[HP Doujin] take care of you

Chapter 25 Every beginning is the end of another story

2002. 5, 17

The red wine in her mouth was sweet, too sweet. But she'd only had two, and Ginny found she couldn't finish it until the third or fourth. She looked around the ballroom, looking for the man who had been ignoring her all night.

Her eyes fell on the bride and groom. They were dancing in the middle of the ballroom, whispering, oblivious to everything around them.Ron seriously tried to help Hermione down, but she laughed and pushed his arm.Ginny giggled into her glass, looking away from the happy couple.

Ron and Hermione decided to have their wedding in the spring, with the ceremony outside, and then a light rain fell, and they moved the reception into the ballroom, and Ginny had to admit, the wedding was like a fairytale, and Hermione had always had that feeling. A dream, but never asked for.All the relatives and friends came and filled the ballroom.Unlimited wine and champagne are served to the adults, and children are passed between the laps of drunken parents. The engagement ceremony took place at Harry and Ginny...

At this moment, Ginny saw Neville, who was staring at his female companion Luna.Luna wore an exaggerated dress with fruit embellished on the hem.Ginny didn't know why, and didn't want to know.Fred and Angelina dance beside them.Fred, in a turquoise gown, made several laps with Angelina, whose puffy skirt nearly tipped off a Weasley relative.

She took another swig of her wine and continued to look at the ballroom.A potbellied Tonks was rubbing her stomach on the edge of the dance floor, chatting with Ginny's mother.Ginny naturally went looking for Remus or Teddy, but didn't see them.Fleur and Pansy were chatting next to Tonks and her mother.

Harry stood beside Fleur and Pansy. He was drinking and his hair was still messy, but his eyes were shining as he listened to Fleur and Pansy talking.Harry looked happy and relaxed, his Auror work keeping him fit and healthy. She'd heard from Ron about his latest adventure, and she couldn't believe he was still willing to put himself in that danger.Ginny missed him telling her stories.

But now he has someone else.

She cleared her throat at the same time as the other.

"You look a bit out of place, don't you?"

Ginny turned and raised her eyebrows at Remus who had sneaked up to her, drunk. His hair was a mess, and his waistcoat seemed to be unbuttoned and then buttoned up indiscriminately. His cheeks were flushed, damn it, he exuded—

"Whiskey?" Remus suggested, taking a seat next to her.

Ginny raised her nearly empty glass and looked at her friend.

"Have you been drinking with Sirius?" Ginny didn't know why she asked.

During the wedding, she saw Sirius sitting next to Remus and Tonks. After the reception started, Sirius grabbed Harry and Ron, and the four men walked straight to the bar.Ron and Harry managed to escape, with their girlfriends stepping in as rescuers, but Tonks seemed to enjoy seeing Remus drunk enough to leave him with Sirius.Sirius hadn't greeted her yet.

Ginny took her last sip of wine and poured herself another glass.

"Yes." Remus mumbled, resting his elbows on the table, watching her drunkenly. "I wish you'd come with us."

She smiled and stretched out her hand, brushing the hair from his face.

"Oh, really?"

Remus nodded and took a sip of whiskey, which nearly sprayed all over the pants he was wearing. He cursed and didn't wipe his pants.

"You know what," Remus continued, "you're both ridiculous."

Ginny glanced at Harry, who was holding Pansy from behind, and then at Remus.

"Who?"

She drank some wine and began to look around the ballroom again.Where is Sirius? How could he keep avoiding her like this? She had to admit that she hadn't made any effort to find him either, but he had stopped writing to her first. After Harry and Ginny broke up, she didn't get the letter. She knew that Sirius had a deeper relationship with the Reticent Man, as did his relationship with Anna, but she wanted news from him, any news.

But there was no news of him. This was almost a year ago.She wrote him two letters, but got no reply. She is very sad.Not only had she lost Harry, she had also lost Sirius.Although she was dejected, she also woke up.Ginny had always depended on the two boys, and now she felt like she could breathe without them... as long as she didn't think about them.

"You know what, he loves you."

Ginny looked at Remus in confusion.

"what are you saying?"

Remus shrugged and leaned heavily on the table, barely supporting himself.

"I said it once! I said it twice! I said it a million times!"

He sat up straight and raised his arms in the air.

"L is the way you see him! O is the only one in your eyes! V is the very, very—"

"My goodness."

Tonks staggered towards Remus, laughing out loud.Seeing Tonks, he stopped, got up from his chair, and almost fell.

"I should have stayed with you," Tonks said regretfully, supporting Remus who was leaning against her. "How are you, Ginny?"

Ginny smiled at Tonks.

"I'm fine," she replied. "Good luck."

Remus made a face at Ginny, and she and Tonks giggled.

"When Sirius said Remus was happy to be alone at the bar, I knew I should cut him off."

When Sirius was mentioned, Ginny straightened her body and looked towards the dance floor involuntarily. He is still missing. She looked back at Tonks, who was still laughing at Remus.

"Where's Sirius?" Ginny tried to look casual.

"Wen Wen!"

Ginny put down her glass and turned to see Teddy with a big smile on her face.He stretched out his arms and ran toward her, grinning, his hair an odd green today. She stood up, hugged Teddy tightly in her arms, and took a good look at him.

"How's my boy?" Ginny tickled him.

Teddy wriggled and blushed from laughing.Ginny smiled and put him on the ground, and he ran towards Tonks and Remus.Remus smirked and bent over, rubbing Teddy's hair.

"Hello everyone."

Sirius' voice didn't have the effect of sobering up.Ginny felt dizzy from all the alcohol rushing up.She turned around and met Sirius' eyes.He was holding an empty wine glass, and his eyes were a little blurred, but his expression was very happy. He was like a little boy on Christmas morning.Ginny narrowed her eyes.

He was still handsome, with his tie loose and his white shirt untucked. He looked like he was back at Hogwarts again, having just finished a day of classes.

She was suddenly so angry, she wanted to hit him, hit him on the head with her cup, make his stupid smile go away, because he kept ignoring her at her brother's wedding and reception, but because of other People are drunk and want to talk to her now?Ginny turned her back on him, ready to pretend to continue chatting with Tonks, only to find that the Lupines had left, and it was just her and Sirius. She folded her arms across her chest and a horrible flush rushed up her neck.

But Sirius ignored her anger and walked into her sight again. He kept his hands behind his back, and she thought of him in school again, not doing good things.

"What are you going to do?"

Her unfriendly tone made him pouted, and he took another step towards her.

"You look beautiful tonight," Sirius told her.

Ginny looked around, afraid that someone might overhear. He was obviously too drunk to care that he was flirting with his godson's ex-girlfriend.But no one nearby heard him.Everyone was laughing and dancing, all indifferent to what was going on around them. She didn't even see Harry.Probably somewhere in the ballroom with Pansy.

She looked at Sirius again, and was relieved to find that although there were many people around them, they were actually alone.

"You don't write to me anymore."

She wanted to say this to him.Ginny needed to know why he did it, why he had voluntarily abandoned their friendship when she needed him most. There were times when she thought he had abandoned her too easily, after the Veil, after the Battle of Hogwarts, and now.

Sirius lowered his gaze, then collected himself.

"I'm sorry." He said to her sincerely. "But you know why I do it."

"I don't know." Ginny narrowed her eyes again. "You left me when I needed you."

"Oh, you don't need me, Ginny," Sirius called, waving his hands. "You're exaggerating."

Ginny was dumbfounded.

"You didn't even tell me that you broke up with Harry because of me. Do you really think I'll write to you? What do you want me to do? Stab my godson in the back again?"

"I thought you'd have the courage to say something to me - even 'Hello, I can't write anymore because I'm a coward!'" Ginny hissed, pounding Sirius' chest. "And don't blame it on Harry, it's none of his business. You don't write to me anymore. It's none of his business."

Sirius blushed and narrowed his eyes.

"I was with Anna, Ginny," Sirius told her. "I won't hurt her."

"What are you talking about? I'm talking about writing a letter. We're talking about normal things in the letter. How can we—"

"Do you really think that if you're no longer with Harry and you and I start writing again, nothing will happen between us? We'll just be friends?"

Ginny couldn't believe what Sirius had said to her.Yes, she'd been looking for him at the wedding, but she didn't know they'd talk about it when they finally met.Saying these words at Ron's wedding! She looked around again, but still no one noticed them.Their voices were not as loud as she had imagined.

"I cherish our friendship, and I thought you would too," she said softly, wringing her hands.

"Oh, Ginny," Sirius moaned, rubbing his face. "Of course I do—I still do. But I know...I know us. I know you, and you know me...I can't do that to Anna. After you and Harry break up, I can't rely on you, I need You adjust yourself... I need to know that Harry would like me to talk to you, at first he wouldn't. I won't push him in this matter, Ginny, he's my godson. He's James' son, I Can't lose him. I don't want to lose you either, but... I know he'll accept it later, and I hope he'll accept—"

"What? He accepts it now?" exclaimed Ginny, rolling her eyes. "He'll never take it."

"Like you're never going to fully accept him and Pansy, are you? How upset are you when you two start dating after only a few months?"
