Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 112 Death Guards and Protectors
Meanwhile, on the other side of the galaxy, in the Outer Rim, a ship was flying toward a planet with a mixed biome, a mix of jungle, forest, desert, and plains, and after flying over several farms, things changed when it approached an obviously heavily guarded camp, where men and women armed to the teeth were using blasters in the open air.
The spaceship landed, and the landing bay opened from the rear. Several people walked out, they were also wearing heavy armor, with trident claw marks on their shoulder pads.
The lead armored trooper spotted the guards in front of the camp where they landed.
"This is the place." The captain spoke.
They began to move towards the front of the camp, the guards all raising their blasters, causing the approaching people to stop in their tracks.
"Hey, we're all Mandalorians, there's no need to be so hostile."
"Oh, we have many reasons to do this." A voice came from behind the guard.
A fully armed Mandalorian came out of the camp. He looked very young, but he was intimidating without being angry. He knew the visitor standing in front of him very well. This man had blond hair and blue eyes. His Mandalorian armor was a striking green, and his helmet was decorated with red.
"I guess you are Finn Shasa." The Mandalorian leader who came down from the spaceship said, taking off his helmet.
"It's me," Finn said. "You must be Bo-Katan. You must be eager to talk to us."
Bo-Katan has red hair, striking emerald eyes, and fair skin.
"This is why I'm here," Bo-Katan began. "I've never seen you Mandalorians before. What do you call yourselves? Protectors, right?"
Finn said, "If you want to talk, then follow me. If you dare to raise your blasters again, I will ensure that you Death Watch will die instantly."
Narrowing her eyes at Finn as he turned and walked into the camp, Bo-Katan wordlessly tilted her head slightly, motioning for her team to follow her. They began to make their way through the camp, encountering many Mandalorians who viewed the Death Watch squad with a clear sense of distrust.
Eventually, they reached the center of the camp, in front of a large tent. Atop the tent hung a symbol every Mandalorian would recognize - the skull of a legendary mythical dragon.
"Come on," Finn motioned for them to go inside, and Beau and her team followed him.
The tent was spacious, with several tables and small hammocks, while weapons and other equipment were hung from the fabric walls and ceiling. In the middle sat a Mandalorian, his back to the door.
"Spar," Finn said. "They're coming."
The Mandalorian turned to Bo-Katan, revealing a face she wasn't expecting.
"ARC trooper?" she said with a hint of disgust. "How can a Clone Advanced Recon Commando be the leader of a Mandalorian clan? Shouldn't you have dropped your weapons and surrendered like the other Republic clones?"
Her words caused the other Mandalorians in the tent to raise their weapons. Spar waved them down. He looked at each Death Watch for a long moment before calmly asking, "Do you know where we are?"
Bo-Katan blinked and shook his head in confusion.
Spaar said seriously: "Harmonious morning."
Bo-Katan is unsure of the significance of the question, but decides to tease him and says, "Concord Dawn."
Instead, Spall nodded seriously, "Right. Concord Dawn. Do you know why I set up a base here?"
To be honest, Bo-Katan wasn't one to like riddles. She preferred to get straight to the point, and asked angrily, "Can you tell me what this means?"
"This is the birthplace of Tor Vizsla and Juster Merrill," Spar said, standing up from his seat.
Bo-Katan's eyes widened in surprise, she didn't know.
"You've obviously not learned the history of your Death Watch in a long time," Spar muttered as he casually walked over to a nearby table and pulled out an old Mandalore holographic display.
"Juster Merrill," Spall said. "Our former leader, the man who led the true Mandalorians. He was the true Mandalorian who reorganized and reformed Mandalore. Transformed the Mandalorians into warriors, both soldiers and mercenaries, with the true Mandalorian spirit. The barbaric, pillaging and bandit ways of the past only resulted in the unnecessary death and slaughter of innocents when faced with the barrels of our blasters, and ultimately backfired on our own people. Juster changed that, creating the Super Commando Codex.
Spahr held up a thick pamphlet.
"The codex we follow," Spall said, staring at Bo-Katan, who couldn't deny that he was becoming more and more nervous as Spall continued.
"The order of the Death Watch was created by the warlord Tor Vizsla, who longed for the fanatical ways of old, believing that the Mandalorians would forever fight, only to die in droves."
Bo-Katan was nervous, but Spall still made his point bluntly, "Just Merrill and his eventual successor, my predecessor and ancestor Jango Fett, ultimately killed Tor Vizsla and essentially destroyed Death Watch." Spall stood directly in front of Katan, who was sweating anxiously.
"This was his farm," Spall said, his eyes fixed on Beau. "This is where his journey as a Mandalorian, a Mandalorian, began, and eventually became the template for the Republic's Clone Army. Of which I myself was a part. But now, I stand here, being given the title of Mandalore not because I wanted to steal anything, but because it was forced upon me by the people here."
Bo-Katan was a little scared inside, but she tried her best not to back down. She wasn't one to be intimidated that easily, but Spall was proving to be quite authoritative.
"The worst part is, I remember what the Death Watch did." Spall said in a gloomy voice, "My duty is to uphold and restore the past honor of the Mandalorians. Now I stand before me a member of the Death Watch, so, should we kill you now? Or take you prisoner?"
The tent was silent and tense.
No one moved or said a word.
The Death Watch members froze, their hands reaching for their blasters but unable to move them, fearing for their own situation...
"Let's go." Spall waved him to let them go.
Bo exhaled, not reacting, "What?"
"I said leave." Spurr said, taking a step back. "There's no use killing you here. Go, leave this planet. Tell your little leader that a true Mandalorian would never follow a disgusting warmonger like him."
It didn't take long for the Death Watch team to regain their senses. Bo glared at Spurr, who gave her a frank look.
Left soon after.
Finn said, "I guess we have a few more enemies now."
"We are Mandalorians, Finn," Spall said flatly, "In general, the entire galaxy is our enemy. For the sake of our people, we must protect ourselves. Even if it means fighting against our own. This is the Mandalorian way."
"Finn, Toby, start the ship and start preparations." Spar instructed his two closest friends, "Go find Ryan and make sure our weapons are functioning properly."
Now is the time for the Mandalorian to take action.
