Green Monster Epic

#61 - Don't pass

Chapter 61: Farewell

Even Allen himself didn't know when he had fallen asleep last night, but when he woke up in the morning, his mind was clear, and he was completely free of too many worries and sorrows.

To be honest, during last night's conversation, Allen had almost revealed all of the Green Field Tribe's secrets, even telling Oscar about his concerns about the strong neighbor, the Shattered Bone Tribe.

Thinking about it now, perhaps it was related to the other party's kind face and the peaceful aura emanating from within, which infected him.

Allen comforted himself in this way.

His eyes scanned around, but he didn't find Oscar's figure, eventually discovering him meditating on the top of a sand dune.

Knowing to be considerate, Allen didn't disturb him, but instead actively stood guard about 15 yards away, preventing others from bothering his meditation.

Soon, Oscar's meditation came to an end, and he withdrew his thoughts and walked down from the sand dune.

"Good morning, Master Oscar."

Before Allen could speak, the goblin Jack took the initiative to step forward and offer Oscar a breakfast biscuit.

"Good morning, little Jack."

The friendly smile on Oscar's face never faded, making people feel like a spring breeze.

While giving Jack the biscuit, he didn't forget to greet Allen.

"Good morning, Chief Allen."

"Good morning, Master."

Allen's greeting came from the heart, having gained a lot from his long conversation with Oscar last night.

"Are you preparing to set off now?"

Looking at the crowd packing up their tents, Oscar asked curiously.

"Yes, while the weather is cool, I want to take everyone on the road as soon as possible to reduce the hardships."

Allen nodded and didn't forget to offer the things he had prepared in advance.

"These are drinking water and dry food prepared for the master.

I don't know if the master needs anything else?"

Allen didn't forget the other party's request when they met yesterday, and took the initiative to prepare before the other party asked again, generously offering the food that seemed very precious in their eyes, which showed Allen's goodwill towards Oscar.

"Thank you, I don't have any other good things here, so I'll take this small bag of grain seeds collected in the wilderness as a thank you gift."

Allen's frankness last night allowed Oscar to learn a lot about the Green Field Tribe.

Although he couldn't give these backward tribes too much help, as a druid who was good at cultivating plants and collecting various seeds, the grain seeds Oscar sent out at this time were something he had carefully considered that could give Allen and his tribe some help.

"This is wild sparrow wheat seed that I collected in the wilderness.

Later, when I had nothing to do, I used druid methods to improve it, making it more cold-resistant and able to grow in barren land."

"Thank you!"

This was really like someone offering a pillow when you're sleepy.

Allen had long been envious of the thriving grain crops growing on the land outside Thornsburg and Thunder Tribe, and was thinking about going back to the tribe to collect seeds of crops that could grow in the wilderness.

He didn't expect that just meeting a passerby on the road and giving the other party a little kindness would be exchanged for a gift that Allen considered to be of great significance.

How could he not say thank you from the bottom of his heart.

"You're welcome, I also want to thank you for preparing food and drinking water for me!"

Oscar waved the heavy baggage Allen had prepared for him with one hand and laughed heartily before getting up to leave.

"Since you are preparing to leave, I won't disturb you.

I hope that if there is a chance in the future, we will be able to meet again."

"We will definitely meet again.

I also hope that the master will have time to visit our tribe!!"

Allen was also not pretentious, after all, they just met by chance, giving each other help and getting rewarded.

"If I have the chance, I will go to your tribe to take a look."

Master Oscar's voice gradually faded, while the other party's back disappeared into the vast sand dunes.

"Everyone, get up and prepare to set off!!"

Watching Master Oscar's back disappear, Allen no longer lingered.

The tribesmen had already greeted the slaves and goblins to pack their luggage.

Under Allen's call, they re-started their steps and continued to move slowly towards the distant Green Field Tribe, with a little tune passed down from ancient times by the wilderness people floating in the sky.

By the time Allen and his team passed through the Tagan Desert, it had been 7 days since they had met Master Oscar.

Seeing the sparse vegetation again, it now seemed particularly cordial to Allen and the others.

During this period, two goblins were caught by sand worms that suddenly emerged from the sand, and it is estimated that not even their bones were left.

Three other goblins suffered from heatstroke in the hot desert environment, and then were abandoned in the desert because Allen and the others did not have too many treatment methods.

It is estimated that in the end, they also became the food for various insects and beasts in the desert that were only heard of but not seen.

Apart from this, the biggest loss for the entire team was the hundreds of pounds of food consumed by a group of big bellies, which made Allen feel distressed in private.

As for the few dead goblins, although they were of the same kind as Allen, they did not stir up any emotions.

Allen didn't care at all.

Anyway, they were either given away or incorporated along the way.

It's okay if the free guys die, this is the ruthless law of the wilderness.

Perhaps these few dead goblins were lucky.

Don't look at the remaining goblins and human slaves being lucky and surviving all the way, but when they are transported back to the Green Field Tribe, if the tribe encounters a famine in the future, I am afraid that their fate will not be too good:

When the bear goblins are starving and crazy, they never shy away from eating the corpses of so-called kindred.

Of course, Allen was not without other gains.

The absurd order he issued before, asking the tribesmen to work hard to create things, spent nearly two months along the way, and several female goblins and earth goblins had pregnancy reactions, and their bellies also had some movement.

In order to take care of these lucky guys, Allen also specially reorganized several cars to let them stay on the cars to protect the fetus, only hoping that the other party could give birth to a few new people for the tribe.

After passing the desert, Allen and his team's speed increased a lot again.

Four days later, Allen noticed through the terrain features he had remembered before that he was about to enter the territory of the Shattered Bone Tribe.

"Let's rest here today."

Rarely, Allen stopped the team's progress at noon, but instead ordered Da Shan and the others to start setting up camp.

Da Shan and the others didn't ask any more questions.

Since the patriarch had ordered it, they just had to do things according to the patriarch's arrangements.

Having been bought by Allen with abundant food along the way, Da Shan, Flower Snake, and the others' loyalty to Allen had increased a lot.

Although there were occasional lazy behaviors, the things they were ordered to do were actually completed, which made Allen very satisfied.
