#595 - Magneto tears his face
The cool sea breeze stirred Hyperion's cloak and Magneto's robes, the former watching the latter, awaiting his response.
"I expected your answer long ago," Magneto shrugged helplessly. "Humanity's constraints still bind you."
"Have you ever thought about it, Hyperion?" Magneto spread his hands. "With your power, the entire human world would be your playground if you wished, and even I would be daunted by the power you possess."
Hyperion raised an eyebrow. It was the first time he had heard the mutant king show weakness. Such flattery from another strongman should have been a happy thing, but a premonition arose in his heart for no reason.
"Living in this world means you can't do whatever you want, no matter how strong you are," Hyperion said, lowering his arms.
"Then why are you forcing superhumans to register?" Magneto asked playfully. "Aren't your actions also doing as you please with your power?"
"That's right," Hyperion nodded. "Like you said, I am forcing others. I admit that, but the reason I'm doing this is to prevent superhumans like me from appearing in the future."
Hyperion threw a punch, and a rock on the beach not far away shattered into pieces.
"It's too easy for superhumans to hurt people. They don't even need to go to a gun store to buy a gun or go to a supermarket to buy a knife. The only cost they have to pay is the time it takes to hurt others."
"I understood this when I accidentally broke my butler's hand at the age of seven," Hyperion lowered his head to look at his right hand. "I just wanted to take the teapot from his hand, but I accidentally broke his arm. People are so fragile."
"From then on, I vowed to restrain myself and try to guide people like me with my own power, so I became a superhero at the age of sixteen."
Hyperion revealed a look of reminiscence and said, "In my nearly ten years as a superhero, I always subdued those criminal superhumans and then used my words to persuade them, trying to make them as full of awe for life as I am, but unfortunately..."
"I couldn't have been more wrong!" Hyperion clenched his fist. "Preaching is useless. Only by breaking their bones and engraving the preaching into their bones with pain will it work."
"Not everyone can possess noble qualities. Only fear can suppress those ugly hearts."
Hyperion suddenly opened his arms, facing the whistling sea breeze, facing the endless horizon and skyline, as if he were embracing the whole world.
"I will use this power to make the world's tomorrow a better place."
"Clap! Clap! Clap!"
Applause rang out appropriately. Magneto was still smiling, and the applause came from his hands.
"What a great ideal. If it were before, I might have been moved to tears by what you said."
Magneto slowly retracted his hands, his face changed, and said, "But unfortunately, I don't have time to play superhero games with you now."
"That seems like a pity," Hyperion frowned. "Tonight, we are destined to part unhappily."
In Hyperion's view, the reason why Magneto had such a bad attitude was probably because he, like Power Princess, wanted to become the king of humans.
Hyperion himself had no thoughts about this matter. He now just wanted to complete the superhuman registration and hopefully find some like-minded people to establish a specialized agency responsible for it.
In this way, even if he was gone, facing the constantly emerging superhumans, the registration could continue and would not be overthrown after a period of time like those ancient monarchs.
He had rejected Power Princess's persuasion yesterday, but he was still very interested in the cooperation, so he came all the way, but it seemed that the cooperation was off the table.
"Unhappy is certain," Magneto said with a sinister smile. "But whether we part or not is not up to you."
"What do you mean?"
Hyperion's question had just left his lips when a sense of crisis followed. He immediately soared into the air to avoid the sandstorm.
"What are you doing, Magneto!"
"Isn't it obvious? Great hero!"
Magneto waved his hand, and the iron in the atmosphere began to condense rapidly, eventually turning into six eyeball-sized iron balls that began to spin around his body.
He summoned an iron ball in front of him, and Magneto raised his right hand, flickering with electricity, and slapped it towards the iron ball.
"Boom!"
With an ear-splitting roar, the iron ball broke the sound barrier in an instant and shot towards Hyperion, who had just taken off, at a speed invisible to the naked eye.
Hyperion didn't dare to take this sudden attack head-on. As he adjusted his body, he finally dodged Magneto's electromagnetic cannon in the air by leaning to the side.
"You can dodge one, but what about five simultaneous shots!"
Magneto seemed mad, and five satellite-like iron balls were accelerated by him at the same time, each shooting towards Hyperion, who had just dodged the first attack, from different angles.
The five iron balls were in different positions. Although there were only a handful of them, they blocked all of Hyperion's dodging space. Because of their terrifying speed and clever launch timing, they did not leave Hyperion enough reaction time at all.
Since he couldn't dodge, he would face it head-on!
Hyperion mobilized the cosmic energy stored in his body, guided it to his whole body, and then punched the incoming shells.
Punching and kicking, using both hands and feet, with five deafening sounds, the five electromagnetic cannons were all forcibly shot down by Hyperion.
"Powerful body!" Magneto exclaimed.
"But, this is just saying hello!"
"Boom!"
A huge lightning bolt struck from the air, hitting Hyperion, who had just retracted his fist, straight on.
"Yah!"
Hyperion raised his head, and orange energy burst out from his eyes, colliding with the lightning that struck from the air. The two powerful energies came into contact and caused a huge explosion.
In less than a minute of fighting, Magneto had forced out a lot of Hyperion's energy. The latter knew that he couldn't continue like this. He had to find a chance to close the distance with Magneto first, so that he could win the battle with his physical abilities.
But, this was almost impossible.
Just as he lowered his head, Hyperion saw dozens of iron balls surrounding Magneto, like countless planets surrounding the sun.
It seemed that a hard battle was inevitable.
