#470 - contact
Yang Le, having transformed into Ant-Man, brazenly flew towards the Inhuman. His current size was one nanometer, a scale imperceptible to ordinary humans or even superhumans.
If one were to choose the most suitable alien hero from the Omnitrix for stealth and tracking, some might opt for Ghostfreak, Big Chill, or ChamAlien. However, in Yang Le's opinion, Ant-Man was the most ideal.
Ghostfreak and ChamAlien could be detected by specialized scanners or thermal imaging devices, while Big Chill's ability wasn't true invisibility, leaving behind a translucent afterimage, achieving a semblance of invisibility only under specific lighting conditions.
Ant-Man, on the other hand, didn't possess inherent invisibility but had the ability to shrink almost infinitely. Once reduced to a certain size, biological eyes couldn't perceive him.
This was even more effective than invisibility because most machines couldn't react to objects at the nanometer scale, let alone Ant-Man, who could shrink even smaller.
As an aside, Yang Le could enter the quantum realm in his Ant-Man state. He had ventured in during his time as an orchard worker. However, considering the comics and movies mentioned the differing time flow between the quantum realm and other universes, Yang Le left after verifying his hypothesis.
However, upon leaving, he encountered a minor issue: simply growing back to normal size wasn't enough to exit the quantum realm. Not wanting to linger, Yang Le reluctantly transformed into XLR8 again to finally escape.
The time spent in the quantum realm, according to Yang Le's perception, was less than three minutes, but approximately two days passed in the real world. Fortunately, Yang Le had informed Scott and the others about his temporary absence before entering the quantum realm; otherwise, they might have thought he had disappeared.
However, Yang Le wasn't sure if he could only enter the quantum realm under the Marvel universe's worldview, given that the quantum realm was directly connected to a crucial element—Pym Particles. His easy access might have been due to exploiting this loophole.
He wasn't certain if he could do the same in the DC universe, which lacked this element, but this required practical testing.
While Yang Le was lost in thought, the Inhuman before him stirred. The Inhuman sat on the ground for a while, seemingly recovering enough strength before finally standing up.
The Inhuman looked around, seemingly searching for something. After walking for a few minutes, the Inhuman appeared to find what they were looking for and quickened their pace towards the discovered target.
The Inhuman's target was a tall, thick tree. Just as Yang Le was wondering what the Inhuman was up to, the latter provided the answer.
The Inhuman dashed up the tree, using powerful arms to climb to the top in seconds. Yang Le realized that the Inhuman was trying to find their bearings.
Yang Le had teleported the Inhuman to a forest, where it was easy to get lost in the dense woods. The Inhuman used their physical prowess to overcome this predicament.
After reaching the treetop, the Inhuman spotted signs of civilization in the distance—a conspicuous plume of grey smoke, a testament to human activity.
Having determined their direction, the Inhuman didn't jump down but leaped from treetop to treetop, moving quickly. Yang Le, using Ant-Man’s speed, barely kept up.
After five minutes of rapid transit, the Inhuman and Yang Le arrived at the source of the smoke—a campsite comprised of several trailer homes, with the smoke emanating from a bonfire in the center.
Several young men and women were chatting around the bonfire, each holding a bowl of instant noodles, eating heartily while conversing.
The Inhuman hadn't eaten since being imprisoned, relying solely on intravenous fluids to sustain life. Now, the cheap, unhealthy instant noodles seemed like a delicacy.
The Inhuman violently pushed aside a tree concealing them, the thick trunk shattering into two pieces upon contact. The loud noise immediately caught the attention of the young people.
Upon seeing a tall, unidentified humanoid creature with rock covering its upper body smashing a tree and charging towards them, any normal person would be frightened. These young people, out on vacation, were no exception, scattering and screaming almost as soon as the Inhuman took their second step.
However, the Inhuman's target wasn't them but the discarded instant noodles. The Inhuman didn't care that the food in the containers was scalding hot, almost throwing the instant noodles into their mouth.
By the time Yang Le returned, the Inhuman had devoured all the food.
Some might wonder why Yang Le left for a while. It was because people fleeing in a panic wouldn't pay attention to direction and could easily get lost in the forest. To prevent this, Yang Le used Ant-Man's laser to stun the young people and gathered them about four or five meters from the campsite.
Ant-Man's laser was practically his only means of attack, but unfortunately, the light caused limited damage to living beings; stunning them was the limit, and the stunning effect didn't last long.
After the Inhuman was full, the Inhuman began searching the campsite, eventually finding a phone in a trailer.
Evidently, the Inhuman had some understanding of human technology, as they skillfully used the phone and dialed a number.
Yang Le flapped his wings, flying closer to hear the conversation.
The call connected after a busy signal, but the other side remained silent. Instead, the Inhuman spoke.
"I am Golem," the Inhuman said in a low voice.
"Tell me, Golem," a raspy voice came from the other end of the line, sounding like fingernails scraping a chalkboard, sending chills down one's spine.
"Why did it take you so long to contact me?"
