Chapter 45 Ending
Ginny pouted at Severus, crouching down next to Gebe. She glanced at Sirius and Remus, who were laughing about something, lost in their own world.Gabe grabbed her chin and brought her attention back to him.
"Mom! Where's Wesley?"
At his words, Severus crouched down next to Ginny.
"How about an appointment?"
Ginny shrugged.
"No news," she replied, and Gebe stood up, looking for his brother among the adults. "It's kind of like anxiously waiting for the situation."
Severus nodded and they stood together.Origa watched silently, then smiled at Ginny.
"I'm sure Wesley will be fine!" Origa nodded. "If he's a Squib, it's not the worst thing."
Ginny frowned, but couldn't deny the truth of this sentence. She saw Severus touch Origa's hand with the back of his hand, the only affection he was willing to show in public.
"Yes, I know." She said softly.
"Origa! You look great today, I didn't expect you to wake up!"
Ginny relaxed naturally when Sirius came to her side.
"Snape." Sirius nodded.
Severus nodded at him too.
"Blake."
Ginny wanted to roll her eyes at the two, but she turned to Remus. After what happened between them, Sirius and Severus maintained a neutral attitude towards each other.Severus was such a big part of Ginny's life and her and Sirius' children that it was impossible for him to be disrespectful to Sirius if he wanted to keep in touch.Sirius also knew how important Severus was to Ginny, and even for Ginny, he would never destroy their relationship. But they don't like each other. They may never like each other.
"How's that bill going?" Ginny asked Remus.
Like everyone, Remus was getting old.But he's a werewolf, and the aging process seems to be speeding up.His hair had gone almost white, and the lines around his eyes and around his mouth had deepened. However, his eyes are still a warm amber color, which keeps everyone from realizing how old he actually looks.
"Kingsley said he should be able to pass, so I asked him when we came." Remus replied. "It's really great to finally have Wolfsbane Potion on the market, and the common werewolf group can buy it."
Ginny nodded in agreement.Wolfsbane Potion is a particularly difficult potion to craft, but can calm werewolves during transformation.Werewolves have no access to the Wolfsbane potion, inflict massive wounds on themselves during their transformation, and accidentally bite innocent people. This is one of many large bills that Remus is trying to push, because while hard work has been done over the past 20 years to remove the stigma, it is currently illegal to trade to "creatures of darkness".
"Hermione is a saint," said Remus, bringing Ginny back to reality. "Helped Sirius write his book, helped me legislate, and raised Ross and Hugo..."
"She's more like my mother than me," Ginny joked.
Remus smiled brightly at her, and Ginny hugged him.

The party went on into the night.By the time the adults had finally finished talking and drinking, all the children were asleep in the Burrow's many beds.Ginny almost wanted to go to sleep in her old bedroom, but seeing the look in Sirius' eyes, she knew it was time to go back to their home.So they say goodbye to everyone and go to the kids.Aurora and Tristan woke up immediately, rubbing their sleepy eyes.Gabe and Wesley were still asleep in their parents' arms, unwilling to move.
They went home separately, Sirius holding Wesley, Tristan clutching his father's other hand.Afterwards, Ginny hugged Gabe with one hand and Aurora who was holding onto her leg tightly with the other, and appeared with a "crack".
"What time is it?" Aurora asked with wide eyes.
"It's late." Sirius replied simply. "Around midnight."
"Is there a full moon tonight?" Tristan asked.
They walked along the sidewalk toward the Black mansion.Ginny raised an eyebrow at her son's question.
"Why do you ask that?" Ginny asked, rubbing the back of Gebe who was moving in her arms.
"Just curious. Teddy said something about it."
Sirius shook his head.
"Look," he said, pointing to the sky. "There is no full moon—no moon at all."
Tristan looked up to the sky to see if his father was right.Ginny gave him a slight nudge from behind, telling him to keep going.
Black House is a simple two-storey house situated along a dirt road leading to the Muggle village. It was in the middle of a field and had every protective spell one could think of cast on it except the Fidelity Charm. After all that Sirius had been through, he wanted a home where he didn't feel trapped or bound. He wants to feel safe, and he wants his family to feel safe. But most importantly, he can leave here at any time.
His time in Azkaban still haunts him, as does his subsequent imprisonment in his parents' house.
But Ginny was more than willing to respect his wishes, and she liked the big field behind the house where she and the children could play. When Tristan got older, Sirius could take him for a ride around the backyard on his motorcycle.Ginny also doesn't have to worry about neighbors watching and being forced to refrain from using magic. She needn't have worried, and neither had Sirius.
"Go to sleep," Ginny said after Sirius opened the front door.
Tristan and Aurora took off their shoes and put them next to the front door.Aurora ran to the stairs first and waited for Tristan. The two children went up the stairs together, two steps at a time, talking to each other along the way.Ginny and Sirius followed their steps more slowly.Wesley shared a bedroom with Gabe, and the couple slowly undressed the two children and changed them into pajamas.
"Dad?" Wesley opened one brown eye. "Dad, where are we?"
Sirius covered Wesley with the quilt and tucked in the corners of the quilt.
"Home," he said gruffly. "Go on to sleep."
Wesley turned his head to see Ginny tuck in Gabe. She stroked Gabe's red curls before looking at Wesley.
"mom?"
"Well, dear?"
"What a fun party," he said, before yawning.
Sirius and Ginny looked at each other and smiled.Ginny nodded, blew a kiss to Wesley, and the two adults walked out of the bedroom together.
"See you tomorrow morning, Wesley," Ginny said softly.
The little boy nodded and fell asleep again. They then went to check on Tristan, who had gone to bed and fell asleep with his face buried in his pillow.Sirius shook his head at Tristan's crumpled Quidditch magazine, which he must have thought he could read before bed. While Sirius was about to get the magazine out of Tristan, Ginny went to make sure Aurora had gone to bed.
Unsurprisingly, Aurora wasn't lying down yet.She sat at the foot of the bed, trying to braid her hair.Seeing her mother coming, her eyes widened.
"Mom, can you help me?"
Ginny nodded, sat down beside her daughter, and shook out Aurora's half-braided hair. She quickly braided her hair, threw back the covers, and let Aurora climb into bed.
"Good night." Aurora said softly.
"Good night, Rory," Ginny said softly, blowing out the candles and leaving the room.
She found Sirius undressing in their bedroom. With his back to her, she stopped and watched him take off his white shirt and throw it beside the wardrobe.Sirius raised his arms, stretched his muscles, and let out a low moan.Ginny walked up to him and put her hand on his lower back.Sirius looked back at her, the black hair hanging in front of her eyes, and she felt the familiar tension again.
"Today was fun," she said, running her hand up and down his spine.
She felt him tremble, and he turned, reaching for her shirttail with his hands. He stared at her intently, and unbuttoned the buttons one by one.
"Yes." He replied, brushing his fingers lightly over her belly. "Real fun."
Ginny sucked in a sharp breath as he pulled the shirt off her.
"Thank you for helping me undress," Ginny said softly as Sirius continued to take off her shorts.
He looked up at her with a wolfish grin, and Ginny laughed. He picked her up and threw her on their bed, and before she could calm down, he got into bed too.Sirius cupped her face in his hands and pulled her closer to him.
"You seem to be in a better mood now." Sirius said, leaning forward and gently biting her ear.
Panting, she didn't know whether to push him away or pull him closer.Sirius had a habit of seducing her while having a serious conversation with her. This is quite contradictory.
"Siris—" She called his name out of breath, and he growled and hugged her even tighter.
Ginny shivered, but pushed him away to get a better look at his face. His gray eyes were bewildered at her sudden uneasiness.
"what happened?"
"You... do you think after all this... I mean about the Veil... you hate that you'll never know what's going on inside? We may never know? We lost our memories, We lost a part of ourselves—"
He kissed the corner of her mouth to calm her down.
"I didn't lose a part of myself. I got a part back," Sirius whispered to her. "To me, only you are the most important thing, when the Reticent said that being around you would make me sick... that was enough to drive a saint crazy. So if I lose the memory of the veil, I can exchange you for being with me Together... I will never regret it."
She looked at him, thinking back to the time they had been together before he re-entered the Veil. They didn't see each other at all, and she went to Florence once, and she remembered how sick he was.Because of her, because of the curse of the veil on him.But he'd never say he regretted losing his memory, she knew.Ginny was comforted by the fact that he kept repeating this point.
"I love you," Sirius told her. "extremely love."
Ginny smiled and kissed him on the lips.
"I love you too, Sirius. Love you so much."
"Finish"
"Mom! Where's Wesley?"
At his words, Severus crouched down next to Ginny.
