After showing his police badge, Richard said to the staff at the service desk: "Hello, I'm Detective Long, and I'd like to find Ms. Mary Read."

"Please wait a moment." The staff member picked up the phone and said a few words. Then he said to Richard: "Ms. Reid will be here soon. You can wait in the rest area."

Richard nodded, and he and Todd walked to the rest area.

Here, sitting alone is a man wearing sunglasses and holding a guide stick.

Richard looked around, and out of professional habit he stepped forward to greet him.

"Sir, do you need any help?"

"Thank you, Mr. Police, I don't need any help."

Richard frowned.

"How do you know I'm from the police? I mean, you can see with your eyes"

"I'm blind, there's nothing to hide from that."

interesting.

Richard held out his hand and said, "Hello, my name is Richard Long, and I am a police officer."

The blind man took Richard's outstretched hand.

"My name is Matt Murdoch, a trainee solicitor."

"Ah ha, the secret is revealed. Why are you pretending to be blind?"

Matt smiled and said, "I'm not pretending, and I'm not lying to you."

Richard wanted to say something else, but was stopped by Todd on the side.

"Rick, that's it. He doesn't need help, that's enough."

Richard nodded and sat on the sofa. He still looked at Matt curiously. The feeling of shaking hands just now was strange. The calluses on Matt's hands were too thick.

After a while, a group of people walked out of the elevator. Among them, a woman walked towards the service desk, and a slightly fat man walked directly to Matt.

"Foggy, you're too slow." Matt stood up and said to the man walking towards him.

"I wasted some time looking for information, let's go."

Foggy supported Matt, and the two of them walked toward the door.

Looking at Matt and Foggy walking towards the door, Richard always felt something was strange, but he couldn't explain it.

The lady who had just walked to the service desk came to Richard and Todd.

"Mr. Detective, I don't know what you want from me."

Looking at the lady in front of him, Richard was stunned for a moment, and then he hurriedly asked: "Are you Ms. Mary Read?"

"Yes, what's wrong"

"Do you have any other Mary Read here? We are looking for a woman with brown hair, a wide jaw, and big eyes." Richard said while gesturing.

"The one you are talking about is my sister Karen. I think you must have made a mistake. We are fraternal twins."

Richard was stunned for a moment because the Mary in front of him looked nothing like Karen on the hospital bed. Blonde hair, oval face, not even remotely like Karen.

Richard opened his mouth, but he really didn't know what he could say.

"Sorry, maybe we made a mistake and disturbed you." Todd apologized to Mary and pulled Richard out of the law office.

Richard sat in the passenger seat and sighed, and Todd's half-smiling expression made Richard even more angry.

"Todd, please say what you have to say, don't hold it in and get sick."

Todd exhaled slowly, and he pretended to answer Richard seriously.

"Rick, it's nothing. At least you discovered it." Todd couldn't hold it anymore, but he still laughed. Todd laughed and said, "Sorry, Rick, it's too funny."

"Laugh, laugh. But I still think Calderon didn't kill anyone."

Todd shrugged and didn't respond to Richard.

Back at the police station, the results of the search team came out. No murder weapon was found in the homes of Calderon and the deceased Michael, but this actually doesn't mean anything.

Richard was a little upset sitting at his desk. His heart told him that he was right, but now all the evidence was pointing to Calderon, especially after Calderon lied.

Why did Calderon identify countless people all over New York and Calderon?
