Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 121 Research Progress of Ant-Man

During this time, Ant-Man, the Wasp, and War Machine were studying how to find a material in the galaxy that could repair their team's equipment. Fortunately, they have made some progress in this regard.

"I have to admit their periodic table is weird," said the Wasp, looking at a list of elements that are not found "normally" on Earth at her workbench.

"Comrades, I have managed to find several things related to the elements of Earth. There are several metals that I have found that may be useful for integration into your own devices."

"have what?"

"In previous encounters with Grievous and Asajj Ventress and others, their lightsabers would prove extremely deadly if they came into direct contact with your own suits."

"Really?" War Machine said in mock surprise.

"Luckily, Steve's shield was able to block them and he took no damage at all."

"But not everyone has vibranium," said the Wasp.

"So unless we want to melt his shield and use it for our armor, we need to find something else that does a similar job."

"So what did you find, Tap?" the Wasp asked.

Several images appeared on the screen, and Tap said, "The first one is called Cortossian. From what I've been able to gather, it's fibrous and conductive. This metal can temporarily disable a lightsaber upon contact, and if properly integrated into armor, it can also help protect against blaster fire."

Ant-Man said excitedly: "That's so cool."

"Yes. What's next?"

"Next is a metal called Beskar, also known as Mandalorian Iron. It can withstand direct blaster fire and is resilient to lightsaber strikes."

"Where can we find these metals?" the Wasp asked hurriedly.

Tap brings up a map of the galaxy, highlighting a specific region of Cortosian alloy.

"Cortosian alloy is found on dozens of planets across the galaxy, and it is constantly being collected to transform ships, tanks, and other vehicles, especially in this time of war."

It then zoomed in on the galaxy to highlight just the two planets.

"If you try to get Beskar from Mandalore, it's going to be difficult."

"why?"

"From what I downloaded via the holonet, due to the civil war among the Mandalorians, the metal has been restricted by decree issued by their current ruler, Dame Satine. She believes that Beskar alloy has been used in the war and is part of the cause of the war, and must be erased. Currently, there are only two planets that can obtain Beskar, their moon Concordia and the planet Mandalore itself."

"So how do we get these metals?" War Machine asked, crossing his arms in thought. "That Beskar seems a bit difficult."

"So, we either have to find it on the black market or go directly to the source, or if that doesn't work, just rob it," Ant-Man muttered, earning some roll of the eyes from the others.

“I believe it is feasible to buy Cortosis alloy,” Tap said.

Ant-Man suspected that he had heard wrongly and asked, "What? What do you want to buy it with?"

"In recent days, through billiards and Queen's music, we have accumulated a large sum of money with which to buy the Cortosis alloy."

"What about the simulation results, Tap?" asked the Wasp.

"The results show that the Cortosian alloy is highly compatible with your armor."

The three nodded, and Ant-Man said, "The simulation can only go so far. What remains is to figure out the correct proportions so that our weapons can function properly."

Spider-Man was lying in a webbed hammock between two pillars of the Jedi Temple library, absentmindedly reading a book on how to fly and repair starfighters.

He carried a small notebook with him at all times so he could write down this new knowledge and keep himself busy. With all these new forms of technology coming out, he was always busy learning everything he could about the galaxy.

He was so lost in thought that he didn't hear footsteps stop beside him.

"cough cough"

Spider-Man blinked and glanced down to see Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee looking up at him, the former with an amused smile on her face.

"You look...comfortable."

"Of course," Spider-Man said, slouching lazily.

"Ah."

"I could make you one of these spiderweb hammocks if you'd like," he suggested. "You two look like you need it."

“Won’t the silk get on our clothes?” Barris asked.

"I can change their stickiness somehow."

"How long will it last?" Ahsoka asked, reaching out and tugging at the webs tentatively. "I thought you said they would disappear in an hour, and I don't want to be lying down and suddenly fall off."

"I can find a way to adjust it." Spider-Man said, jumping in front of them. He forgot about the notebook on his chest. It fell, but Barris reacted quickly and caught the fallen notebook.

Barris stared at Spider-Man intently for a moment, "Is everything alright, Peter?"

"Ok?"

"You look busy," Barris said as he flipped through his notebook.

"Does it matter?"

Barris closed his eyes and focused, "You seem...troubled. No, worried. Peter, something is weighing on you...guilt..."

Barris looked directly at Spider-Man, who was quite uneasy about Barris' attitude, he felt like he was being stripped naked by the girl across from him.

Ahsoka looked between Barriss and Spider-Man, who was stunned.

"What she's trying to say is..." Ahsoka said, "Is that so, well, she can sense that something is bothering you. You've been here for a few days now, and since we see you so often, she's already noticed."

"Yes, that's right," Barris confirmed. "Peter, what's the problem? Does this have anything to do with us? Or the Temple?"

Spider-Man waved her off frantically.

“No, no, neither,” he said. “I really appreciate it.”

"What is that?" Ahsoka asked curiously.

Spider-Man hesitated for a moment, "I just... missed home. More importantly, I was worried about my aunt, May."

"Your aunt?"

"Yeah." Spider-Man said with longing, "I am everything to her. But now, I don't even know how I got here, and I can't contact her. She must be very worried now."

Both Jedi looked at each other, unsure how to respond.
