[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 104 Little Hangleton

Eleanor Alford of Little Hangleton turns 17 today.

Uncle Tim made a very big lunch for her birthday. After lunch, Eleanor began to unwrap the presents that Uncle Tim had given her.

She was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a very beautiful blue dress, so she excitedly gave Uncle Tim a hug, "Thank you, Uncle Tim! I absolutely love this dress!"

"Why don't you put it on now, dear?" said Uncle Tim, smiling.

"Of course, I'll put it on now!" Eleanor said happily, then turned around and ran back to the bedroom.

A few minutes later, she stepped out in that dress. The skirt perfectly complemented the girl's mature figure, and her skin looked much fairer.

"Oh, look at our little beauty." Uncle Tim joked, smoking a pipe.

Eleanor giggled and turned around in a circle, the skirt bloomed like a flower.

She has all the capital of a girl of this age-young, beautiful, and her life has just begun.

Uncle Tim smoked his pipe and looked at his beloved niece with relief.

In the afternoon, Eleanor planned to go for a walk in her new dress. She wanted others to see her new dress too, out of little-girl show-off.

"Don't come back too late," Uncle Tim reminded.

"I'll be back before dinner!" Eleanor waved her hand, lifted her skirt and trotted briskly away from the yard.

Uncle Tim looked at Eleanor's back and sighed helplessly, thinking that his niece would never be a real lady.

But that's all right, he told himself, there's nothing wrong with being lively.

"I'll make your favorite cookies for dinner!" he called after Eleanor.

Eleanor grinned, waved her hand, and disappeared behind the fence.

She visited first the neighbor couple, then her friends Ramona and York, and at last she followed the path near the Little Hangleton boundary.

"I shouldn't have gone far," she thought, "because I have to be back before dinner."

Just when she was about to turn around and leave, she was suddenly attracted by a figure on the path ahead.

Judging from the back view, it was a strange black-haired man.He was striding in the direction of the cemetery.

Few outsiders came to Little Hangleton, so Eleanor couldn't help being curious about him.So she followed cautiously.

The young man stopped suddenly, looking down at the brand new tombstone. There is buried the Riddle family who died a few days ago.

Eleanor suddenly recognized the young man.She had seen him on the day Riddle was murdered, when he was wearing a hood, standing in the direction of the Riddle House as he passed by looking up.

When she walked to the side of the man, the man suddenly lowered his head, leaving only the outline of the lower half of his face. But Eleanor could still feel the sharp vision projected from under the hood.

"Lost, sir? Is there anything I can do for you?" Eleanor asked tentatively.

"Not yet." The other party replied in a low voice, but still stared at her intently.

Eleanor shrugged and was about to turn around and leave, but she heard the other party ask, "What's your name?"

"My name is Alford." Although a little confused, Eleanor replied, "What about you?"

The other party did not answer, but slowly raised his hand and took off his hood.

After seeing his appearance clearly, Eleanor couldn't help being surprised. He looked almost exactly like old Tom Riddle who lived on the hillside.

"You look surprised," he said softly.

"Yes, you look like someone I know," Eleanor replied.

She originally thought that the other party would ask her who she resembled, but the other party chuckled lightly, "Yes, you also look very similar to someone I know."

"Really?" Eleanor frowned.

The other party was silent again, and he slowly moved his eyes away from her face. After a last glance at the house on the hillside, he put on the hood again and strode forward.

"Goodbye, Eleanor," he whispered as he passed her.

Eleanor stared at his back in surprise, and swore she'd never told him that name.

Eleanor never saw the impressively eccentric traveler again—until today.

"There must be something wrong with him. Maybe the murder at the Riddle House has something to do with him." Eleanor murmured to herself, while secretly imagining her idol——Detective Philip Marlowe in such a situation. what will happen when

"I'm going to sneak up on him first and see what he's up to," she finally said to herself.

After a few minutes, the young man left the cemetery. He began to stride beyond the boundaries of Little Hangleton.

"Oh, that's not good," she thought. "Is he leaving now?"

But instead of taking the main road that left the village, he turned into a dirt road with potholes. This road leads to a bush.

The adults in the village usually teach their children not to go into the woods casually.

Eleanor knew what was there. There lived the eccentric and dark Gaunt family. They were a haunted family, like the rest of the village, and Eleanor didn't like them at all.

The family was said to be dangerous, there were rumors that they made soup with toads and children's flesh, and that they were evil wizards.

Just as Eleanor was secretly wondering what the young man was going to do there, the other party suddenly stopped.

The old house of the Gaunt family was not far ahead, and Eleanor could vaguely see it through the gap between the trees.

At this moment, the young man suddenly turned around, holding a weird stick in his hand.

"Come out." He said coldly.

She was found.Eleanor thought in panic. Then she calmed down quickly. What if he found out?To whip her with that stick?

Just when she was about to come out from behind the tree, a voice suddenly sounded from in front of her.

"You're here again." The voice was hoarse and disgusting, as if there was phlegm in his throat.

"Yes, here I am again." The young man said coldly.

Then, under Eleanor's surprised eyes, a man in a strange black robe came out from behind a tree.

She swore there was no one behind that tree just a second ago.

"What else do you want?" the man asked with a sneer, "You got what you wanted from me last time, didn't you?"

"Yes, thank you for telling me that my father is actually a stupid and conceited Muggle." The young man snorted softly, "but I didn't find the locket from his house, you lied to me."

"I didn't say he had it for sure. I just said it might be in his place."

"Maybe I can get you to tell the truth some other way."

"Don't get carried away, boy." The man spat, "That locket was stolen many years ago, how do I know where the hell it is now? Maybe it was sold by my dear sister long ago. "

The young man was silent for a while, "Anyway, I am here for other things this time."

He slowly took something out of his pocket, and Eleanor ventured a little to see that it was a ring.

"How much do you really know about this stuff?"

"What's that?" The man narrowed his eyes and asked, "Wait a minute, that thing is—"

"As you can see," the young man held up the ring, "this is Peverell's ring."

"No, it's impossible, yours is fake."

The young man raised his eyebrows, "Unfortunately, I'm sure this is true."

The man laughed contemptuously, "That's stupid." He raised his hand, "See, kid? I'm the real one."

He also wore a ring on his hand, which seemed to be exactly the same as the young man's.

The young man frowned and stared at the ring on his finger.

"This is something that our family has passed down from generation to generation. It is completely different from your fake." The man sneered, "Then, if there is nothing else, you can get out."

"Other things, of course," said the young man softly, and raised his wand.

The man quickly pulled out a stick, which looked similar to the young man's, only shorter.

Afterwards, Eleanor saw a flash of red light, and the man immediately screamed in pain and fell to the ground.

"Damn it, what the hell was that just now?" she muttered in a low voice.

Immediately afterwards, she saw the young man striding towards the man with no expression on his face.

Blocked by a tree, Eleanor could not see what had become of the fallen man.

After doing all this, the young man strode towards Eleanor.

"Oh, no." Eleanor hurriedly took a step aside, trying to hide herself behind the tree.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the young man striding towards the outside of the woods.Eleanor couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

After she confirmed that the young man was gone, she cautiously came to the man.

The man was unconscious and reeked of alcohol.Eleanor could not help noticing that the ring was missing from his finger.

"Wake up." Eleanor patted his cheek, but the other party was still unconscious.

Maybe she should go back to the village and find someone to help. She thought, but this guy doesn't look like a nice guy either, maybe she should just leave him alone.

Just then, she heard a voice behind her.

"I knew I'd see you again, Eleanor."

Eleanor stood up abruptly, staring at the young man behind her in surprise, "What? I just saw..."

"A simple spell." The young man said calmly. His deep black eyes were gazing into Eleanor's face again, as they had last seen on the path.

Eleanor always felt that there was something hidden in his eyes, anyway, she didn't like being stared at like this.

"What is a spell?" Eleanor asked with a frown.

"You will know." The young man replied indifferently. He suddenly fell silent, his eyes still resting on Eleanor's face for a long time.

For some reason, Eleanor suddenly felt a little uneasy. She always felt that there was something dangerous about this boy who looked about her own age, and her intuition told her that she should leave.

But the young man suddenly said, "Do you still remember when I said that you resemble someone I know?"

"Yes, I remember," said Eleanor, swallowing. "Look, I'd love to talk to you, but I have to get home before dark. Uncle Tim will be worried about me. So, back See……"

"No." The young man interrupted her abruptly, and he suddenly raised that strange stick again, pointing in Eleanor's direction.

"Uh... what are you doing?" Eleanor asked with a frown, looking warily at the stick in his hand.

"But, you are not her." The young man said slowly and word by word.

"Uh, okay, but I really have to go." Eleanor said quickly.

"You are not her." The young man repeated again, this time his voice seemed to tremble slightly, "but you can bring her back, only you can do it."

"I do not understand what you mean."

"You'll understand," he said hoarsely. At this time, he suddenly cursed in a low voice, and then said loudly: "Avada Kedavra!"

A dazzling green light flashed.

"What..." Eleanor fell to the ground before she could finish the word.

The young man didn't even look at the girl who fell on the ground, but walked straight past her.He stepped over a poisonous snake that had just been killed by the Avada Kedavra to the side of the lying man, and kicked the wand out of his hand.

"I'll kill you, boy!" the man gasped.

"Pretend to be unconscious? It's a good attempt. You should be glad that you just used the Stunning Spell." The young man said indifferently, "Otherwise, the spell I just used was not aimed at the sneak attacking snake, but at you. "

"What do you want to do?" The man glared at him fiercely.

"So what if I tell you, Morfin?" A mocking smile curled up on the corner of the young man's mouth, "You'll forget about these things later."

"I'll kill you!" cried Morfin.

"Really? From Azkaban?" The young man sneered, "Yes, that's right. People from the Ministry of Magic have noticed the strange murder two days ago."

Morfin froze for a moment, "It was you—you told the people in the Ministry of Magic, brat! Yes, I killed the Riddles because I found out that his bastards came to my house to mess around. And, I'm going to kill you! I'm going to take your heart out of your throat—"

Then he suddenly roared angrily with a hissing voice.

Just then, the young man's wand shone with a blinding light.Morfin soon lost consciousness completely.

Afterwards, the young man walked to Eleanor's side.He knelt down and picked the girl up from the ground, not paying attention to the dirt on his clothes.

A few seconds later, with a loud explosion, both the young man and the girl were gone.
