#411 - Batman
"Thud."
A soft landing sound, if not for the silence brought about by the clearing of the area, even the hearing of an Amazonian wouldn't have been able to pick up such a sound.
Everyone turned back to find a person clad in pitch-black battle armor standing behind them. He concealed his entire body beneath a wide cloak, but even so, it wasn't difficult to discern his robust build.
"Batman," the captain aimed her sword at the Dark Knight. "I've heard of you. Legend has it you're a master of stealth, skilled at eliminating opponents from the shadows. It's unfortunate you chose the wrong place. It's very open here; you have almost nowhere to hide. It's wise of you to jump out early."
"Metropolis, Blüdhaven, Star City, Texas, New York…" Batman ignored the Amazon squad captain's provocation, merely reciting a few place names in a calm tone before finally speaking.
"Amazon squads have appeared in these cities, with a time difference of no more than five minutes between each squad's appearance. What is your purpose?"
"Who knows?" The captain flourished her sword. "I'm only responsible for carrying out the Queen's mission. I never ask why."
"Queen? Is it Troia or Nephthys?" Batman's eyes flickered as he probed.
"I didn't expect that there would be scholars among humans who know the great name of our Queen. That's right, it was Queen Nephthys who issued the order. Based on this, you can know my name before you die," the captain said, adopting a fighting stance.
"I'm called Mero. Remember well the name of the person who is about to take your life."
As soon as she finished speaking, without Mero giving the order, the other Amazonians charged forward. Batman didn't move, but his cloak fluttered slightly, and several black pellets rolled from his fingertips. The moment they touched the ground, thick smoke instantly concealed Batman's figure.
"He's trying to escape!" An Amazonian warrior shouted, trying to stop outside the smoke, but before she could steady herself, a hand reached out from the smoke.
"Bang!"
A muffled sound rang out as the palm struck the Amazonian warrior's jaw from below. This heavy blow caused even the Amazonian to feel dizzy, and her body uncontrollably fell backward. It was Batman; the smoke bomb he threw wasn't to escape but to conceal his first attack!
He had stood in the same place from beginning to end. If the smoke were cleared, the Amazonian warrior would look like a fool who obediently rushed forward to take a beating.
"Bang! Zzzzz!"
A piercing electrical sound followed, and his right hand, equipped with an electrified gauntlet, struck the Amazonian's unarmored abdomen. The electricity began to spread the moment it touched her flesh, inevitably affecting the Amazonian's body, preventing her from retaliating immediately after regaining consciousness.
"Beep beep beep!"
Batman didn't have the habit of being greedy for extra damage. He immediately withdrew his hand to prevent being flanked by the other Amazonians charging up, but his nimble hand allowed him to stick several glittering objects onto the Amazonian warrior's body, and at the same time, he kicked her away.
Another warrior subconsciously caught her injured sister, and then she saw the few small gifts flashing red light. Before she could see what they were, the glittering little things exploded with a bang.
The two were blown away by the force of the bombs. Batman used the small bombs he used against enemies like the Croc, even the tough-skinned Amazonians couldn't stand up in a short time.
"Damn it!" Seeing her two sisters taken care of, another Amazonian warrior became anxious and took the bow and arrow from her back, aiming at Batman and shooting.
The sharp arrow cut through the air, and it was about to hit Batman, but Batman didn't move, just staring straight at the arrow coming over, without any intention of dodging.
At this time, another arrow shot out from above Batman's head, actually taking the lead in knocking the Amazonian's arrow out of the air.
"This is impossible!" The Amazonian widened her eyes. Knocking another arrow out of the air, this is not an easy task.
"Honestly, Batman, I think we can switch next time," Green Arrow's voice came from the communicator, his relaxed tone as if he didn't take the feat just now to heart.
"You get all the cool stuff, when will you let me show up in front of the stage too?"
For Green Arrow, he didn't even bother to mention things like just now. In his opinion, it was just shooting a moving target with a clear target. It was not as cool as Batman looking directly at the arrow.
"Next time for sure," Batman said.
Ignoring Green Arrow's complaints in the communicator, Batman rushed towards the Amazonian who shot the arrow. Seeing this, the other party shot several more arrows in succession, but they were all shot down by Green Arrow one by one.
Being defeated in the most proud field by an overwhelming act, one can imagine the mood of that Amazonian. Facing Batman's attack, she couldn't even organize an effective counterattack. She was caught by Batman in a few strokes, knocked to the ground, and then sealed with the other party's superhuman gel.
"Wonderful!" Mero praised loudly. "Facing an opponent whose physical fitness far exceeds his own, he can end the battle so cleanly. I really don't know where your exquisite memory comes from."
"Hoo ~" Batman exhaled a breath of turbid air. He is, after all, a human, not a superhuman like Superman and Wonder Woman who will not feel tired after fighting for days and nights. Of course, he will feel tired from short-term strenuous exercise, but he is too good at hiding it.
Just like no one knows, he gets hurt almost every night, but few people can see that he is injured, so much so that there are even rumors that Batman is a bat freak, which even scared Green Lantern when he first met him.

"I go to the gym whenever I have time," Batman said in a serious tone, saying words that the Amazonians couldn't understand.
"Pfft!" Green Arrow couldn't help but laugh. "Seriously, Batman, you're really good at telling cold jokes."
'Actually, it's the truth.' Batman slandered in his heart.
Mero didn't get entangled in the nouns she couldn't understand, and was about to launch an attack on Batman with her sword, but was stopped by Dimaeus next to her.
"Leave this to me, Captain," Dimaeus still looked at Batman with a morbid look. "I can't wait to see him beg for mercy."
"I bet ten dollars that this little girl will beg for mercy in ten minutes," Green Arrow joked in the communication channel.
"I bet five minutes," Batman lowered his body, and even the muscle lines that could not be covered by the battle armor spread out at this moment. He was like a cheetah ready to hunt.
"Deal!"
As soon as Green Arrow finished speaking, Batman and Dimaeus launched a charge at the same time.
