#412 - Bat Armor
Batman is just a human, but his opponents are not all ordinary people. There are mutant monsters, mad scientists, and even aliens. These enemies' physical functions far exceed his, or they possess some troublesome special abilities.
When facing these opponents, Batman, as an ordinary human, often suffers greatly in the initial encounters. However, the second time he faces the same opponent, he can easily defeat them, even handling multiple opponents with ease.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
During the charge, Batman raised his hand and threw three darts. Through his superb throwing skills, coupled with the enhancements of Wayne Technology, these three darts flew towards Timaeus from three different angles.
Timaeus revealed a disdainful expression, holding a shield in her left hand and a sword in her right. Without stopping her advance, she used both hands to knock down the darts flying towards her one by one.
Although Timaeus's speed didn't seem to slow down, as if she hadn't been affected, the purpose of those darts wasn't to cause damage to the enemy. Attacking the opponent with darts, whether they dodge or block, is advantageous for Batman.
If the opponent dodges, Batman not only defuses their attack but can also press the attack. If the opponent blocks, Batman disrupts their attack rhythm.
Neither of them stopped. By the time Timaeus knocked down the last dart, the distance between them was only an arm's width. At this point, no matter how fast Timaeus swung her sword, the attack she hastily organized would be much weaker.
Avoiding the sword's edge, Batman raised his arm and used the blade on his gauntlet to firmly jam Timaeus's sword. Taking advantage of her attempt to retract her weapon, he punched her in the nose.
"Oof!"
Although Amazons are not human, fighting these humanoid creatures is similar to fighting humans. Moreover, she's not Diana, a demigod. Even if her defense is beyond ordinary, it's limited.
With the enhancement of the Batsuit, even Solomon Grundy would feel pain from Batman's punch, let alone a small Amazonian.
Batman pressed his advantage, raising his fist and punching several times in a row, turning Timaeus's delicate nose into a bulbous mess. Enraged, Timaeus raised her leg and kicked towards Batman's waist.
Knowing he couldn't withstand it head-on, Batman released the blade on his gauntlet, protected his waist, and used Timaeus's kick to create distance, rolling on the ground to dissipate most of the force. The force of her kick surprised Batman; even a hasty counterattack made Batman's defending arm numb, preventing him from seizing the opportunity to throw explosive darts.
"I'm going to chop you into pieces!" Timaeus exclaimed furiously. How long had it been since she had been this embarrassed? She vowed to tear the man in front of her into pieces.
But this was actually a facade she was putting on. Was Timaeus angry? The answer was, of course. Being struck in the face several times by an enemy whose physical abilities were far weaker than her own would break anyone's composure. However, Timaeus also knew that impotent rage was useless. In battle, you must turn everything into a means of attack.
Anger was no exception. Everyone knows that anger makes people lose their minds, making them easier to deal with. Therefore, Timaeus chose to disguise herself with anger, feigning weakness, waiting for Batman to lower his guard before taking him down in one fell swoop.
But she was facing Batman, who had eight hundred schemes in his heart. He might do many things, but he would never lower his guard against his enemies.
Secretly pressing a button on his belt, Batman beckoned at Timaeus with his finger, the meaning of provocation obvious.
Timaeus sneered inwardly, but on the surface, she still pretended to be enraged and charged towards Batman. But just as she was halfway there, a sense of crisis arose from the bottom of her heart, and goosebumps covered her entire body.
Without reason, she stopped. A black shadow fell from the sky with a bang, smashing into the ground, shattering the ground and creating a cloud of smoke.
Timaeus immediately broke out in a cold sweat. Although she didn't know what the falling object was, looking at the huge commotion in front of her, if she continued to charge, her fate would definitely not be better than the ground's.
The fear brought by the unknown made Timaeus stand guard in place. The tragic fate of her comrades who rashly entered the smoke was still vivid in her mind. Timaeus considered herself superior and looked down on those comrades, so she certainly wouldn't make the same mistake as them.
And Batman wouldn't let her wait too long. Before the smoke had cleared, Timaeus saw a red light appear inside. Before she could react, a tall black shadow had broken through the smoke and arrived in front of her.
In a panic, Timaeus only had time to see the opponent's scarlet V-shaped eyes and the huge bat symbol on their chest. This was the armor that Batman had specially created to deal with small-scale wars and superhumans - the Long-tailed Shark Armor.
During the battle with the Court of Owls' assassins - the Talons - this armor was destroyed. But this armor, which Batman considered the most practical, had naturally been remade long ago.
Not only that, based on the data from the battle with the Talons, Batman comprehensively upgraded the Long-tailed Shark Armor, reducing some impractical functions and adding many new features.
The output of the armor has been greatly enhanced. The armor, which was originally unable to resist the pulling of five or six Talons, can now even grapple with Hawkman, and it is only natural to punch an Amazonian flying.
Timaeus gritted her teeth, wanting to launch another attack on Batman, but was stopped by Melo, who had arrived beside her at some point.
"Don't be reckless, Timaeus. This is not an opponent you can handle alone," Melo said with a solemn expression. "We need to hunt him together. This will be the most difficult hunt."
Through the computer prompts installed in the armor, Batman also noticed that the Amazonians he had just knocked down had already stood up again and surrounded him without communicating, forming an encirclement.
Just like an encirclement for hunting beasts.
