The Charles Becomes a Wizard

Chapter 18 Diagon Alley

The car stopped at a little-known road in London, and Phantomhive father and son, led by Snape, walked into a bar that looked rather shabby. When they pushed open the door of the bar, the smell of cigarettes and alcohol mixed with a smell of decay filled the air.

The bar was dimly lit and filled with strangely dressed people. There was a thick layer of stains on the wooden bar. Behind the bar, a middle-aged man was wiping the cup in his hand with a dirty towel and greeted Snape enthusiastically when he saw him.

"Professor Snape," Vincent asked in a low voice, "this bar?" It was strange that he did not realize that there was a bar here until his two sons pointed out the specific location to him.

"It's a Muggle Repelling Charm," Snape replied coldly. The purpose of this spell was as obvious as its name, and he thought he didn't need to explain it further.

Pushing open the door hidden behind the bar, there was a small space. Ignoring the trash cans placed in the corners, Snape took out his wand and tapped the mossy brick wall rhythmically in a certain pattern. The next second, the bricks began to move, and soon an arched doorway appeared in front of everyone, and outside the doorway was another world.

The crowded crowd filled the narrow alley, which was not very wide. There were shops on both sides of the alley, and the shops were also very lively. Of course, many things seemed extremely strange to Phantomhive father and son. Not to mention that their costumes were very similar to the pictures handed down from the medieval church, things like moving posters, exploding ice cream, and flowers that kept wriggling like pig noses were more likely to attract their attention.

"Let's go to Gringotts and exchange them for gold Galleons first." Snape just wanted to complete the task as soon as possible. He was still thinking about the potion in the basement, so he didn't intend to let the three of them waste too much time at the entrance of Diagon Alley.

The layout of the Gringotts lobby was quite luxurious, but the ugly and short elves inside completely shattered the father and his two sons' fantasies about elves. Vincent had always been quite generous to his son. After asking about the exchange rate between pounds and gold galleons, he took out two priceless gems and simply opened a dome. However, the small pile of gold galleons exchanged was a little pitiful against the background of the overly empty dome.

"I think my father wants to hide something here." Eric said in a serious tone.

The Phantomhive family, who specializes in handling "trouble" for the Queen, has a lot of shameful things, whether it's handles or evidence, and perhaps a small part of Phantomhive's assets, as a fallback. It would obviously be safer to hide them in Gringotts, which is said to be a place that no one can break into privately.

"Of course." Charles agreed with Eric's opinion. However, he glanced at his brother who didn't realize the seriousness of the matter at all: "But I'm going to boarding school soon. Who do you think my father will give the task of moving the belongings to?"

Eric: ...

Eric's eyes suddenly opened wide.

Seeing that he had reacted, Charles reached out and patted his shoulder: "Thank you for your hard work."

After coming out of Gringotts, Charles had a bulging purse in his hand. Snape was too lazy to deal with Vincent's vague temptation. He simply pointed out a few shops to the father and his two sons and told them how to leave, then turned around and left.

Twin wizard cubs are extremely rare in the wizarding world, not to mention that the three of them, the father and son of the Phantomhive family, are quite good-looking. Now that the low-pressure devil, Snape, the nightmare of Hogwarts graduates in the past decade, is gone, the rate of people turning their heads to look at them has obviously increased.

Of course, this had no effect on the three people who were already used to being the center of attention.

The three of them first went to Flourish and Blotts and bought two sets of textbooks. Even though Eric refused to go to Hogwarts, Vincent believed that since he had magic in his body, he still had to learn what he should learn to avoid accidents caused by his magic getting out of control.

In addition to textbooks, they also picked out a lot of books that they were interested in. The bookstore clerk was so happy to see that the books that usually gathered dust in the corner were finally going to be sold that he gave the big customer a handbag with space expansion magic.

"Can this thing be reused?" Eric reached out and poked at the dirty and even worn-out handbag uncertainly.

"It should be possible?" Charles shrugged, "But having this thing will make the rest of the journey more convenient." They had to buy quite a lot of things today, and if it were just the three of them...it's not that they couldn't carry it, but it would inevitably be a little awkward.

"It's still heavy." Vincent weighed the bag. Although it didn't suit his aesthetic taste, he wouldn't stuff it into the hands of two children. "Ciel, do you want to buy a wand or a school uniform first?"

"Let's go buy a wand first." He was very curious about the wand.

The location of the wand shop was a bit remote. As the three of them just walked to the door of the store, they heard a loud "bang" coming from inside the store, and a thick white smoke came out from the crack in the door. The wizards passing by looked accustomed to it and seemed too lazy to even take a look.

Then a series of crisp noises came from the house, and even the glass of the display window was shattered.

"How about we wait a little longer?" Eric suggested. It's not that he's timid, but this store looks really dangerous...

Although he knew that the current situation was not targeted at all, Eric couldn't help but wonder if the three of them, father and son, would be wiped out if they went into Phantomhive together.

Isn't that ridiculous? Eric refused to log off in this way!

Charles glanced at Eric, who seemed to be imagining something, and pushed open the door of the store. He was familiar with the boy with messy hair standing in front of the counter holding a magic wand. It was clearly the famous "savior" - Harry Potter.

"Ciel?!" Harry was stunned for a moment, then a bright smile appeared on his face.

After several deliberately arranged "encounters", Harry Potter and Ciel became closer, or it can be said that Ciel is the one Harry has the best relationship with among his peers.

"Harry, are you here alone?" Charles looked around the wand shop, only to find that Harry Potter was the only customer in the shop besides a white-haired clerk who looked crazy.

Let's not talk about why the Dursleys, who had always been very resistant, agreed to let Harry Potter go to school in the wizarding world - Charles received news that the couple even left Privet Drive overnight in order to refuse the invitation of Hogwarts, and ran away to a deserted island in the name of vacation.

No matter what, Harry Potter, who grew up in the ordinary world, should have a professor to guide him. How could such a great savior be allowed to run around by himself? Are they really not afraid of accidents?

"No, Hagrid brought me here," Harry explained quickly when he saw Charles' bewildered look on his face. "Hagrid is the gamekeeper at Hogwarts and a friend of my parents."

"Is that so?" Charles narrowed his eyes. "What about him now?"

Gamekeeper? This person who was sent to take the Savior to school must be more than that...

"He said he was going to buy something and asked me to wait for him here."

"Have you chosen your wand yet?"

"It's not the wizard who chooses the wand, but the wand that chooses the wizard." The clerk, who had been silent all this time, emphasized in a hoarse voice.
