Senator Rio Tschurch was relieved that the Senate meeting was finally over. Honestly, it felt pointless and Tschurch didn't know how her mentor and friend Padmé had endured it all.

She felt a pat on her back and looked up to see the new Twi'lek representative, Cham Syndulla, giving her an encouraging and understanding look.

He has been very independent since he succeeded Free Tower as senator, and has publicly criticized the way the Republic has been conducting itself during the war. Really, Cham is a breath of fresh air in a smoky parliament because he constantly challenges the norms and because he is the one who dares to challenge the bureaucratic rhetoric. He finds himself more willing to take action than other senators, rather than sitting around doing nothing.

It's no surprise, then, that he became good friends and allies with Senator Padmé, Organa, Mothma, and herself, as well as their own little circle.

Chucky gave him a grin and continued down the hallway to her private office in the Senate building.

As she got closer, she saw a familiar wisp of silver hair in front of the door.

Blinking, Chucky felt the corners of her mouth lift as she approached the bored looking Avenger leaning against the closed door of his office.

Clearing his throat, Chucky caught the Avenger's attention.

"Mr. Maximov," Chucky said cheerfully, "It's so nice to see you again. What can I do for you today?"

In the past few weeks, Quicksilver has often appeared in Chucky's daily life, intentionally or unintentionally.

Now, Chuchi was no stranger to this kind of behavior. While attending school on her home planet, there were several boys her age who would do something similar to Quicksilver to get attention in front of her, and to be honest, most of them would not measure up. It wasn't that she was cruel, because at the time she wanted to focus more on her studies.

She was partly grateful to her home planet for allowing her to become a senator for her people, because since then, the suitors have disappeared.

It's easy for Chuchi to get so absorbed in her work that she can't even take time out for a proper dinner, for example. She feels as though she never has time to think about relationships. Chuchi has many responsibilities for her people and the Republic. She feels practically married to her work.

But now?

After everything she had witnessed during her brief tenure as a senator during the war, she honestly longed to find new ways to escape what she saw as a meaningless job.

Pietro Maximov came into her sight. The young man certainly did not resemble any suitor she had encountered before, and she was not sure whether that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Yet, if there was one defining factor in the short time she had known Quicksilver, it was his persistence.

Like Cham Syndulla, Quicksilver was always on his own, always coming to cheer her up when she least expected it, or at least calling her when he wasn't around.

He is brash, cocky, arrogant to a certain extent, feels a little inferior at times, but is also very casual at times, rather than the moody and focused Barton he often talks about. Then again, he also says that many of his jokes come directly from that old Avenger.

It was obvious to her that Quicksilver looked up to this Clint Barton. Either as a brother or an uncle figure.

Although Quicksilver hid it well, Chucky saw his feelings for her. Cham had spoken of his actions on Ryloth, and the Twi'lek leader told her that Quicksilver was a man of high morale. He did everything he could to help the inhabitants of Ryloth, providing extra food for the hungry, medicine for those who needed it most, and even toys for the children. When she met Cham's daughter, she proudly held up her doll, which she had modified to look like Quicksilver.

It was quite amusing to see a man like Quicksilver become so shy and try his best to hide his red cheeks when talking about that little gathering.

"Oh, nothing, Rio," Quicksilver said, "Just wanted to hear how bad your meeting was today."

Rio Chuchi just sighed and rubbed his head, and she walked into the office with him.

Quicksilver asked, "It's bad, isn't it?"

"um, yes."

"Well, that's war. A lot of people profit from war. Even though a lot of people want the war to end as soon as possible, they are also considering their own interests."

Chucky looked at the Avenger for a moment, "Your homeworld. Sokovia, right? It was ravaged by war, too?"

"Too many times to count," Quicksilver said grimly, walking past her and staring out the window, "all my sister and I have ever known is war and conflict. My hometown…it's been bombed so many times that I've forgotten it."

Chu Qi sighed, took out a glass, poured a little alcoholic drink, and walked over to him and handed him the drink.

"Thank you."

"Isn't that your favorite flavor?"

Quicksilver gave her a smile, "My power has a strange function. It's hard to get a hangover."

"Can't you get drunk?"

"I can try..." Quicksilver shrugged, "I think it might take a few gallons of strong liquor. Believe me, I tried it a long time ago, in several bars, and they banned me for life."

Rio shook his head and smiled, "What happened next?"

Quicksilver scratched his cheek slightly, recalling the past, "After Wanda learned what I had done, she trapped me in the wall for several hours. I was forced to watch her favorite show. It was really torture."

"Watch the show? That can't be that bad, right?"

"If you knew what Wanda likes, you'd understand how painful that is."

"Talk about it."

"Well... for decades, there have been some nostalgic shows on our home planet. She really likes these shows from sixty or seventy years ago. Some of the sitcom heroines are stay-at-home moms, which I find ridiculous. What bothers me even more is that she would recite the lines as the show goes on."

"That sounds cute," Chucky said, chuckling. "I'm curious about your Earth culture. You talk about it all the time in front of me, yet I've never seen any of these movies and shows you talk about."

Quicksilver rubbed his chin and fell into deep thought, "Well, you don't have a satellite here, or..."

His eyes instantly lit up, "But! I do have a collection of movies and shows, wait a minute."

*Woo*

Rio stepped back slightly, looking at Quicksilver who was suddenly running at full speed. The wind created by his sudden running caused Rio Chucky's hair to fly apart.

After a while, she was able to tie it up skillfully. It seemed that this had happened many times before. Chu Qi said to himself, "I'm used to it now."

*Woo*

He’s back again, “Because of the limited conditions, we have to watch it on the small screen.” Quicksilver quickly flips through his collection of movies and shows.

"Wait." Quicksilver seemed to have thought of something and said, "We are still missing some things."

"what?"

"snack."

*Woo*

Thankfully, Chucky's hair stayed intact this time around.

*Woo*

"Is there anything you like?"

"Ok?"

"Snacks, is there anything you like?"

"Uh......"

"Ah, never mind. I'll just take a little of everything."

*Woo*

Then he disappeared again.

*Woo*

Soon, he returned with a basket filled with snacks and other small treats that Quicksilver had bought from nearby shops and vendors.

Quicksilver begins to operate his phone, complaining that the holographic projector is not powerful enough.

"If it's not too much trouble, we can try to connect this device of yours to my system and project it onto the holographic projector."

Quicksilver smiled, "Oh, that's a good idea, but will it work?"

Chu Qi thought about it and said, "I'm not sure, but we can try."

He connected the phone to the control panel of the holographic projector, and to their surprise, it worked.

Sitting on the sofa in the office, Chu Qi felt her body relaxing and she breathed a sigh of relief.

Luckily for her, she had nothing else to do for the rest of the day, as if the universe either wanted her to finally have some time to enjoy herself, or took pity on the lonely woman she was.

What's the movie called? Toy Story? Well, whatever it is, it's fun.

When asking Quicksilver why he has such a childish movie on his device, he says it is one of the few movies he still enjoys to this day. There is no war, no struggle, just peace and happiness.
