#596 - Crazy attack overwhelms Hyperion
Above a small island in the Atlantic Ocean, dozens of thunderous sounds rang out one after another. The culprit behind these terrifying noises turned out to be nothing more than iron balls the size of eyeballs.
Don't let their unremarkable appearance fool you; with just a little electromagnetic force, these iron balls can become deadly weapons, forcing even Hyperion to tread carefully.
The battle had only lasted for less than five minutes, yet this time, barely enough to boil an egg, felt like an eternity to Hyperion, the powerful superhuman.
Magneto's every attack was ferocious, each move filled with murderous intent, as if he wanted to tear him to pieces.
Hyperion's eyes could see things invisible to most humans, such as microwaves, infrared rays, and ultraviolet light. But now, he felt he could add another: murderous intent.
This was the first time Hyperion had so directly felt such intense killing intent from another person. Previous opponents had been filled with rage and savagery, but Magneto was different. Hyperion realized that Magneto might genuinely want to kill him.
Although he didn't know where such intense killing intent came from, forcing Magneto to attack without warning and unleash deadly moves, Hyperion wasn't just going to stand there and take it.
Hyperion knew that this opponent was not one of the small fries he had encountered before. Against Magneto, he couldn't afford to hold back, and the longer the battle dragged on, the worse it would be for him. He had to end this quickly.
Punching out, he shattered the electromagnetic projectiles hurtling toward him. Hyperion adjusted his posture and charged at Magneto with a speed he had never shown before, even surpassing the velocity of Magneto's electromagnetic projectiles.
Cosmic energy instantly flooded his entire body. Hyperion himself had transformed into a cannonball, smashing all the incoming electromagnetic projectiles to smithereens.
Logically, Hyperion's speed should have far exceeded the reaction speed of normal humans, making his movements imperceptible to the average person.
However, Hyperion saw that as he moved, Magneto's eyes followed him. This sight greatly exceeded his expectations.
But the arrow was already on the string and had to be released. Hyperion had no way to withdraw his attack. Relying on his body's ability to survive in the vacuum of space, Hyperion felt he had plenty of room for error.
Facing the aggressively charging Hyperion, Magneto merely revealed a contemptuous smile. He extended his arm, which could be described as thin and weak, and drew it back as if throwing a baseball.
One was charging ferociously, the other was as steady as Mount Tai. In the blink of an eye, the two came into contact.
"Boom!"
Magneto's right fist solidly connected with Hyperion's fist. The energy generated by their clash was like a high-explosive detonating.
Hyperion was shocked by Magneto's power. Those slender, twig-like arms were able to counteract the force generated by his acceleration. Did this mean that the other's physical abilities were likely superior to his own?
No, that's not right. This defies common sense. There must be something...
Hyperion's eyes widened. He realized that his fist hadn't directly made contact with Magneto. There was a subtle film on Magneto's body, something invisible to ordinary people, only visible to creatures with multiple visual senses, like him.
"Looks like my 'clothes' have shocked you," Magneto grinned.
Magneto's laughter was the best fuel for the fire. Hyperion's anger surged from his heart. He mobilized a large amount of cosmic energy, which poured from his limbs and bones into his eyes.
Orange light flashed. Hyperion released two beams of light, as thick as bowls, directly at Magneto, who was less than two meters away. This distance gave Magneto no chance to dodge.
However, Magneto didn't intend to dodge. He simply extended his free left hand and aimed it at the atomic rays shooting towards him. Blue light, carrying some electrical arcs, surged from his palm.
A shocking scene appeared. As Magneto's palm moved, the two rays that should have targeted Magneto were deflected, moving along with his hand.
'He used his ability to deflect the energy I released!'
Hyperion was shocked. He had seen people block or dodge his attacks, but he had never seen anyone directly deflect them.
"This close is enough." Magneto smirked. Behind him was a sinking island. The deflected rays had landed on that island.
"What?" Before Hyperion could understand Magneto's meaning, he felt a wave of dizziness, then a weakness in his limbs. Even his ability to fly couldn't be maintained, and he plummeted towards the sea.
Seeing this, Magneto waved his hand, and the falling Hyperion spun down towards the island where they had just been talking.
With a thud, Hyperion crashed onto the island, kicking up countless clouds of sand. After he fell, Magneto also landed on the ground, stopping right in front of Hyperion.
"What… happened?" Hyperion weakly propped himself up. The dizziness in his brain hadn't stopped. He didn't understand what had happened, what means Magneto had used.
"What did you do to me?"

"I controlled some substances essential to living beings." Magneto casually summoned an iron ball that he hadn't had time to use, and it floated in front of Hyperion.
"Iron, something that any creature with blood in its body can't live without. I used them to control the frequency at which your body supplies blood to your brain, which is why you feel dizzy and weak."
Magneto revealed a cunning smile and said, "Actually, from the very beginning of the battle, I was communicating with the little guys in your body, but some energy I don't understand was protecting your body, so I had to entangle with you for so long."
"It was to weaken you, or lure you closer."
Magneto raised his foot and stepped on Hyperion's head. The lack of blood supply to the brain made the latter as weak as an Earthling, unable to resist Magneto's trampling.
"You have strength, but you still play those childish dramas. If you really revealed your ambition like that princess said, I might have helped you for a while, but your idiotic thinking forced me to expose myself."
Hyperion tried to raise his head, but it was impossible. He was too weak now.
"Forget it, rather than expecting you guys to keep things in order, I might as well do it myself and create an obedient puppet!"
As Magneto spoke, he retracted his foot. With a wave of his hand, Hyperion was lifted from the ground, and he extended his right hand towards the latter.
