When Ginny and Tristan arrived, St. Mungo's was packed, as usual. She waved to the guiding witch, who just nodded at her, and then looked at a wizard with ears on his nose.Tristan loves coming to St. Mungo's and he often says the reception area is his favorite place to be.He grabbed Ginny's wrist, and they made their way through the crowd, toward the elevator.

"Can you press the fourth floor for us?" Tristan asked an old witch.

"Fourth floor, the spell hurts, huh?" the witch murmured.

Tristan nodded. The witch looked at Tristan, then pressed the button.Ginny felt her son leaning against her as the elevator went up.Several wizards and wizards got off the elevator on the first floor, and Tristan looked up at Ginny.

"Why is the room on the fourth floor, Mom?"

The elevator suddenly went up again. When they reached the second floor, the old witch and another person left the elevator.Ginny squeezed her son's shoulder.

"There's a therapist who specializes in his condition," Ginny replied.

Tristan pondered what she had said and grimaced. The elevator quickly reached the third floor, and almost everyone went down.

"Is he going to be all right, Mom?"

Ginny opened her mouth to answer, but didn't know what she was going to say. At this moment, a familiar face walked into the elevator.

"Ginny! Tristan! I didn't expect to see you here today!"

George's longtime girlfriend Hannah Abbott was delighted to see the mother and son.Ginny stepped forward and hugged Hannah, Hannah kissed Ginny on the cheek, hugged her tightly, and then let go of her.The elevator doors closed behind her.

"I didn't expect you to come. You have to take care of so many children today." Hannah continued, pinching Tristan's face.

He grimaced and pushed her hand away.

"If I hadn't had a four o'clock morning shift and had to work twelve hours straight, I'd love to babysit these little rascals." Hannah sighed. "But I'm so excited about Harry's party tonight. I'm so excited to see you all."

Ginny smiled.

"Well, it'll be fun."

"How did you—" The elevator stopped on the fourth floor, and three people came out. "—to get rid of all the kids? I'm sure Sirius will be delighted to see you, and—"

"Miss Abbott! This way, please!" a wizard called from the other end of the corridor. "we need you!"

Hannah nodded to the wizard, then looked back at Ginny and Tristan. She pointed to the familiar door at the end of the corridor.Ginny's stomach churned when she saw the door closed.

"I'm sure it will be a surprise," Hannah said. "Still the same room. See you tonight, Tristan, Ginny."

Ginny and Tristan watched Hannah go away, then exchanged glances.Tristan raised his eyebrows and shrugged resignedly.

"No wonder Uncle George hasn't married that man yet," said Tristan.

Ginny couldn't help but laugh at Tristan's words.Tristan laughed too.

"She's crazy," he continued.

"Okay, stop talking," Ginny said with a smile, and they continued walking down the corridor. "To be with Uncle George or Uncle Fred, you'd have to be crazy too, don't you think?"

"But Aunt Angie isn't as crazy as she is," Tristan pointed out.

"That's because you've never been on a Quidditch team with her."

Tristan's eyes widened.

"Have you stayed?"

Ginny shook her head.

"No, but Uncle Fred, Uncle George, and Uncle Harry were all on the team with her at Hogwarts."

They finally reached the door.Ginny felt tense, and she took a deep breath.Tristan looked up at his mother and saw the worry on her face, the tight lips and quickened breathing. He knew he had something important to come to St. Mungo's today.Tristan took her hand and pushed the door open.

The first person they saw was Sirius. He turned from his seat, his gray eyes vacant, until he could see who it was.

Ginny struggled to her feet, staring at Sirius lying unconscious on the ground next to Harry and Remus.Severus was already at his side, taking off his cloak quickly and reaching into his pockets.Harry lifted Sirius' head and spoke to him while Remus checked his pulse.

"Is he breathing?" Ginny asked, but no one heard her question. "Remus, Remus, is he breathing? Is he alive?"

Remus looked at Ginny, who was kneeling beside him.She reached out and took Sirius' hand. His hands were cold, she was startled and almost let go.

"Severus? Harry? Is he all right?"

Severus didn't look up at her, but took a small bottle from his pocket. He uncorked the bottle and told Harry to open Sirius' mouth.Harry did as he did, opening his godfather's mouth easily.Ginny watched as Severus poured the steaming potion into Sirius' mouth, trying to keep his breath steady.Sirius looked dead; he was motionless.

The thought made her hair stand cold.

"Sirius?" she said softly.

no respond.Severus lifted one of Sirius' eyelids.Everyone could only see the whites of Sirius' eyes.Harry frowned and looked away.Remus made a sound in his throat, closed his eyes tightly, and reached out to hug Ginny. She shook her head.

"Severus, he's not dead. He's not dead, can he, he can't be, can he?"

"He's breathing," Severus confirmed. "He's still alive."

"Will he be all right? Will he wake up? Will he still be himself? Severus—"

"The potion takes a while to take effect. I can't answer your question, Stiles. We can only hope." Severus scoffed at his own words. "I suppose he entered the Veil again?"

Ginny turned to Harry, who was as surprised as she was.

"Yes." Harry said slowly. "At least... I think so."

Severus frowned.

"What the hell does that mean, Potter?"

Remus opened his eyes, looking confused too.He let go of Ginny and put his hands to his head.

"We didn't see him enter the Veil. We just knew he did," Remus said.

"I don't understand you," Severus said simply. "Did he enter the veil and come out again?"

Neither Remus, Harry nor Ginny could answer. She tried to remember what happened before she woke up and saw Severus, but found that her memory was inexplicably blank.

"I have no idea--"

A gasp stopped Ginny's words.Sirius suddenly opened his eyes vigilantly. His breathing became heavy and he tried to sit up, but Severus held him down with a strong hand and pushed him back to the ground.

"Sirius!" Harry yelled, cupping Sirius' face in his hands.

Sirius looked at him and opened his mouth as if to speak, but no sound came out.

"Sirius, do you remember me?"

Remus, Severus, Harry, and Ginny seemed to hold their breath, waiting for Sirius' answer.Ginny felt that she couldn't help it, and was about to speak, only to find Sirius smiling. It was the brightest, most beautiful smile she had ever seen.

"Of course I do," Sirius said hoarsely. "Harry."

Sirius reached out and stroked Harry's cheek.Severus stood up, a tear fell from Harry's eye.

"You can't do this to us again," Harry murmured.

Sirius turned his head to look at his good friend.

"Remus," he said, the wolf grin forming on his lips again.

Remus forced a smile, clutching his shoulders tightly.Sirius looked at Ginny. They looked at each other for a long time, and she felt as if it took a few days, years, or even a lifetime before he moved. He looked into her eyes and struggled to sit up, Sirius groaned in pain as Remus supported him in concern. Then, finally, they were face to face, breathing at the same rate, and Ginny knew that everything was alright.

"Hello, baby," Sirius said softly to her.
