh. Xia wiped the tears from her eyes and said to Lily, who was quite serious, "That's right, but your bad feeling may just be that I was almost late for class, which is over now. And Professor Slughorn is reluctant to deduct my points."
Xia blinked, and Lily sighed imperceptibly and said, "Okay, okay, I can always wait for a more reasonable explanation!"
From the moment she said this, Xia knew that she had passed Lily's level.
When they finished their conversation, the shrinking potion was finished, emitting a bright green color. Slughorn generously gave Gryffindor ten points and highly praised the two clever and outstanding little witches.
The first class after the start of the school term ended perfectly with the professor's praise. Xia was packing up the textbooks that Tolili brought in the morning, when suddenly a shadow fell over her head. "It feels like it's going to rain." Xia muttered, then raised her head and tried to dismiss Ander with a very bright smile.
Lily showed a helpless expression. Not to mention that she herself did not believe Xia's excuse of saying nothing, based on Ander's persistent attitude of getting to the bottom of things, Lily could only wish Xia good luck. She even stayed behind and united with Ander.
Xia put away her smile and exclaimed. She quickly hugged the textbook in her arms and said to Lily and Ander, "Oh! I remembered that I have something else to do. I'll leave first!"
As she was about to turn around and leave, she found three figures who were as strong as Ender blocking her back - James, Sirius, and Remus - after a holiday, the boys grew taller like crazy as if they had drunk a growth potion. Xia couldn't help swallowing her saliva in the face of this scene, and said hesitantly, "Are you going to arrest me?"
James wanted to smile at this little joke, but after seeing Ender's dangerous raised eyebrows and Lily's glare, he could only quietly straighten the corners of his mouth, trying to look serious. Xia did not miss James's little expression. She felt regretful for a moment, because she thought she could find a breakthrough from him.
"What do you want to ask?" Xia simply found a place to sit down. She looked around at the people in front of her, hoping to escape quickly.
Ander said, "Where have you been?"
Lily couldn't help but burst out laughing after hearing this, but then she realized that this was not the right attitude to have during an interrogation, so she straightened her face and said, "Sorry, please continue."
Xia said: "It went here and there."
"Huh?" Ander didn't give Xia any chance to fool him. "I don't mean anything else. It's just that, last semester--"
Xia felt a little guilty when she heard that. She resisted the urge to tell him everything and chose a compromise statement: "I went to the principal's office."
After saying that, she made a big cross with her hands in front of her chest and refused to say anything more.
They all knew that asking further would yield no results, so they could only hold their noses and reluctantly stop this interrogation that was not really an interrogation.
Lily put her arm around Xia's shoulders, "Hey, you didn't tell me that just now."
Xia laughed dryly and assured Lily in a voice that only the two of them could hear: "Don't worry, I will definitely tell you the first time I get back to you."
After saying that, Xia quickly fled the Potions classroom. She didn't want to stay any longer and give them the chance to question her.
