Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 104: It's actually popular to collect protection money here
Spider-Man pressed himself against the wall, taking in his surroundings. He had no idea what he was looking for right now, but frankly, moving around felt better than sitting still and waiting for help. Maybe he could find something or someone that could help, though intellectually, he doubted it.
It's an alien planet after all.
"All I need to do is find a safe place to land," Spider-Man muttered.
His stomach growled.
He looked down and thought about his hometown and his favorite deli, which had the best sandwiches in Queens.
"I doubt they will accept money from humans." Spider-Man pondered for a while, and couldn't stand the hunger anymore, so he said to himself, "Maybe they will accept it."
Looking around again, he spotted what looked like some kind of stall, similar to the ones he often saw on the corners of New York. Taking this opportunity, Spider-Man dropped down and landed right in front of the stall, shocking many people.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he said sheepishly, holding up his hands. "I didn't mean to do this to you. I'm just hungry."
He turned to the flat-headed humanoid vendor and said awkwardly, "Uh...hi..."
The humanoid vendor stared at him in confusion.
"So, uh, what do you have to eat here?" Spider-Man asked innocently.
"sorry?"
"Food. I've never been here before, so—"
Spider-Man was begging in his mind at this moment: "Please speak English, please speak English."
"Can't you read?"
"what?"
Glancing back at the menu, Spider-Man immediately responded, "No, I don't."
"Child, which mountain did you come from?"
The Earthling's mouth opened and closed, trying to come up with an answer, "I don't know if you'll believe me."
The vendor just tilted his head, "Who the hell are you, kid? Which Jedi? You fell from a great height, I've only ever seen Jedi do that."
"Jedi? What is a Jedi?" Spider-Man asked confusedly.
"Are you serious, kid?"
"Uh...yeah, I literally just got here, and-"
"Garen, is the money ready?"
When the vendor heard the sound, he looked nervous.
Spider-Man turned his head and he saw a group of very strange aliens that he could only describe as a hammerhead shark with a curved body and the head of a fish, similar to stingrays on Earth.
Spider-Man immediately narrowed his eyes and stared at the group of people who had just spoken. He felt it was amazing that collecting protection fees was actually popular here.
The vendor pleaded humbly, "Please, Zaz, I've already paid for this week. I have a big family to support, please, I just don't have any money today."
The strange hammer-headed alien laughed, and the other flat-headed alien just smiled sinisterly and said sinisterly: "Zaz, let me teach Garen and let him know the consequences of not paying in advance."
"Excuse me," Peter interrupted politely, taking a big step in front of Gulan, "Hi, nice to meet you all. I'm new here, and Garen is a friendly old man who's just showing me around this lovely city. So, could you come back and talk to him later?"
The four people in front of Spider-Man were obviously a little overwhelmed by his sudden interruption. After seeing Spider-Man wearing a brightly colored costume, they started laughing.
The squid-headed alien said to the other one, "Look at this guy, how can he take himself seriously?"
Suddenly, Spider-Man moved.
"Ok?"
Zaz is caught in the web. His other accomplices notice this and point their guns at Spider-Man, but Peter ignores them.
Zaz said in an angry tone, "Alright, guys. Looks like we're going to have to teach this little guy a lesson here, and let him know how to behave on Coruscant."
They rushed towards Spider-Man, and Peter quickly raised his arms and fired several spider webs, trapping several people in the spider webs as well.
Spider-Man looked down at the thugs, then turned to look at Garen and saw many people staring at him in shock.
"Are you—are you sure you're not a Jedi?" Garen asked.
Spider-Man rubbed the back of his head in confusion, "What is this Jedi you keep talking about?"
Garen said slowly: "To some extent. They are as powerful as you, so who are you?"
"Spider-Man," he introduced himself, "Just a lost hero."
Garen looked at Spider-Man and said, "Well...you saved me. What can I do for you?"
"No, you don't need to--" Just then, Spider-Man's rumbling stomach interrupted what he was about to say, and the scene became a little awkward.
Garen blinked, then said, "Well, okay, I get it, I think a small meal can express my gratitude to you."
Spider-Man stammered, "But I don't have any money."
"Oh, don't worry about it." Garen waved his hand and said, "After you helped me, a small meal is nothing."
While Spider-Man was enjoying a delicious alien meal, two young Jedi Knights regained consciousness in a nearby clinic.
Ahsoka groaned in pain and immediately placed a hand on her head when she heard the droid's voice.
"Please lie down for a moment. You are regaining consciousness. Any sudden movement may cause you to pass out again."
Ahsoka muttered, "Um-Barriss, where's Barriss?"
"You mean that Mirio guy?"
Ahsoka nodded.
"She's beside you, and it looks like she's regaining consciousness as well."
Ahsoka tilted her head to the side and opened her eyes, she saw her companion groaning as she looked over.
"Barriss," Ahsoka said with a slight groan, "Are you okay?"
"It's okay." Aoife said softly.
"What happened?" Ahsoka asked, sitting up carefully.
"I'm sure we were knocked down by some kind of electrified rope."
Both girls had their eyes open now and turned their heads towards the medical robot, which was holding some ropes in one hand.
"You were tied up with these ropes and passed out, and a few citizens brought you two here," the robot explained.
After expressing her gratitude, Barriss sat up to examine herself, but she froze. "My—my lightsaber—"
Hearing Barris's worried tone, Ahsoka's hand subconsciously reached for the hilt of her sword, only to find...
"Mine's gone too," Ahsoka said in horror.
"We must contact the Temple," Barriss said, raising her wrist, only to find that the communication was disabled.
"Communications are disabled!" Ahsoka said in horror, "What the hell happened?!"
"Someone must be looking for that new Earthling as well, and they have malicious intentions towards us."
The two looked at each other and said in unison: "Sith!"
"Then we must find this person first!" Ahsoka said hurriedly.
Barris reached out his hand to stop Ahsoka, who had already jumped off the bed, and said, "Ahsoka, think about it. We are unarmed now. We need to contact our Master and the Avengers."
"It's too late, Barriss," Ahsoka argued, "Whoever took us down must also be hunting this new Earthling. We need to find the Earthling first so we have a chance to find our lightsabers."
Barris bit his lip, hesitant, and finally said: "Let's send out a distress signal first, and then go look for the Earthlings. This way, if we find him and the person who attacked us, the other Jedi Knights and Avengers will be able to come to support us as soon as possible."
After reaching an agreement, Ahsoka and Barriss sent out a distress signal, rushed out of the clinic, and returned to the place where they were originally attacked, continuing from where they left off.
