## The Hidden Tower – Forbidden Forest ##

"Welcome back."

Naruto and Hinata looked up and saw a man wearing a familiar mask standing in front of them. There was a blue pattern painted on the white mask. It was the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama.

He was wearing blue samurai armor with a white fur collar adorning his shoulders.

"Your room is this way," the Second Hokage said, leading Naruto and Hinata deeper into the tower to the room they would be staying in for the next few days.

Naruto released his perception and found that there was no one nearby.

"Where is Lord Hashirama? Is he waiting for Shikamaru's team?" Naruto asked.

"He stopped by the Valley of the End." The Second Hokage explained. Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"why?"

"Go fix his statue." The Second Hokage complained.

Naruto and Hinata couldn't help but laugh after hearing this.

"I guess he's unhappy about the damage caused in the last battle?" Naruto asked with a smile, and the Second Hokage shook his head helplessly.

"Who knows." The Second Hokage shrugged, looked around and asked, "Where's your other teammate? The pale guy?"

He noticed the unhappy looks on Naruto and Hinata's faces.

"What happened?" The Second Hokage sighed, having a premonition of something.

"That bastard tried to kill us in our sleep," Naruto said through gritted teeth.

He hasn't figured out what to do with Sai yet.

On one hand, Sai tried to kill them in their sleep, but on the other hand, he was a Konoha ninja from the Root organization.

"Why should I even bother asking this?" the Second Hokage muttered to himself, rubbing his temple.

"Do you know why he did this?" Naruto shook his head.

"It happened just a few hours ago. He is now fast asleep in my alternate dimension. I haven't had the chance to interrogate him yet." Naruto explained. The Second Hokage nodded.

"We're here," the Second Hokage said, stopping in front of a door in the middle of a long hallway.

"Since that guy named Sai hasn't woken up yet, I'll arrange another room for other contestants, and you two can live together for now." The Second Hokage said as he pushed open the door.

This was a very simple room. There was only a small window in the room that could be used to enjoy the view of the forest, and a small bed that was just enough for Naruto and Hinata to sleep on.

Next to the bed was a small nightstand and a dressing mirror mounted on the wall. Naruto walked to a door at the other end of the room and found a small bathroom inside.

"Looks good." Naruto said. The Second Hokage nodded and turned to leave.

"By the way." The Second Hokage suddenly stopped at the door and said, "Do you need my help with training this month?"

Naruto turned to look at Hinata and she shook her head.

"I don't think so. You and Lord Hashirama should focus on training Shikamaru and the others. They may need your guidance more." Naruto said.

The Second Hokage nodded and left.

"What should we do now?" Hinata asked.

Naruto shrugged and fell directly onto the bed, his armor making a crisp clanging sound.

He closed his eyes, but did not sleep. He entered a meditative state, thinking about the dilemma he faced and the responsibility he shouldered.

## the next day ##

Naruto groaned and opened his eyes, realizing it was already the next morning. He was about to turn over when he realized the bed next to him was empty.

He blinked his eyes, and his vision gradually cleared, and he found that Hinata was neither in the bed nor in the room. He sat up and saw a note on the bedside table.

"Why didn't you ask me to come along?" Naruto thought.

Just then, he heard the door being pushed open, and Hinata walked in. Her clothes were wet, her face was covered with sweat, and even her hair was a little wet.

"Good morning." Hinata saw that Naruto was awake, so she greeted him with a smile.

"Good morning." Naruto replied, looking at Hinata curiously. Hinata took out a towel, walked over to Naruto and gave him a kiss, which made Naruto wrinkle his nose.

"You stink." Naruto said.

Hinata smiled and said, "I'm going to take a shower." Then she walked into the bathroom. Nothing can relieve muscle soreness better than taking a cold shower.

"Need help?" Naruto asked.

"No, no." Hinata said quickly, shaking her index finger. "This is my secret move that I will use in the competition."

"Really?" Naruto raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "At least let me see it?"

"If all goes well, I will have two more S-rank jutsu added to my arsenal. One defensive, one offensive," Hinata explained and Naruto nodded.

"S-level?"

"Yes."

"What about you? What are you going to do today?" Hinata asked.

"No plans." After hearing Naruto's answer, Hinata smiled and watched him wrap his body with the sheets and bury his head in the pillow.

"But...I plan to go to Konoha Village to do some research."

Hinata was stunned when she heard Naruto's words.

"Investigation?" Hinata asked gently.

Naruto nodded, but when he noticed Hinata's face turned gloomy, he immediately understood something.

"No, no, no!" Naruto quickly waved his hands and explained, "What I meant is that I want to go to the Senju clan's library, not to the hot spring."

Naruto breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Hinata smile again.

*“Ahem, henpecked.”* The nine-tailed fox teased in Naruto’s mind, and Naruto couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

"Good boy." Hinata smiled and touched Naruto's head.

"I'm not a puppy." Naruto thought, and couldn't help but let a drop of cold sweat drip from his head.

The nine-tailed fox was already rolling on the ground laughing, unable to contain its joy.

"Or, I can go talk to Sai."

"Remember, keep me updated on your progress." Hinata said. Naruto nodded and watched Hinata walk into the bathroom. He sighed and lay back on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

"What should I do with you?" Naruto looked at the ceiling and thought helplessly.

He stood up, put on his clothes, and then used his divine power to open a passage to another dimension.

## Naruto's Divine Power Space ##

Naruto arrived at his Kamui space, and everything here was exactly the same as when he left.

"What a desolate place." Naruto looked around and couldn't help but sigh.

Apart from a few weapons placed against the wall for emergency use, he had done almost nothing to decorate the place.

The space was pitch black, there was no wind, and no animal sounds could be heard, only dead silence.

His divine space is composed of cement cubes suspended in mid-air, with no connection between them.
