A few days later

Peter Parker is walking home with an old radio in his hands and headphones on, playing Neil deGrasse Tyson's recording of the wonders of the universe.

Entering his apartment building, Peter ran up the stairs with his keys in his other hand, and when he reached the door, Peter opened it.

"Hey, Aunt May," Peter called to his aunt.

"Hey, honey," Aunt May replied from her seat in the living room, "How was school today?"

Peter Parker shrugged, picked up a muffin from the kitchen, walked to his room, and said, "Nothing interesting, there's a crazy park outside-"

Peter Parker's voice stopped abruptly as he noticed that there were other people in the house besides his aunt.

The man he had just met a few days ago.

His aunt gave him an expectant look, and Tony Stark smiled as he ate the date cake his aunt made.

"Oh, Mr. Parker." Iron Man pretended to have just noticed Peter Parker's arrival.

Peter was a bit speechless now: "Uh... um, hey, I-I'm Peter."

"Tony."

"Uh, what are you doing, what are you doing, what are you doing here?"

Iron Man put the bread down and said, "Well, you got my email, right?" He continued to wink at Peter, which Aunt May didn't notice.

"Yes, yes, about—"

Aunt Mei interrupted, "You didn't tell me about the scholarship?"

Peter Parker said in a panic: "Yes, yes, about the scholarship..."

"September Foundation." Iron Man added, "Do you remember when you applied?"

"...?"

Aunt Mei looked a little frustrated, and said sadly, "You didn't tell me anything, what's going on?"

Peter Parker said in a panic, "Well, I know you like surprises, so I just wanted to give you a surprise."

"Yes, Peter just wanted to give you a surprise." Iron Man said, "Can I talk to Peter alone?"

Aunt May became happy again after hearing Peter's explanation, and said with a smile, "Of course." While giving Peter and Tony a bright smile, she stood up to clean the table. Tony motioned to Peter to take them to a more private place.

Peter felt his palms getting a little sweaty, and then took the billionaire to his small room.

After closing the door, Iron Man locked it and looked around Peter's room, landing on the teenager's desk, "Wow, what's here? Retro tech, huh? Thrift store?"

"Uh, uh, actually they are all useless things."

Iron Man said calmly: "That's right."

Peter Parker: "..."

Iron Man crossed his arms, waiting for Peter to say something, because he was obviously thinking about something.

"Look, I know I didn't apply for anything—"

Iron Man interrupted him, "We didn't end our conversation on that rooftop yesterday."

Peter Parker paled visibly and swallowed nervously.

"Spider-Man," Tony said, tentatively calling the name again, "Not many people like Spider, but you make it positive."

"Spider-Man?" Peter Parker tried to play it off. "Eh—what are you talking about? Who is this Spider-Man you're talking about? The guy on YouTube?"

Iron Man was stunned for a moment, then said with a half-smile: "Well, yes, he feels a bit strange, a bit like those UFOs over Phoenix."

Iron Man said as he walked to the side, the young boy stammered in denial as he picked up a broom and pushed away a piece of ceiling that was clearly different from the others, as the ceiling was pushed away a bundle of red and blue stuff fell out and Peter Parker rushed over to pick it up.

Iron Man once again asked knowingly: "Spider-Man."

Peter sighed, "You know I had a great day, Mr. Stark. Didn't miss the tram and did really well on my exams."

Iron Man picked up the boy's homemade tights and asked, "Does anyone else know?"

"No."

"Even your Aunt May..."

"No, no, no, no." Peter Parker said quickly, "If she knew, she would be scared. When she is scared, I will be scared, and then..."

Peter didn't finish his sentence.

Iron Man put the mask's goggles up to his eyes and asked, "Can you see clearly with this thing on?"

Peter snatched his suit back with a hint of annoyance and said unhappily, "Yes, I can. I have very sharp senses. The goggles just help me focus."

"Hmm. What about your ribbon? Who helped you make something so tough?"

"I did it."

"How do you cling to various buildings? How do you do it? Sticky gloves?"

"Controlling the forces of atomic interactions at molecular boundaries through mental control."

Iron Man nodded and stared at Peter's suit. "If your suit is upgraded, it will become more perfect. But the premise is that I want to know why you want to do this?"

"What do you mean?"

"I need to know, what is your purpose?"

Peter Parker didn't know what to say, causing him to stutter, "Because... I've been me my whole life, and I've had these powers for seven months."

Iron Man nodded, motioning for Peter to continue.

"I read books and studied computers. I thought about playing football, but unfortunately, I wasn't cut out for it."

"Of course, because you are different."

"That's right. But I can't tell anyone." After a pause, Peter recalled that he had caused the death of Uncle Ben. His face was full of regret and grief. He murmured: "When something bad happens, and they happen because of you, you..."

A silence fell between the two, and Iron Man understood what Peter Parker said. He also thought back to his time in Afghanistan, where he was taken away by the Ten Rings and escaped... Years later, he created Ultron... and as a result, his own actions almost destroyed humanity on Earth.

Breaking the silence, Iron Man spoke up: "So you want to do your part to make the world a better place, huh?"

"Yes Yes."

Iron Man looked at the young superhero.

Strangely enough, Peter Parker actually reminds him of both himself and Captain America, and the color pattern on his suit may be a combination of his signature red and Captain America's fiery blue.

The billionaire sat on the cot in Spider-Man's tiny room, patted Peter on the shoulder, and asked, "So, ever leave Queens?"

"Uh......"

Iron Man then said, "Now, you should know why I'm here. How about joining the Avengers?"

Spider-Man Peter Parker nodded seriously and firmly.
