Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 15: One Day at the Burrow

When you reach the end of the stairs to the second floor, you will see an antique wooden door half-open. Through the gap, you can vaguely see what is going on in the room.

Percy sat at his desk, concentrating on writing a letter with a shiny new quill, his handwriting cutting across the parchment in crisp, clear strokes.

Percy stood tall, with a pair of deep and serious eyes under his thick eyebrows. In the dim light, his red hair seemed to emit a faint glow.

Next to him, not far away, was a brown owl with smooth fur and alert eyes. Its feathers shone delicately in the sunlight coming in from the window, and its big round eyes looked around from time to time, appearing alert and intelligent.

This owl has a beautiful face and noble temperament. It is not like an ordinary owl. It carries an unusual glory, as if its appearance itself is a special gift.

Ron stood at the door and looked at the owl, with a hint of helplessness and envy in his eyes.

"That guy looks a lot like Percy, doesn't he?" He explained to his friends, "This is a gift Percy received after being appointed as a prefect. Percy has always been very careful with his things, and since this summer vacation, he has become very mysterious. Not only has he closed his door, he has also been writing letters frequently, and he seems to be indifferent to the outside world."

When Ron said this, there might be a hint of envy in his tone, but more of it was confusion and curiosity about the change in Percy's behavior. In his narration, he loved and annoyed this strict elder brother in the family, revealing a complex but irreplaceable relationship between brothers.

When they stepped onto the corridor on the third floor, Salina felt a pair of eyes fixed on them, lively and sharp.

Before Salina could identify the owner of the sight, she heard the door lock click, as if driven by some invisible force, followed by a burst of hurried footsteps echoing in the empty corridor.

"It's Ginny!" Harry explained in a low voice, "That's Ron's sister. She might just be curious about strangers like us. Don't worry, she's just a little shy and likes to observe first before deciding whether to approach."

Ron spread his hands. "She wasn't like this before. She only became so secretive after Harry came."

Salina smiled slightly. She naturally understood that this was the shyness of a girl when she first fell in love.

When they reached the top floor bedroom stairs, Ron stopped and said with a hint of pride, "Come on, I'll show you my bedroom, but I have to say in advance, don't be too surprised."

As the door panel slowly opened with a creaking sound, a passionate orange-yellow color rushed towards you, warm and strong, making you almost feel like you were in the rare afterglow of the sunset.

Salina lowered her head slightly to avoid the beam extending from the corner and came into the room.

The interior layout is full of personality, with various items placed in an informal manner.

The orange bedspread, walls, and the continuous orange-yellow ceiling, every spot exudes an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility.

Although the room was not big, it had everything needed, and the walls were covered with posters of Quidditch matches.

The posters placed closely together made the whole room look lively. Each one showed a group of flying wizards, wearing orange robes and holding brooms, soaring in the blue sky. Even though they were fixed firmly on the wall, the images still tried to convey the passion and speed of Quidditch. Salina looked at the Cannonball Squad flying around the room, feeling the warmth and courage of the passion echoing in every corner.

In the corner, an old patchwork bed looked particularly messy. The brightly colored letter C and cannonball pattern on the bedspread condensed the passion and vitality of Quidditch in this small space.

The chair by the window was piled with haphazardly folded clothes, and a desk next to it was filled with half-opened textbooks, messy quills, and drawers full of letters.

Ron and Harry scratched their heads sheepishly, their faces turning slightly red with embarrassment.

Ron said, "It's a bit of a mess here, please feel free to look around, but don't expect too much from my personal belongings."

Harry also scratched his head, "We left in such a hurry this morning that we didn't have time to pack."

While Ron and Harry were enthusiastically promoting their favorite Quidditch team, Salina noticed the gray-haired figure sleeping in the corner of the room.

Banban seemed to be oblivious to everything around him and was snoring softly. Even in such a noisy environment, he showed no sign of waking up.

Salina took a few steps closer and looked at the mouse with curiosity, trying to find some clues from this ball of fur that was as still as a mountain.

However, Banban was still sleeping. Apart from the obvious hair loss and lack of vitality, its round body seemed no different from that of an ordinary mouse.

"Bang, bang, bang!" It was like someone was hitting a huge metal bucket with a stick. The dull and rhythmic sound swept down from the roof and echoed on every wall.

The sound came suddenly, and Salina couldn't help but look up at the ceiling, as if she could see the culprit causing all the noise behind the fragile wooden board.

In the breathless silence, another more ferocious clanging forced the dust to fall slightly, as if they were being frightened by an invisible banging show.

Ron shrugged his shoulders and explained to Salina with a smile, as if he was used to it. "Don't worry, it's the ghoul in the attic." He added with a somewhat helpless tone, "It keeps knocking on the pipes and making noises. It's very annoying."

Salina tilted her head and asked in surprise: "Ghoul?"

Ron nodded, "Well, I tried to shoo it away, but Dad wouldn't let me. He thought it was funny."

His tone was a mixture of helplessness and a touch of humor. "Don't be fooled by its name, it's actually not interested in corpses. Those are just legends. It just loves to play tricks on people. Sometimes it scares the postman to death. It's pretty boring, isn't it?"

Harry quickly added: "Yes, don't take it too seriously, it's just a mischievous guy and won't really hurt you. I was also scared when I first came, but I believe you will soon become familiar with its mischievous ways." There was a smile of experience in his words.

When the Weasleys returned, Serena was formally introduced to everyone.

The warm and friendly Weasley family welcomed Salina's arrival and invited her to participate in the subsequent family activities.

……

In the Weasleys' backyard, a battle to improve the garden environment began.

The goblins lurking among the flowers and under the shade of the trees, these troublemakers have been making small moves for years, turning the once tidy garden into a mess.

Now is the time to kick their frustrating tricks out of this territory.
