The Comprehensive Evolution of American Comics
#254 - Unpredictable craniotomy
When everyone arrived, the scene could only be described as a complete mess. Cars were overturned everywhere, and the walls of several tall buildings were shattered, looking precarious and dangerous.
People screamed in panic, and the main road was in chaos. No one knew if this kind of crisis would befall them, pushing and shoving those around them, desperately trying to get away from the scene.
And the instigator of all this stood brazenly on the ground, as if waiting for someone.
"At least we don't have to look for the culprit this time," Miles said. "Let's finish this quickly and go back."
"Don't be careless, Miles," Ultimate Peter warned. He had a very dangerous feeling about the person in front of him.
"The surrounding buildings are about to collapse," Yang Le said, looking at the crumbling structures. "I'll handle the buildings; you guys take care of that person."
Everyone agreed. Penny, following Yang Le's instructions, placed him near the buildings. That's right, because the Clock King's mobility wasn't great, Yang Le had been carried over by these spiders.
"Thank you for riding with us," Penny's playful voice came from the mech, and the mech's LCD screen displayed a corresponding emoticon. Then, it joined the main group to besiege the enemy.
Yang Le didn't waste any time and immediately began repairing the buildings. These shattered buildings were indeed dangerous. Before Yang Le could use his powers, a building broke in half and fell to the ground, crashing towards the fleeing crowd.
Some passersby noticed the shadow above their heads. They only glanced back before their hearts were filled with terror. Some even lost the courage to run.
Whether crushed by feet or buried under rubble, the end result would be the same: minced meat. Seeing the feet of others about to step on them, those who had lost the will to live began to give up.
Just before they closed their eyes to await death, a gentle white light rapidly spread and passed through their bodies, and then everything stopped.
Not only the running crowd, but even the collapsing buildings were frozen in mid-air. Dust, debris, and various objects were as still as if someone had pressed the pause button.
Just as people were wondering if they were dreaming, the collapsing buildings began to rewind at an even faster speed, restoring themselves as if by movie magic, as if the collapse had just been a nightmare.
Then people discovered that it wasn't just that one building; the other destroyed buildings were also being restored. Cars, roads, trees on the street—everything visible was rewinding, returning to its original state.
If the Spider-Men fighting in the distance weren't still there, everyone would have thought they were hallucinating.
Having done all this, Yang Le nodded with satisfaction and clapped his hands as if to dust them off. He had taken care of his part and should check on the status of Gwen and the others.
"It's almost over there too," Ghost-Spider appeared from who knows where. She was holding a bucket of popcorn and sitting on a roadside phone booth, with a cup of cola beside her.
Just as Ghost-Spider said, under the Spider-Men's siege, the enemy's armor was already in tatters. He could only rely on the remaining weaponry to eke out a living like a rabid dog.
"Truly shocking," Ghost-Spider said, her words slurred. "I thought they were sure to lose. To think that even a Skrull symbiote has such a significant restraint against these technological creations."
"Tomorrow Child?" Yang Le accurately captured the key information in Ghost-Spider's words. If he remembered correctly, there was only one famous figure in Marvel associated with that name: Mister Fantastic of the Ultimate Universe—Reed Richards, also known as the villainous 'Brain-ripper'.
Unlike the Mister Fantastic of other universes, the Reed of the Ultimate Universe was a very tragic person. The Reed of the Ultimate Universe, like Spider-Man Peter at the beginning, could be called the conscience of the Ultimate Universe. After all, the pile of garbage in the Ultimate Universe forced such a pure person into a madman feared by everyone in the multiverse.
Here, I must mention Nick Fury of the Ultimate Universe. Unlike the comedian in the movie universe, this Fury is a person who can stand out from the pile of garbage in the Ultimate Universe.
In order to find a way to cure the Thing, Reed wanted to seek help from other universes, so he launched probes into other universes, but Fury modified the program, thereby welcoming the Supreme Squadron from other universes. The Supreme Squadron of that universe was also a bunch of garbage, blaming Reed for killing civilians.
Although the truth was finally revealed, the framing and distrust of the surrounding friends also planted a seed in Reed's heart, foreshadowing his future corruption.
However, none of this is the most important. The most important thing is that Invisible Woman Susan rejected Reed's marriage proposal, even after Reed saved the world and saved her, and then Susan seamlessly hooked up with the Thing.
No, why does American comics always like to do NTR (Netorare) stuff? The Thing of this universe is also like that. Reed exhausted his efforts to help him return to his original state, but he wanted to mess with his brother's woman. It made Yang Le feel disgusted.
Under the outrageous operations of these garbage people, the famous Brain-ripper was born, which can be regarded as reaping what you sow.
Brain-ripper: "Every cause has its effect, and your retribution is me."
Now Yang Le understands why the X-Men like to travel through time. Yang Le also wants to travel back and punch Nick Fury.
Damn! Or just go back to the past and punch Lin (For the safety of this book, the considerate Ghost-Spider crossed out the dangerous part.)
The most recent novel is first published on [6][9] [Shu] [Ba]!
Ghost-Spider dropped the marker in her hand, swinging her legs and looking at the furious Yang Le with amusement.
"Huff!" Finally, Yang Le slowly exhaled a breath of turbid air. Since the Tomorrow Child armor is here, it shows that Brain-ripper has already observed this universe. So, what is his purpose? If it is to prevent the Earths from colliding and destroy this universe's Earth, then he shouldn't only send out one Tomorrow Child, right?
'And isn't this Tomorrow Child too weak?' Yang Le looked suspiciously at the Tomorrow Child armor that had been almost completely dismantled.
Although the Tomorrow Children are mass-produced soldiers, they are not ordinary nobodies. The combat power of these genetically enhanced soldiers wearing armor cannot be defeated even by the Asgardian warriors of Asgard.
In a one-on-one situation, a Tomorrow Child can kill an Asgardian warrior in seconds. It takes at least four people or more to take down one Tomorrow Child.
Even Thor, the first warrior of Asgard, has no power to fight back against three or four Tomorrow Children and is beaten to the ground.
Unable to figure it out, Yang Le could only turn his attention to Ghost-Spider beside him.
