Harry Potter: Impossibly Cute
Chapter 35 Chaotic Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
"Professor, are you okay?"
Everyone left and they were the only two left in the office.
Snape didn't say anything, just sat on the sofa, thinking about something.
“Professor, I saw it.”
Snape looked at Ling Bai with a little confusion.
"what?"
"The way you looked at Harry just now was like you were looking at someone else through Harry, just like I once did."
Snape was silent, and the long silence made the atmosphere strange.
Ling Bai didn't say anything, just stared at Snape.
"Professor, I have always had a question that has troubled me for a long time since I entered Hogwarts. Who am I? It seems that everyone is asking me who I am, so professor, do you know the answer?"
Snape looked at Ling Bai. In fact, if you look closely, you will find that except for the color of Ling Bai's pupils, there is nothing else like Lily.
Snape didn't understand why he felt that the person in front of him looked like Lily, but his personality was different from Lily's.
Lily is like the scorching sun, she shines directly into people's hearts, but the scorching temperature can make people unbearable.
Ling Bai is more like moonlight, which appears and disappears, seeping into your heart little by little, and firmly grasps everything without you knowing it. By the time you realize it, you no longer want to leave.
“You shouldn’t ask this question.”
Snape quickly looked away, as if avoiding something.
"You should go back, it's getting late"
Ling Bai remained silent. Snape's hands clenched little by little, and sweat began to seep out of his palms.
"Ok Professor, good night"
The stone door opened and then closed again. The room fell into silence and Snape exhaled a breath of foul air from his chest.
On the second day, everyone started attending classes as normal. The courses for the second grade were not much different from those for the same grade, except that the teacher for their Magic Defense class changed again.
At lunch time, the Gryffindor table was particularly lively. Ling Bai thought of what happened last night and asked Draco to eat first, while he went to Harry's side.
"Harry, Ron, are you all right?"
Looking at Ron who was trying to repair his wand with tape, Ling Bai felt helpless.
"Perhaps you should consider getting a new wand."
"You're right, Ling Bai. Of course I want to, too."
"Hi, Harry."
A clear and excited voice rang out and everyone looked over at the same time, but the camera flash dazzled everyone's eyes.
"I'm Colin Creevey, and I'm from Gryffindor."
The little boy could hardly hide his excitement. Ling Bai dug out this person from his memory and found out that he was Harry's little follower.
He is the little follower who believes in Harry most unconditionally.
Ling Bai's brows softened as he looked at the child who looked very much like an angel in Western mythology.
This child must be the one that Harry Potter feels very sorry for.
"Hi Colin, nice to meet you"
"Can your friend take a picture of me standing next to you to prove that I really saw you, and show it to my father. He is a milkman. Except for me, no one else in my family knows magic. Before I received the acceptance letter, I didn't know that magic could do so many things."
Colin spoke very quickly, obviously a little excited, but it made people smile unconsciously.
He is a very cute child.
"Of course, I don't think Harry will refuse. Come on, I'll take the photo for you."
Ling Bai reached out and took the camera from Colin.
"Oh, are you Ling Bai? I've heard of you. We all know that you and Harry fought against the evil Professor Quirrell together."
"Thank you. I didn't expect that my fame could be on par with Harry's."
"Ling Bai, don't say that."
Ling Bai smiled.
"Then I'll go back first. I think Draco will get mad again soon."
Ling Bai left, and Ron couldn't help but curl his lips as he looked at the direction Ling Bai left.
"Draco Draco, I'm so tired of hearing this name. I don't know what's so good about him. He's arrogant and all he cares about is his bloodline. His father is just as annoying as him."
Hermione stared at Ron curiously.
"Why do I feel your tone is so sour?"
"I... I didn't, you must have heard it wrong."
Not long after Ling Bai sat down, an angry female voice was heard from the Gryffindor table.
Um…it’s Ms. Molly.
Ling Bai couldn't help laughing. Unlike the laughter from others, Ling Bai couldn't help laughing.
"Ron's mother is such a lovely lady"
Draco looked puzzled.
"Ling Bai, why do you think so? Shouldn't all mothers be like my mother?"
"No, Draco. Every mother is like a different flower. Even the same flower in a pot will not bloom the same flowers. Ron's mother is a warrior, and so is Aunt Narcissa. It may not be the father who protects the child, but perhaps a great mother."
Draco didn't quite understand, but he nodded seriously.
“Maybe you’re right.”
Ling Bai smiled and didn't discuss the topic any further.
The Defense Against Magic class will start in the afternoon. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is the uncle who was selling books at Flourish and Blotts that day.
After he sent a questionnaire to each school, Ling Bai and Draco looked at each other.
"Hey, why is this person so narcissistic?"
"Draco, I swear, if this is the final assignment this year, I'm going to get a T."
"Oh damn, where on earth did Dumbledore find these weirdos?"
Draco threw down his pen, obviously not intending to answer any of the questions.
Finally getting to the point, when Lockhart opened the cage full of Cornish pixies, Ling Bai cursed inwardly.
"Professor, are you sure you want to open the lock? We may not be able to deal with a cage of Cornish elves right now."
"Oh, don't worry, kid, I'm here."
After saying this, Lockhart opened the cage without waiting for Ling Bai to speak again.
In an instant they came out in droves.
"Draco, hide!"
The scene fell into extreme chaos for a moment.
The statue hanging from the top was also brought down by the group of little demons and fell to the ground, smashing into pieces.
"Navi, are you okay?"
“No, it’s terrible now.”
Ling Bai looked at Navi being pulled by the ears by the group of little demons and suspended in mid-air, his beautiful brows furrowed.
"Immobulus"
The magic wand emitted a light, and for a moment the elves seemed to be suspended in time.
Ling Bai turned around and glared at Lockhart. That was the first time everyone saw Ling Bai angry.
"Professor Lockhart, I have already told you that we may not be able to deal with the Cornish elves, but you insisted on releasing them. Have you ever thought about the safety of our students? As a teacher, if you can't even guarantee the safety of your students, what is the meaning of your teaching?"
