Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 93 Report to Dumbledore
Under the overcast sky, Hagrid's crooked little house seemed to be covered with a shadow, which was completely different from the usual cheerful atmosphere. Harry, Ron and Hermione sat side by side on the hillside, looking at the closed wooden door, and no one spoke.
"Will they really kill Buckbeak?" Ron's voice trembled a little. He scratched his hair nervously, and his red hair was made into a bird's nest by him.
"I don't know," Harry said in a low voice. He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails almost dug into his flesh. "But we can't give up hope."
Only Hermione said nothing, her face was pale, her lips were tightly pursed, her eyes were full of sadness and anger. She hugged Crookshanks tightly, as if that was her only comfort.
Time passed by, and every second seemed to be torture. Finally, the door of the hut opened, and Hagrid appeared at the door. He looked haggard, with tears on his face.
Harry and the other two watched on the hillside as the executioner raised the axe, which was shining with cold light, high up in the air, and then swung it down. They could still hear the sound of the sharp blade breaking through the air, and then the frightened birds flew into the sky. They could no longer hold back their tears.
"Buckbeak..." Hermione couldn't help but scream, her voice filled with tears.
At this moment, Peter suddenly jumped out of Ron's pocket. He looked around in horror and trembled.
"Scabby, what's wrong with you?" Ron noticed Peter's abnormality and asked in confusion.
Peter ignored him, his eyes widened in horror, as if he had seen something terrible. He tried desperately to escape from here, but was caught by Ron.
"What's wrong with you, Scabbers?" Ron was a little angry, and he said in a stronger tone, "Stop it!"
Peter struggled desperately. He wanted to scream loudly, to tell Ron that danger was approaching, but he could not make any sound.
At this moment, the bushes shook violently, and a huge black dog rushed out like a black lightning, its scarlet tongue licking its fangs, letting out a low growl, its sharp claws almost tearing his clothes, and rushing straight towards him.
The big black dog moved as fast as lightning, and no one could react to what happened. Ron only felt a sharp pain in his leg, and then he was dragged by a powerful force, and his body moved uncontrollably towards the Whomping Willow.
"Ron!" Harry exclaimed, and ran after him, but was grabbed by Hermione.
"Don't go over there, Harry! That tree is too dangerous!" Hermione shouted anxiously, but her voice was completely drowned out by the whistling wind and Ron's screams.
Harry hesitated. He knew Hermione was right, the Whomping Willow was no joke, but he couldn't just watch Ron being dragged away.
As soon as Harry rushed forward, he was hit hard by the thick branches of the Whomping Willow and flew away. He groaned in pain and fell heavily to the ground. He felt as if all the bones in his body were about to fall apart.
"Harry!" Hermione exclaimed, not caring about her own safety, and ran towards Harry in a hurry. She helped Harry up and asked anxiously, "How are you? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine..." Harry struggled to stand up, feeling dizzy and seeing stars. He shook his head, trying to wake himself up, but found that the Whomping Willow's attack was getting more and more fierce, not giving them a chance to get close.
Hermione held back Harry, who was about to rush forward, and said anxiously, "No, we can't get through! This tree is crazy!"
Harry was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. He watched Ron being dragged into the gloomy and terrifying tree hole of the Whomping Willow, but he was powerless to do anything.
"Damn it! Are we just going to watch Ron get into danger?" Harry waved his wand, but to no avail.
"There must be a way!" Hermione forced herself to calm down. She quickly scanned the surrounding environment, hoping to find something that could be used.
Just then, she suddenly discovered a raised knot on the trunk of the Whomping Willow, which looked like a scar left by being hit by something.
"That's it!" Hermione was delighted. She remembered that Fred and George had told her that this was the weakness of the Whomping Willow. If she hit it hard, the violent tree would be quieted down.
Hermione took a deep breath, concentrated her energy, poured all her magic power into her wand, then aimed at the scar and used all her strength to release a powerful "fainting" spell.
With a loud "bang", the spell hit the target accurately and the Whomping Willow fell silent.
Salina stood by the tall tower window, staring down intently, watching Harry and Hermione hurriedly enter the secret passage under the Whomping Willow, followed by Professor Snape with a serious expression, and finally Professor Lupin with hurried steps.
After confirming that Lupin had also entered the secret passage, Salina turned and walked towards the headmaster's office. She was going to complain to Dumbledore and ask him to resolve this farce with absolute force.
Principal's office.
Dumbledore was reviewing documents at his desk when Salina rushed in and interrupted his work.
"Professor Dumbledore!" Salina spoke in a hurried tone, her face full of anxiety.
Dumbledore raised his head, adjusted his glasses, and asked gently, "What's wrong, Salina? What happened to make you so flustered?"
"Harry, Ron, and Hermione, they..." Salina took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, and then told Dumbledore everything she had just seen in the tower, and also told him her own guesses.
Hearing that Harry might be in danger, a trace of worry flashed across Dumbledore's usually calm face. He stood up suddenly, grabbed his robe on the back of the chair, motioned to Salina to lead the way, and strode towards the Whomping Willow.
When Dumbledore and Salina hurried to the Whomping Willow, they saw a dim flickering light at the entrance of the secret passage. Harry and Hermione were supporting Ron, while Black and Lupin were holding an ugly fat man hostage. The group was filing out with different expressions on their faces.
The people on the opposite side were also surprised when they saw Dumbledore.
……
While Black and Dumbledore were explaining the situation, Salina noticed Professor Lupin's slightly trembling hands and the cold sweat on his forehead. She remembered that today was a full moon night, so she quickly took out a small crystal bottle from her pocket and handed it to him, saying softly, "Professor Lupin, you need this."
Lupin was stunned at first, his eyes fell on the familiar bottle of potion, then he realized that tonight was the night of the full moon. He looked at Salina gratefully and hurriedly drank the potion.
