At this time, the Guardians of the Galaxy were dismantling the abandoned spaceship they found.

"Kraglin, is there anything in there?" Raccoon called out from outside the spaceship, where they found the disassembled robot parts. Only a piece of the chest part was missing.

"No." Kraglin responded, removing the control panel in the cockpit of the ship, trying to see if there was anything useful inside, and muttered: "This ship is only one step away from collapse."

"I really wonder what it went through." Star-Lord said, sitting in a chair in the cockpit.

Gamora walked around the ship, examining it carefully, and it was a rather strange ship to say the least.

It is designed with one side curved and the other side with three extended claws. Two of the claws are connected together while one claw just extends out and connects to the rest of the boat through the rear curve.

As she walked through the interior of the ship she found it to be quite spacious, somewhat like the old Milan.

Drax and Mantis had long since grown bored, and off to the side, Raccoon swore at the robot head before striding off to look for some replacement parts.

"I'm Groot!"

Gamora turned around and saw that Groot had disembarked, holding what looked like a…

"Raccoon." Gamora shouted to Rocket Raccoon who had already left the Benatar's hangar, "Groot found the part in his chest."

"Well," the Raccoon yelled, reentering the hangar with his tool kit, "that makes things a little easier."

Gamora turned to look at Groot, who had already put the shard in his chest down with the rest of it.

"Where did you find it, Groot?" Gamora asked.

"I am Groot!" said the Tree of Wisdom with a shrug.

"The floor?" Gamora turned to the ship. "On the ship?"

"I'm Groot!"

"Haha, interesting. Are there any new things in it?"

"I'm Groot!"

"Groot discovered a compartment beneath the floorboards of the ship."

"Compartment?" Raccoon repeated, staring at the ship and guessing, "Well, maybe a transport ship or a smuggling ship."

Gamora simply shrugged and looked back at Groot as he re-entered the ship to see what else he could find.

Next to the cockpit, Star-Lord was assisting Kraglin in extracting flight data. Star-Lord asked, "What language is this?"

"I have no more idea than you do, Quill. Never seen anything like it. It doesn't seem to match any language I know."

Star-Lord remembered that the ship was very old, and he guessed that it might have come from an extinct race.

"Then let's take out everything we can extract and think of a solution later," said Star-Lord.

The raccoon went through a few schematics he found in the robot's head, which appeared to be damaged. He then used some replacement wires and metal, and he patted the back of the robot's head with a satisfied cry.

Now that he had finished repairing the robot's head, it was time to tackle the rest of the body.

He slowly began to put his head back on his chest, then his arms...

"Hey guys, I'm done." The raccoon called out to the guardians.

Soon, the Guardians all appeared in the hangar, with Raccoon standing on a crate, doing some fine-tuning on the robot.

After a moment, the robot's red optics began to flicker. After another moment, its head began to move from side to side. Then it stared at the Guardian, who glanced back at the robot with a hint of anticipation.

Then it spoke.

"Inquiry: Who are you? And, where am I? Are you a friendly creature? Or a nasty one?"

Some of the people present blinked and watched the robot speak.

"Uh... I guess we're friendly," Star-Lord said in an uncertain tone.

The robot then looked back at the rest of the Guardians, "Tell me again, who are you and where am I?"

"In order: I'm Gamora, this is Peter Quill, that's Rocket Raccoon, Drax, Mantis, Kraglin, he's Groot. We are the Guardians of the Galaxy."

"Chaos: Guardians of the Galaxy? What does that mean?"

"We're just a bunch of misfits, if you want to know," the raccoon chimed in. "So far, I've only helped save the galaxy twice."

"As for where we are," Gamora continued, "well... you're on an abandoned ship."

The robot looked around, then said, "This is my master's ship."

The mantis girl asked, "Your master?"

"Yes, big eyes. Q: You don't look like those annoying Jedi Knights?"

All the Guardians stared at the robot in confusion, and Drax and Star-Lord looked at each other.

"What is a Jedi?"

The droid looked at them silently: "You don't know what a Jedi is?"

"I don't know." Star-Lord looked at his teammates, "Do you have any--"

"Never heard of it."

"do not know anything."

"I'm Groot!"

Robot: "I don't know what the intelligent tree just said."

"You'll understand it once you get used to it," the raccoon said to the reassembled robot.

"Further questioning: If you don't know the Jedi, you said my ship was abandoned. How long?"

Which was a little strange to say, since they really didn't expect to find any survivors on the ship.

The raccoon said bluntly, "Your ship has been floating like a garbage dump for about four thousand years, Tin Head."

The robot looked around to see if they were talking nonsense, but found no signs of deception.

"Sad: Then my master is long gone."

"Who is your master?"

"Glorious Master Revane." The robot sounded a little glum.

"To make matters worse, my second master, Surik, is undoubtedly dead as well."

Some of the guards felt a little sympathy for the repaired robot.

"What do you want to do now?"

"I... don't know." The robot said hesitantly.

Mantis could only feel a slight connection to the robot in front of her, but only a little.

"What is your function?" Kraglin asked.

"I was programmed as an assassination droid," the robot said with great pride. "You can call me HK-47. Do you want to check it out now? Do you need to kill anyone? It seems that all my functions and schematics have been restored since I was reactivated."

"You're welcome," the raccoon said loudly, catching HK's attention.
