#471 - Mad Maximus
“I’ve run into some trouble, sir.”
Even though he was on the phone, the large-sized Golem still stood respectfully like a Japanese person, striking a pose of submission before replying respectfully.
“I encountered resistance from humans and spent some time finally getting rid of those troubles.”
“Is that so? Is that so?” The voice on the other end of the phone sounded noticeably impatient. “Then how is the task I gave you going?”
“It still needs some time,” Golem replied shamefully.
“Hmph, I’ve already given you time, Golem. Have you forgotten the solemn promise you made to me to complete the task within a few days?”
“A week.”
Faced with the questioning from the person on the other end of the line, Golem could only lower his head in shame. The words he had spoken were now like an invisible hand, slapping him in the face.
“Hold onto the human creation in your hands, Golem,” the person on the other end of the line snorted coldly. “I will send someone to find you. Before then, don’t cause any more trouble for me.”
Before Golem could reply, the phone had already been hung up, but Golem still respectfully replied.
“Yes, sir.”
Then, Golem grabbed the clothes that had been discarded on the ground by those who had escaped earlier, using them as a towel to wipe himself down before leaving the camp.
Logically speaking, Golem should have waited in place, but this was, after all, a place where humans were active. Those escaped humans might return. The master had already said not to cause any more trouble, so Golem needed to find another place.
Plunging back into the forest, Golem did not return the same way. After all, the person who had rescued him in that place also knew about it, and the other party's purpose was still questionable. Golem couldn't possibly be foolish enough to run back to that non-secretive place.
In the end, Golem chose a forest that was no different from the surrounding area. After waiting for about ten minutes, a strange sound attracted Golem's attention. When he looked up, he saw a uniquely shaped aircraft.
Golem was very familiar with the shape of that aircraft. It was an Inhuman aircraft. He knew that the person sent by that master had arrived.
The aircraft slowly landed, completely disregarding the trees beneath it. Under the pressure of the aircraft's sturdy body, those thick trees turned into fragments amidst a series of cracking sounds.
After forcibly landing in the dense forest, the aircraft's hatch slowly opened. Golem had already stood at the aircraft's hatch, waiting for the people inside to come out.
The moment he saw the person who came out, Golem revealed a flustered expression, and then immediately knelt on one knee, saying in a panic.
“It’s actually you who has come personally, your subordinate is truly terrified.”
Yang Le also saw the mysterious person's appearance at this time. It was a young male with no particularly noteworthy features. The only thing that caught Yang Le's attention was his jet-black hair, which looked somewhat familiar.
Oh right, and the clothes he was wearing. It was a black coat with white trim, looking noble and simple. Even Yang Le could tell that the fabric of the clothes was definitely not ordinary.
However, the fabric of the clothes was not the main reason that attracted Yang Le, it was because he happened to know an Inhuman member who wore similar clothes, and that was Black Bolt's brother, Maximus.
Also known as the Mad Maximus, he had indeed done many insane and reckless things in his life. He was like Yuan Shao in the late Han Dynasty, always starting with a crazy big move, but the results were often unsatisfactory.
“Sir.”
Seeing that Maximus didn't say anything, Golem spoke again in a panic, but he still didn't dare to raise his head.
“Wow, wow, wow.”
Maximus made three exclamations in a row, not only raising his volume but also raising Golem's heart.
“Captured by humans, Golem, you are too amazing. Should I give you a round of applause?”
Maximus laughed instead of being angry, bending down to look at Golem, who didn't dare to raise his head, and put his hand near the other's head and clapped.
Golem was shocked when he heard Maximus's words and raised his head in disbelief, seeing Maximus's smile that could be seen as fake at a glance.
“Sir, I…”
Maximus didn't give Golem a chance to explain. He took out a black short stick from his coat, and with a flick of his hand, the stick lengthened, and then he hit Golem's face.
“Bang!”
After a muffled sound, cracks appeared on the rocky skin of Golem's cheek, and red blood flowed out of it. Golem immediately shut his mouth and stopped talking.
“Do I need your explanation? Do you still remember what I said, Golem? I only look at the results, the results!”
Maximus put the short stick against Golem's shoulder, and the cold voice made Golem shiver.
“You know, Golem, I hate those humans the most, and then you were actually caught by those humans, and almost dissected and experimented on by humans. You are not just losing your own face, Golem.”

Maximus's expression turned ferocious in an instant, and another stick hit Golem's face, and more stone chips fell from his face, but Golem never dared to move.
“You have lost the face of the entire Inhuman race. Why do you still have the face to live in this world? You should have apologized with death at the moment you were caught. What kind of desire to survive has made you linger until now.”
“It’s your plan, sir,” Golem finally seized the opportunity to answer Maximus’s question. It was obvious that he was panting after just saying one sentence.
“I dare not die before completing your plan. I beg you to give me another chance. I will commit suicide and apologize immediately after completing the task.”
“You really moved me, Golem,” Maximus stood up straight, looking at Golem who was desperately trying to survive with a blank expression.
“But unfortunately, I don’t need you anymore.”
What does that mean? Golem raised his head and looked at Maximus in surprise. The other party had already turned around and walked towards the aircraft.
“Get rid of this disgrace to the Inhuman race.”
Maximus said as he walked. When his foot stepped on the ladder of the aircraft, a tall black shadow rushed out of the aircraft, bypassed Maximus and rushed towards Golem who was kneeling on the ground.
A sense of crisis arose in Golem's heart for no reason, and he subconsciously raised his hands.
“Bang!”
After a muffled sound, Golem looked at the person in front of him in surprise. He had never seen this person before.
“His Majesty is right,” the man opened his mouth, and a beast-like voice drilled into Golem’s ears.
“You have committed an unforgivable mistake, but you are still lingering on. Your existence is the humiliation of the Inhuman race.”
