American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#265 - The Beginning of Diversity: First Sight

The Captain and Natasha put up a fierce resistance, but to little avail.

"See, we should be a little more friendly," Agent Coulson said with some helplessness, looking at the Captain and Natasha, who were bound by energy locks. He didn't want to lay a hand on the Captain's face, but if he let them escape, he might be dispatched to other planets in the Nine Realms this time.

Many places in the Nine Realms are being rebuilt, and, unsurprisingly, apart from Asgard, their S.H.I.E.L.D. people are also involved. That's a tough job, even more unbearable than a business trip to a bitterly cold place.

...

Stark Tower penthouse.

"You are not authorized to access the system."

Stark was denied access by Stark Tower's intelligent system. He had already changed the password multiple times and tried to hack in, but the result was still that cold "You are not authorized to access the system."

"This is a bit strange. Could it be that the Stark of this world is so much more advanced than me in technology?" Noticing the unexpected, Stark muttered to himself, wanting to gather more information from the internet through his Friday.

This world's security system is airtight. Whether it's military satellites or the network systems of companies like Stark, they're all like tortoise shells. Even if some are breached, not much important intelligence information can be gathered.

However, he had already discovered some discrepancies from the existing information he had collected, which differed greatly from his memory. This made him suspect that they had shifted the timeline and come to the wrong place.

This is not their universe!

"Intrusion detected. You have been locked down."

Friday suddenly froze, emitting a chaotic and sluggish metallic sound like a system malfunction. Then, Stark discovered that the control system of his Iron Man armor was completely locked, and he was frozen in place, unable to move within the metal suit.

A long contrail drew a curved arc across the sky, leaving an afterimage on Stark's retina. An Iron Man figure with the same series of armor as Stark, carrying a gust of wind, descended from the sky and landed in front of Stark.

"Look who it is? A counterfeit?" The metal armor of the newcomer opened, and the metal parts quickly receded, revealing Tony's familiar face.

"Oh, I forgot, your system is currently paralyzed, so the speakers can't speak," Tony said, standing on the gold and red Iron Man armor, waving his hand upward in front of the helmet, which opened to reveal a face identical to his.

However, there were still differences between the two. Tony Stark under the helmet was more mature and older, while the Tony who had taken off the armor was much younger.

"I just saw a Captain and Natasha, and now I see myself. Are you guys here on a team tour?" Tony asked, frowning as he looked at the familiar face under the helmet.

"If you want to think that way," Stark said, moving his body encased in metal, and said to the Tony in front of him, "Can you loosen me up? I feel like I'm in a coffin."

"I wouldn't call my armor a coffin. Is this made of nanometal? Looks like your technology is decent," Tony said, stepping forward and tapping Stark's metal armor. The nanometal on his body suddenly began to recede, reassembling into the nanocollection device on his chest.

"It just looks a bit conspicuous. Why not use space technology for storage?" Tony suggested, seeing this scene.

"That's a good idea, I'll consider it," Stark said, looking at the younger version of himself, "When I was your age, I wasn't this young. How did you do it just now? How could you break through my intelligent system and control my armor?"

"Maybe it's because of the longevity serum? As for control? I can only say your technology is too rough and your protection is too poor. Here, if the intelligent protection system isn't done well, then your equipment will become someone else's. Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" Tony took two steps back, looking at the older version of himself.

"Tony Stark," Stark extended his hand, "I think you can tell, I'm from another timeline or another universe. I originally wanted to go back to the past to solve some troubles, but it looks like something went wrong."

"This accident is big enough. Also, can you tell your companion not to make any extra moves?" Tony smiled, and suddenly his smile faded under Stark's gaze.

"There are only two of us here," Stark said in a daze, looking left and right, to the younger Tony.

"Come on, if you're really me from another world, then I think we should have a lot in common. Like not being very good at acting. That guy is probably using Pym particles? That's a controlled, rare item that can be sold for new currency," Tony shrugged.

"How did you find out?" A figure jumped down from Stark's body, then gradually grew larger on the ground, revealing a person wearing some kind of special suit.

"Maybe you don't understand, you shouldn't have any technological equipment on you. What I hacked was two signal sources! That means everything you secretly discussed fell into my ears. Including the plan you made to ambush me inside the armor," Tony pointed out unceremoniously.

"Wait a minute, I know I'm a genius, but is the me in this world so strong?" Stark waved his hand, looking a bit bewildered.

"While you were talking, I browsed your intelligent system, Friday? I thought it was Jarvis. It seems your world is very different from ours. I think we should have a good chat before some people come knocking on our door," Tony gestured for them to follow and walked towards the interior of Stark Tower.

Stark and Ant-Man Scott Lang exchanged glances, looked at the younger Tony who was sure they would follow, paused for a moment, and then stepped forward to follow.

...

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Inside the Helicarrier.

"You're saying there's a madman in the universe who collected six Infinity Stones and snapped his fingers, wiping out half of the life in the universe, all to maintain the balance of the universe. And you thought of time travel, built a time machine, and used Pym particles to go back to the past, wanting to collect the Infinity Stones on the original timeline before Thanos, so that all the dead people would be restored to before the snap?"

Nick Fury, who had already listened to the Captain's story, roughly repeated the Captain's story, looking at the two people in the seats with narrowed eyes.

"That's right," Natasha, sitting with the Captain, nodded.

"Then here's the question, why didn't you return to your original timeline, but came here instead?" Nick asked slowly, looking at the two people in front of him.

"That's what we want to know too. We did a test beforehand, and everything was normal. The person being tested did indeed return to the past," The Captain and Natasha were also confused by this.

"How many of you are there in total? I suggest you tell the truth. This is not the time to hide anything," Nick suddenly asked.

"The only ones we can contact are Dr. Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, and an Ant-Man, Scott Lang. Those three still have communication signals," The Captain thought for a moment and said very honestly. In this situation, as Nick said, it wasn't the time to hide anything. Even if they wanted to hide it, they might not be able to. The other party's technology seemed to be much higher than theirs. At least those fancy energy suits were beyond their imagination.

"Consistent with the information I obtained. It seems you're not lying. That's good, that's the beginning of trust," A smile appeared on Nick's face.

"Wait, how do you know if we're lying or not? Do you have some kind of testing method?" The Captain and Natasha looked at Nick, full of doubt.

"We naturally have our verification methods. In fact, two of your companions are also guests at Stark Tower. I think you'll be reunited soon," Nick said softly.

"So, you just asked that to confirm whether we were lying?" The Captain looked helpless, as if this was something Nick could do. He was always wary and cautious. Unsurprisingly, if they had lied, Nick probably wouldn't be so friendly and continue talking to them. He didn't think that just because they were friends and acquaintances from another world, Nick would give them any special treatment.

In fact, the current communication mode without being in the interrogation room was already a kind of preferential treatment.

"Just a professional habit," Nick said, looking at the two.

Suddenly, Nick seemed to receive some information, and his eyes looked towards a corner of the conference room. The Captain and Natasha followed his gaze, where everything was calm. Just as the two were at a loss, a spark suddenly splashed in the air, and then a rotating portal opened in front of them. Doctor Strange and a tall green figure appeared from inside the door and stepped out.

"Bruce!" The Captain and Natasha saw the familiar green figure, their eyes first lit up with joy, and then they were stunned. They looked at Dr. Banner's condition and thought of a possible situation.

"Our timeline is fine. These are visitors from another world. I think we should take them to see Luke and use the instruments there to check if they have any hidden dangers," Strange said, raising his hand to Nick, his tone very familiar.

"We've already done the tests. They're not carrying any deadly viruses or hidden dangers. Of course, it's safer to send them to Luke's for testing," Nick thought for a moment and nodded. This kind of event used to be managed by the government, but now, it's definitely managed by Heberon, Kamar-Taj, and S.H.I.E.L.D.

Especially when it involves the multiverse and the Infinity Stones.

Nick hadn't forgotten that they had also experienced the Chitauri invasion, and according to the subsequent confession of that Loki, that invasion was ordered by a cosmic overlord named Thanos.

...

Stark Tower.

"It seems that the technological achievements of your universe are not very good, and your strength is not strong either," The younger Tony had also listened to the experiences of Stark's universe and gave his evaluation.

"What do you mean?" The older Stark and Scott exchanged bewildered glances.

"The literal meaning," Tony shrugged, "Wanting to resist a cosmic overlord in a world that doesn't even have a data dimension, you've already done very well."

"That doesn't sound like a compliment," Scott shook his head.

"I'm praising you. I've experienced similar confrontations in the data dimension. Those people are indeed very powerful," Tony spread his hands, sounding very sincere.

"Wait, what is the data dimension? Is it your intelligent system?" Stark frowned and asked.

"It depends on how you understand it. You can regard it as a virtual universe to be developed, or regard it as the shadow or dark side of the universe, or even a universe server. In short, it is a dimensional space different from reality. Luke discovered it, and may have even participated in modifying it. It has unimaginable power.

"If you establish a connection with the data dimension, you will get a great boost in some aspects. Like my data intrusion, this ability allows me to control all mechanical bodies and technological products. Unless its technology is beyond my comprehension, or its firewall technology is very high," To prove the persuasiveness of his words, Tony even reached out and controlled the nanometal on the older Stark's body to form an armor and wrap Stark once, and then repositioned them.

"This kind of nanotechnolgy that relies on fixed circuits and models for construction was already very mature here a few years ago. Now even Osborne and others have skillfully mastered various technologies for manufacturing extraordinary things. Their servers have abandoned real storage in order to protect their technological secrets, and uploaded them to the data dimension instead. Stark is also the same. Some unimportant technologies are also placed on data chips produced in the data dimension. At least its protection is decent, so that it won't allow the Abomination with data intrusion capabilities to come and go freely."

"What is an Abomination?" Scott frowned.

"Don't you have AIM there? This is a virus they created using something similar to the Cosmic Cube, which can transform carbon-based life into silicon-based life. At that time, they infected a lot of people, and we spent a lot of effort to deal with the troubles caused by it," Tony raised his eyebrows.

"We have AIM, but they have Extremis virus, an unstable drug that allows people to have high temperatures and restore damaged limbs," Stark took a deep breath and replied.

"Extremis virus? I've heard of it, it's an additional technology included in AIM's mechanical virus," Tony nodded to indicate that he had heard of it.

A spark splashed in Stark's home, and then a portal opened, and Strange waved to the people inside, "We're going to find Luke, you guys come too."

...

Inside Silent City.

Little Becky, who had already left the infant state, was walking on the metal ground with her small steps, and in front of her was Rude, who was draped in a black Venom coat. Suddenly, she seemed to feel something, and her fleshy little hand grabbed Rude's tail. A blue light haloed behind her, engulfing her and Rude, disappearing in place.
