It was late at night in Kamar-Taj. Many people were asleep, while others were walking around.

One of them was a librarian who tried to protect the contents of the headquarters library.

He placed the books and scrolls in their proper places for those who might come to them in due time.

Just then he noticed someone nearby.

He sighed instantly, thinking that it was just one of the freshmen who was more or less a bookworm.

"Can I help you?" the librarian asked.

His question went unanswered, and he saw a few more people appear in the room.

A feeling of uneasiness came over him as they all approached, all the more so as some of them quickly fashioned magical whips and bound his limbs.

The librarian screamed in agony as he was hoisted into the air and pulled in all directions.

At this moment, he saw a familiar face in the crowd walking towards him, and one of the prisoners placed a cauldron under him.

"Caecilius? Why?

He received no answer, as the mysterious master drew a sickle dagger and swiftly struck him in the head.

At that moment, in a distant room on Kamar-Taj, the Jedi Shadow woke up, gasping for air.

"No!"

In an instant, her lover beside her rushed up in panic and saw Celeste's pale face.

"Celeste, what's wrong?" he asked with concern.

She climbed out of bed and was dressed in her Jedi clothes and robes in a flash. "We have to go, now!"

Seeing her current state, Bucky complied and quickly put on the necessities in record time. When he was roughly dressed, he rushed out of their room and ran after Celeste.

They hear someone screaming in the distance, which only makes them run faster, and as they run into the Kamar-Taj library, they all see Tao making a portal.

"Ah, Celeste, Mr. Barnes," Tao said kindly. "Please, it would make things a lot easier if you would just follow me."

Neither said anything else as they followed the Sorcerer Supreme through the portal she had summoned.

Where they were going next made Bucky realize where they were.

"London? Why here?

"They ran away without choosing a suitable destination." The Ancient One said. "They need to leave Kamar-Taj."

"Who?" Celeste asked.

The answer was a familiar face, flanked by a dozen men in maroon robes.

"Wait..." Celeste narrowed her eyes. "Caecilius?"

"And his students, apparently."

It was then that Tao summoned something that was quite familiar to many of those present, as it surrounded them all.

Mirror dimensions.

Then the world around them became a kaleidoscope as buildings and the air itself were patterned and replicated dozens of times.

"Hypocrite!" sneered Caecilius.

In an instant, the world around them shifted sideways. Tao and her two allies quickly leaped into the air so that they could land next to an adjacent building, with Caecilius and his attendants following closely behind.

In the middle of the group's jump to the now sideways building, Celeste saw a metal object in one of the students' hands.

She recognized it instantly.

"Master!" Celeste cried. "We must not let the amulet escape! If Mur is reawakened, the plague of the Rak'ak will spread. The entire planet will be threatened!

"I have no intention of allowing such threats to spread unscrupulously in this world. Tao said, raising his hands, and strange symbols appeared around him.

As some acolytes ran towards them, Buggy rushed forward to intercept them.

He quickly grabbed a man's arm and broke it before retrieving their baton-like weapon. The Winter Soldier threw the man aside, who was quickly overwhelmed by the changing circumstances, and began beating some of the zealots with the club.

Tao summoned his spells to fend off two of Caecilius' men. When they ensnared her legs with their magic whips, she dealt with it by pulling them back and falling forward. She then used the opening to jump over them and created ethereal hand fans to knock them down.

Celeste did the same, taking the opportunity to practice some of the magic she had learned while also using her enhanced Force abilities to fight off Kaecilius's fanatical followers.

Although they were outnumbered, the acolytes were outclassed by the combined skills of these three.

Caecilius realized this immediately, for he knew that if he were to engage in battle he would undoubtedly lose.

"Unleash my power if you are to survive." Moore's voice whispered in Caecilius' ear.

Gritting his teeth, Caecilius reached out, a glowing whip shot out of his palm, and grabbed the amulet carried by one of the acolytes, pulling it to his side.

Holding it tightly, Caecilius removed the many shackles he had placed on the golden amulet, as well as many designed to protect him, and pushed it out.

A horrible, putrid gas emanated from the amulet and entered the nearest zealot.

The Acolyte didn't even notice the gas until it fully entered his body and he stopped moving.

He remained in this state for several seconds until he began to twitch and spasm, his expression conveying nothing but absolute agony.

It is at this point that Tao, Bucky, and many of the fanatics are given a front row seat to witness the horror show. Something Celeste still has nightmares about.

The fanatics' bodies writhed rapidly, blood oozing from their eyes, mouths, and ears. Their skin soon began to ooze blood as the pigmentation paled dramatically as the person rapidly mutated.

By the end of his horrific transformation, many had witnessed something that had not existed in the universe for thousands of years.

A rake ghost.

The former acolyte fell to his knees, breathing heavily, and all the combatants stopped and stared at the changed man.

After a minute or two, it roared like a wild animal and charged towards Ancient One and her allies.

The Jedi Shadow quickly entered the Rakki's sight and used the Force to repel him before he could attack.

The transformed zealot stumbled back, trying to put some distance between himself and Celeste.

She smashed her fists against her open palms, and strange symbols appeared around her hands. Morn slowly pulled her fists away from her palms, and from the motion, the strange symbols reshaped and reorganized into a glowing sword. She spun the newly created blade into an overhand grip, and with her free hand, the Jedi Knight called upon the Force.

The Jedi's lightsaber flew into her open palm and quickly ignited as she continued her attack.

The Rak'kki-infected Zealot summoned a domed sphere around himself, and though his shield flickered with weak energy, the two lightsabers were deflected.

“Oh my god,” Celeste said in horror, realizing that the altered human had retained the mysterious knowledge it had acquired.

"Caecilius," Tao called out, and her two companions looked up in time to see the Rogue Master summon a portal for himself and his student to escape.

“Bitch,” Buggy yelled as the portal closed on them and the traitor to the Knights of the Mystic Arts escaped.

"We have more pressing matters at hand."

The transformed Acolyte did not stay in the mirror dimension, but left London.

“What the hell, it can do that?!” Bucky yelled.

"It seems that this beast is more cunning than expected." Tao said as the three of them chased after the fleeing Rak Ghost.

Before it could get close enough to the deformed Zealot, it quickly attacked a nearby civilian. Soon after, chaos ensued, with many people running for their lives.

"No!" Celeste screamed as she saw the Acolyte Rakki bite an unsuspecting man's shoulder.

Soon after the enemy let go of the injured civilian, the man was quickly stricken with the effects of the Rak Ghost Plague. Instead of a time span of several days, it happened in less than a minute.

“Oh, hell. When you told me about this plague, I didn’t realize it was going to turn into a real zombie-like outbreak. Bucky said.

"We have to get this under control," Tao said, throwing a magical summoning disc at the Rakki running from the area.

Although there were only a few rake ghosts, they were jumping from one to the next, whether it was a bite or a scratch, and the plague immediately began to transform.

“Fuck,” Buggy groaned, slamming his metal arm into the Rakki that lunged at him.

He really wished he had some automatic weapon to help in this situation. He only had his arms and his stolen magic staff, something he couldn't really use at all.

Around them, more and more people began to instantly transform into more Rak ghosts, and some people either ran away or attacked them.

“It spreads so fast,” Tao noted with a hint of horror. “Some of these people haven’t been touched by anyone else.

"It can spread just by being near them," Celeste revealed. "Caecilius unknowingly released the plague into the city."

"So what should we do?" Bucky asked in a panic. "Can't we just be affected by this plague?"

Before Celeste could answer, Tao Shuzhen put her hands together, cast a strange hexagonal spell, and quickly threw it in the direction of Barnes and Moon.

The spell quickly engulfed both of them, forming around their bodies before dispelling from them.

"That should keep you largely safe," the Sorcerer Supreme announced. "There are many people fleeing from us right now. Mr. Barnes, if you wish to use that cane, I suggest twisting the top of it counterclockwise.

He looked at the staff in his hand and did as Tao instructed.

Turning the top handle counterclockwise, he shook it slightly and the staff in his hand glowed, becoming a glowing spear before splitting in two.

“Whoa,” Bucky muttered, moving on instinct as he heard something coming at him from behind.

He quickly turned around and stabbed both sharp staffs into the Rakki that tried to jump on him, Buggy's arms stretched out in fear and regret.

The creatures in front of him were rak ghosts that had only completed half of their transformation.

It was a young woman in her teens, her eyes conveying a vicious hunger, but beneath the hunger was an agony that was pleading for help.

"Oh, God," Bucky whispered to himself. He took a moment to look around, and the guilt started to surge as he saw many young people being corrupted and infected by the Rakki Plague.

"Celeste," he called to his love. "Is there no way we can help them?"

Celeste swung her lightsaber and slashed at the chest of a nearby Rakki that lay motionless on the ground.

She looked at Bucky with regret and guilt.

"No," she whispered regretfully.

Bucky gritted his teeth and continued to fight the virus spread by the Sith creatures.
