Li Xueyue was not surprised to see the various dishes in front of her. The maid was polite and kept silent.

The food came in all shapes, colors, and aromas, but Li Xueyue wasn't hungry. She drank the soup but had no appetite to try other dishes. It was so strange. She probably hadn't eaten anything substantial since the robbery incident.

"Princess Li, please speak." asked the maid in her forties.

Li Xueyue found it strange that someone so much older than her could be so respectful. She had been telling herself to get used to it for a while, but even in Wuyi, it was hard to do.

"What's wrong, Yan Xi?" She asked, putting a leafy green vegetable into her mouth. The salty taste was slightly sweet, which brought out the taste of the vegetable.

Li Xueyue wanted to know Yan Xi's last name, but the servants didn't seem to know it.

She learned that Yanxi grew up in the palace and lived here all her life. Yanxi had no husband or children, but she would help take care of the children of the palace maids or cooks.

"The Crown Prince has instructed Princess Li that at least three dishes must be eaten here." Yan Xi said respectfully.

Suddenly, the door to the dining room opened without warning, startling her. She looked up from her barely touched bowl of rice.

"Yuzhen." She called out, surprising Yan Xi, who had never heard anyone call the prince by his name.

Yu Zhen glared at her warningly. The maid steward had better not cross the line. No one should have the courage to correct Li Xueyue.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, putting down her chopsticks.

“A meal with you, what else, sunshine?” Yu Zhen smiled thoughtfully. He walked to her and pinched both of her cheeks. He wanted to pull it, but found that there was nothing to pull. His face darkened. Did she starve herself to death?

Yu Zhen's eyes fell on the food. Nothing looked like it had been touched. She took the smallest bite from her rice bowl. What happened to his little hamster that stuffed the bun into her mouth?

“Little hamster, does the taste not suit your taste?” Yu Zhen asked, releasing her cheek. He held her face and stroked her cheek with his thumb.

Yan Xi's eyes became bigger than the moon. She watched the prince grow up.

He had never spoken to anyone with such a warm voice. He had never touched anyone so affectionately. His stiff expression softened because of the princess.

“The taste is OK, but…” Li Xueyue’s voice became smaller and smaller, unable to tell him her problem. It would be strange to say that she felt lonely. This palace is very large and many people live in it.

Yan Xi had to stifle a sharp gasp as the prince leaned down and pressed a chaste kiss to the princess's forehead.

"Sunshine, stop worrying." Yu Zhen whispered. "Tell me your worries."

"I feel lonely." Li Xueyue confessed. It was not until he moved slightly that she realized that her hand had already grasped his sleeve tightly. She was afraid to let him go. She was afraid of being alone in this place.

"Everyone at the Lee family made me feel at home and my appetite was good. But after their daughter came back, I don't know why, but I lost that feeling," she added.

“That’s because you’re unhappy.” Yu Zhen had a blank expression on his face. He was convinced of this. The Li family’s long-lost daughter finally came back. There was no doubt that the daughter would definitely cause a commotion and make Li Xueyue feel unwelcome.

But she was frustrated because she had no friends. The twins were always at work, the Duchess was always busy with her matriarch duties, and the servants never spoke to her.

“It’s going to be different here,” Yu-jin told her, and when she tilted her head innocently like a lost rabbit, he smiled.

"I will visit you every day. You will make friends here, and maybe this will help you relax your frown," said Yu Zhen.

Li Xueyue blinked after hearing his words. How did he know?

"Your face is like an open book to me," Yu Zhen explained. "All your wishes are written on your forehead, sunshine."

"It's not big, I can't write so much." Li Xueyue muttered.

"I beg to differ." Yu Zhen laughed, putting his fingers together and measuring her forehead.

"See, it takes this many to cover your forehead," he lied, showing her his five fingers.

“They say a big forehead brings prosperity,” she said.

"That's just a lie to comfort people like you," Yu Zhen teased. When she looked up at him, he smiled smugly.

"Sit down and eat your food," she demanded, crossing her arms. She knew full well that this was a losing battle for her.

"The prince won't let anyone sit on his seat," Yu Zhen said thoughtfully. "You have to do me a favor."

"That doesn't matter." Li Xueyue shrugged and said. She didn't notice Yan Xi's surprised look, nor her pale face.

“Princess, you forgot his title again!” And this time, you offended him! ” Yan Xi screamed in her heart. She lowered her chin, trying not to cry for the princess. Poor thing… She would definitely be executed.

But just then, Yan Xi heard an unfamiliar voice. Loud, confident, and enthusiastic. His Royal Highness just smiled. This was the real deal. There was nothing better than the heartless, humorless laughter heard in the court.

Yan Xi swallowed her saliva. Could it be that she heard it wrong? She dared to raise her head in the shortest time. A bright smile hung on the indifferent prince’s flawless face. This is true. The prince smiled. This is something that rarely happens.

Yu Zhen laughed and said, "You are the only one who is so bold." He pulled out a chair and sat down beside her. He ignored the maid who rushed over with bowls of rice and tableware.

"Never," he said firmly.

Yu Zhen extended his thumb and caressed her chin lovingly. He pulled her closer and smiled a dark and evil smile.

"Whoever dares to touch my princess will lose his hand."

Li Xueyue wasn't sure if he was joking. But she hoped so. Was he really that mean?

"Okay." was her simple answer. She smiled slightly, showing him that the harsh words didn't affect her. Not even a little bit. Especially after the murder she had committed herself.
