[HP Doujin] take care of you

Chapter 8 For Yourself

Cold drops slid down Ginny's face, and she kept her eyes closed, shivering with cold. But she blushed for hours, and it felt so good to finally be able to cool down her face.Remembering his eyes on her... Ginny took a towel to dry her face and looked in the mirror.

She is not brave. How did she get sorted into Gryffindor?Sirius came over at breakfast and talked to her, but she couldn't handle it at all.Where did all her strength go?Ginny sighed, put the towel on the counter, and walked out of the bathroom.Lily had told her that she saw something in her, something Lily didn't.

Ginny wished she knew what it was, because all she could see now was a lost girl.she is a girl. And Sirius was a man, and Remus had said so.

"Oh." Ginny sighed and walked out of the bathroom.

She hates being alone and thinking wildly. Her mind was in turmoil. It was like someone had taken her life and thrown everything together with a spoon.Ginny is in love with Harry's godfather, she's befriended his deceased parents, she barely recognizes her peers, she's jealous of Remus' happiness...

Ginny knelt down by the trunk and started unpacking her things. If she looked back at the old days before she met the Marauders, she might feel a sense of belonging. Her clothes were all neatly folded, and when she time traveled in September, it was the house-elf who packed her things. There are some textbooks under her clothes.

They are second-hand books, tattered. She pressed her fingers to the cover; she had barely opened a book. When the war broke out, it was no longer important to study Charms.Ginny put the book next to the folded clothes and produced some parchment. Some rolled parchment, half of which had homework written on it that she forgot or didn't have time to complete, the rest were pristine. At the bottom lay a quill or two.

"That's all," she murmured, touching the bottom of the suitcase. "Still don't know how to clear my mind."

"I can help."

Ginny looked up to see Remus' head poking through the doorway, and she smiled.

"I didn't eavesdrop on purpose." He said with a slight frown.

She nodded for him to come in.Remus walked into the bedroom, closed the door behind him, strode over to Ginny and sat down.Seeing him reminded her of so many things that she had to look away to control her emotions.

"How's the meeting going?" Ginny asked, starting to put the books back in the trunk.

Remus frowned, tapping his fingers on the floor.

"Same as before," Remus said. "We're going to wait for his attack."

"Advanced Potion Making", "Standard Spell Level Six", "Fighting the Faceless Man".

"Can you look at me?"

Hearing Remus' sharp tone, Ginny looked up from her textbook to him.He was tired and worried about her; it was written all over his face.

"What do you want me to say, Remus?"

He is not her nanny. She didn't want him to think he was her nanny.

"I want you to tell me what you're thinking—"

"why?"

At her words, Remus rolled his eyes.Ginny rolled her eyes.

"We're friends. Why can't you remember? Yes, I'm going to marry Tonks." Hearing this, she looked away, and he grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes . "I want to marry her because I love her and she loves me. But that doesn't mean I don't want to be with you."

Ginny wrung her hands on her knees, finally relenting.Remus let go of her jaw, waiting patiently for her to speak.

"I feel strange."

Remus looked at Ginny, waiting for her to continue. But she said nothing more, and he sighed and tugged at his gray hair.

"Why is it strange?"

Weird because I keep thinking about Sirius, because I think of James every time I see Harry, because I feel like I'm missing something, because Hogwarts is so crowded, because I sometimes wish I didn't have these things, because When I look at you I don't see you because I don't remember who I am.

"Ginny? I can't be the only one talking about this chat."

"I know." She couldn't help crying.

Ginny pulled her knees to her chest, leaned her head on them, and turned to look at Remus.

"I feel weird because I missed 19 years of my life that I thought I should have lived."

A sound of pity came from the back of Remus' throat, and he reached out to Ginny's shoulder. His touch made her smile.

"Can you tell me everything?" she said softly.

Hearing her question, he glanced at the window. It was late afternoon, and he had 19 years to tell her. When she was at the school hospital, they briefly chatted about things after graduation, but that didn't really mean much.

"Don't you want to talk about what's going on right now?"

Ginny wanted to hear about the past before talking about the present, and maybe that wasn't good.she does not know. But she has too many blanks to fill.So when she shook her head in the negative, Remus didn't argue.

They are comfortably in the bedroom.Remus unbuttoned his blue shirt and took off his shoes.Ginny leaned back on the bed and waited for him.Remus went on to talk about their time at the school hospital. He told Ginny about his first Christmas after graduation, when the Order of the Phoenix had taken shape, and everyone had dinner at James and Lily's apartment.

When Sirius first bought his motorcycle, he didn't let anyone touch it for almost three months.Sirius and James worked together in battle.Lily finally finds out that he's a werewolf and the boys are Animagus! They chatted about Lily and James' wedding, which was perfect because the two were finally officially together. He also tells about Lily's pregnancy and how they miss Ginny.

"She wishes you were here," Remus said softly. "Lily only mentioned you once or twice, and she never mentioned you in front of Sirius, but she always wanted to know what you were doing and hoped you were safe."

Remus told Ginny that both Marlene and Dorcas were in the Order and played a major role in the battle.Later, Marlene and her family were all killed, which was a great loss to the Order of the Phoenix. And Dorcas, he murmured, was slain by Voldemort himself.

Ginny covered her face with her hands, as if hiding in the dark, these things would not be so real.

He also talked to Ginny about the war.Sirius quickly believes that Remus is a traitor who betrayed James and Lily.No one expected it to be Peter, because Peter would never do that.During those dark days, the Marauders fell apart.

"It ended badly," Remus said dryly.

Ginny laughed, but it was a little hoarse as she had been fighting back tears.

"Let's talk about you."

During the chat, they completely changed positions. They are now sitting side by side, facing the window, chatting and watching the sunset.None of them complained of being hungry or thirsty.Remus interlocked Ginny's fingers, and she bit her lip.

"How am I going to tell everyone about time travel? How am I going to..." Ginny shook her head. "It doesn't matter anymore."

Ginny looked up and looked at him with all sincerity.

"I know Sirius doesn't remember me, what should I do?"

Remus frowned and squeezed Ginny's hand.

"After so much, how am I going to keep acting, how am I going to keep lying to him?"

Tears welled up her throat.

"Don't lie to him," Remus replied. "Be honest. Merlin, Ginny, this is what you want to do, why are you fighting?"

She turned to Remus, frowning.

"He's going to find out about your time travel one day... so why not open up now? When you're ready, you can tell him. Just like for your family, Harry and all the people who are important to you Do the same."

Ginny thought of her own inability to answer Sirius at breakfast, his worried face, her shock that seemed to confuse him.Maybe he thought she was nervous to see him in real life. She remembered how she ran away from the auditorium, and all she wanted was to laugh. She must have made an amazing impression on Sirius.

"Good idea," she murmured.

Remus looked at her and smiled. She smiled too, she squeezed his hand tightly, rested her head on his chest, closed her eyes, and listened to his heartbeat.Despite the age gap and time gap between them, he was still her Remus, still her best friend. There is no doubt about it.

"What did you want to tell me yesterday?" Ginny murmured, rubbing her closed eyes with her hands

He tensed, and Ginny opened her eyes in surprise. He lowered his head and looked at her seriously.

"what happened?"

"Ginny, how did you get into the Ministry of Magic?"

Puzzled by the sudden change of subject, Ginny didn't answer right away, but wanted to know why he was asking that question.

"Well, I left Hogwarts and went to Hogsmeade. Severus is there."

Remus raised an eyebrow, and Ginny sat up, feeling much more awake.

"what happened?"

He tightened his lips.

"Don't try to hide anything from me, Remus Lupine," Ginny warned in a low voice.

He exhaled, then nodded.

"He was there when I found you and Sirius," Remus told her. "I could have killed him."

Ginny stared at Remus.Severus was there when she returned from the Veil?

"What do you mean he was there?"

"There he is, Ginny. Snape got there before I did. I walked in and he was pouring a potion into your mouth, and I thought you were dead. I almost hit him, but I didn't. " Remus lowered his voice, lost in thought.

"Why not??"

He let go of her hand.

"Because he looks at you like you are the most precious thing in the world."

She wouldn't have been so surprised if Remus had punched Ginny in the face. Her mouth opened and closed like a gaping fish, and she shook her head.

"You came out of there looking like you were going to die, Ginny, I've seen you like that too many times. But he was treating you. He knew I was coming, but he didn't look at me until he was done tending you. "

Severus did go to the Veil; he kept her promise and took care of her.Ginny felt a headache. She massaged her head with her fingers, trying to relieve the pain.

"and then?"

"He threw me a bottle and left. I fed it to Sirius... and got out of there as fast as I could. It was too hard, you both passed out. But something distracted the Ministry, hallway There's almost no one there."

Ginny remembers waking up in her office and something similar happened. Those two kept talking about "Snape did" things. Was he the one who distracted the Ministry of Magic?Instead of kidnapping her, he got her into the Ministry of Magic? It doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense at all.

Remus didn't seem to know how to explain it either.

"I don't think I can figure it out right now," said Ginny sincerely, her eyelids heavy. "Probably never figure it out."

"Understandable," Remus said briskly. "What else can we talk about?"

Ginny rubbed her face with her hands, trying to regain consciousness. She had one more thing to ask Remus, but she didn't know if it was the right time.It was a selfish question, but she still desperately wanted an answer. She finally looked up at him.

"Has Sirius ever had someone else?"

Remus didn't seem surprised by her question. He shook his head immediately.

"I think he gave up dating after you left." He replied briskly. "He's been busy with the Order of the Phoenix, his motorcycle, James and Lily."

She sighed and closed her eyes.He hadn't been with anyone else, and she was happy and hated herself.
