[HP] Riddle's Spirit Behind

Chapter 116 The Wedding at Malfoy Manor

Abraxas's wedding was finally decided to be held in London. After receiving the invitation, Eleanor learned that the bride's name was Laura Smith.

"I don't remember this Laura Smith. She should be a student of Hogwarts, right?" Eleanor said to Cloris, who was sitting in the passenger seat, on the way to the wedding scene.

Since neither of them had ever been to Malfoy Manor, they ended up going the Muggle way, driving to the wedding. This car was bought by Avery's father not long ago. It looks the same as a Muggle car on the surface, but it is very spacious inside, and it seems that there is no problem in taking a dozen people at the same time.

"She is a student of Ravenclaw, in the same grade as me. I remember she was a fat girl with pimples on her face. In terms of appearance, she was far worse than her sister Holliday." Crowe Rhys replied.

Eleanor, of course, remembered Holliday Jones, and she was instantly astonished. It turns out that Abraxas' fiancée is Holliday's younger sister.

"Lola is much prettier than she used to be, though," Avery said fairly. "Abraxas showed me a picture of her."

Soon, they came to Malfoy Manor.

Eleanor had never seen such a luxurious private building, and she was attracted by the well-designed garden and a lovely fountain.Afterwards, they were invited into the magnificent mansion. For the first time, Eleanor realized how rich the Malfoy family really was.

Most of the guests present were business associates of the Malfoy family. They greeted each other politely, and occasionally came over to chat with Avery and Cloris cordially. And Eleanor was completely left out in the cold, no one noticed her existence at all.

Eleanor stood in the corner and saw Abraxas happily chatting with some unknown wizards from a distance.

Standing next to him was a middle-aged woman in an elegant dress with a fake smile on her face.Eleanor guessed that she should be Abraxas' mother, Mrs. Malfoy.

Such a social situation made Eleanor feel uncomfortable, and she began to appreciate that she was the one who was left out.

After a long wait, the wedding finally got to the prom part.At this point Eleanor had already eaten the whole plate of desserts, because she was really too busy to panic.

She rested her chin and yawned as she watched Abraxas dance with the bride in the middle of the dance floor.

Laura Smith wasn't fat, just slightly plump. The cut of the sheer white gown perfectly concealed the imperfections of her figure.Plus, the pimples on her face have completely disappeared.Like Avery said, she doesn't look ugly at all now.

Eleanor could not help noticing that she had very beautiful green eyes. There was always a gentle look in those eyes, which made her look like a very different kind of girl from her sister.

Abraxas was tall and straight, and his black dress perfectly brought out his aristocratic temperament. The two stand together so well that even the harshest critics will find nothing wrong with them.

Eleanor also saw Holliday—who seemed to be married, for she was accompanied by a tall man with a moustache.

After the third piece was over, Avery came over and asked Eleanor to dance.Eleanor readily agreed.

While dancing, Eleanor accidentally stepped on someone's foot behind her.

"I'm sorry." She apologized immediately.

She turned around and realized that it was Holliday she had stepped on.Holliday was dancing with her brother-in-law Abraxas.

And Holliday looked much more surprised than Eleanor.

She stared at Eleanor pale, as if seeing a ghost, "It's you! Eleanor Alford!"

"What's wrong?" Abraxas frowned, looking at them with some doubts.

"Why didn't I remember that we invited her?" Holliday pointed at Eleanor and asked her brother-in-law.

"She's my friend." Abraxas frowned more clearly, "Don't be so rude, Holliday."

Holliday gritted her teeth and glared at Eleanor, and looked around in a panic.

"You came alone?" She suddenly turned her head and stared at Eleanor and asked.

"Yes."

"Excellent," Holliday said dryly. Then, shaking off Abraxas' hand, she turned and walked quickly towards her husband.

"What happened to her?" Avery asked, frowning.

"I don't know." Abraxas replied thoughtfully.

After a few seconds of silence, the song just ended.Cloures parted from her temporary partner and walked quickly towards them.

"Holiday's face looked like she saw a ghost just now, what happened?" She asked curiously.

Her husband shrugged and said he didn't know what was going on.

Abraxas smiled and said to Eleanor, "May I invite you to dance?"

"Oh, of course." Eleanor replied immediately with a smile.

When the song was coming to an end, Abraxas suddenly asked in a low voice: "You really decided to marry him, didn't you?"

"Oh—yes." Elinor replied with slightly flushed cheeks.Just the other day, she had written to him and the Avery family about her engagement to Tom.

"Congratulations." Abraxas said calmly.

"Thank you." Eleanor smiled sincerely.

Then she went on: "We're going to have our wedding at Hogwarts Castle - that's a great idea he came up with. The only problem is, we need the Headmaster's permission."

"Oh, that's not a problem at all." Abraxas laughed. "I think Professor Dippet will agree."

Eleanor smiled even brighter, "I hope so."

At the end of the dance, an unexpected guest arrives.

Almost all the guests involuntarily looked at the late guest.A pale and handsome young man in a black dress robe walked in from the entrance of the hall with a smile on his face.

"Tom!" Eleanor called out his name in surprise.

Just then Holliday covered her mouth with a frightened expression, and stared palely at Tom.She staggered back half a step, trying to hide herself in the crowd as much as possible.

Then, to Eleanor's surprise, at least half of the people in the room knew Tom.Tom greeted the guests with a polite smile, and they all responded to him with great enthusiasm.

Even Abraxas' father volunteered to go over and talk to Tom for a long time.

Eleanor stared at Tom's every move curiously, and even forgot to go over to talk to him.

At last Tom cast his gaze on her through a gap in the crowd. He lowered his head, said something hastily to the middle-aged woman in front of him, and then quickly walked towards Eleanor.

"I thought you couldn't come to the wedding." Eleanor said a little surprised, "and you're late."

"Something's been delayed," said Tom, smiling calmly.

Subsequently, Eleanor had to chat with the strange guests together with Tom.

"Oh look - who's this lovely lady?" said a man with a goatee and a playful wink.

"She's my fiancée," replied Tom, smiling.

Immediately afterwards, those people began to talk to her as if they had just noticed Eleanor's existence.

Finally, Eleanor felt the muscles of her face stiffen from the false smile. In the end, she pretended to get a glass of wine, and finally escaped temporarily from the suffocating situation.

Just where they couldn't see, Holliday was watching Tom's every move intently. She squeezed the hem of her skirt tightly, trembling slightly.

"What's the matter with you, honey?" her husband asked with some concern.

"It's nothing." Holliday squeezed out the words through the gaps between her teeth. "By the way, can we leave early? I don't feel well."

"Okay, let's go now," her husband said immediately, "but first I have to say hello to a few people—wait for me, I'll be back soon." He kissed his wife on the cheek, and then Turned around and left.

After her husband left, Abraxas suddenly walked over quickly.

"Holiday, can I take a step to speak?" He asked in a low voice. .

"What's the matter?" Holliday said impatiently, she was impatient to pretend to be polite, "Can't we talk about it another day? I'm leaving soon."

"—about Tom Riddle, I have some questions for you."

The blood on Holliday's face disappeared again.

"He has nothing to do with me," she said hoarsely. "Why don't you ask his fiancée? I heard from Laura that he is already engaged to that ghost girl?"

"But that's not what your expression says." Abraxas said in a low voice, "You look terrified—what are you afraid of, Holliday?"

"It has nothing to do with you!" Holliday suddenly shouted angrily, "—I'm leaving."

Abraxas immediately grabbed her wrist, "I just want to help you, Holliday. Tell me, what happened between you and Tom?"

Holliday took a deep breath and said sullenly, "I don't know anything."

"Or rather, I can't remember anything." Abraxas stared at her with burning eyes. "Someone tampered with your memory, right?"

"No, no," Holliday said dryly, "I'm really going—let me go."

Just when Abraxas wanted to ask further questions, Holliday suddenly became stiff and stared behind Abraxas in horror.

"Long time no see, Holliday." A voice said calmly.

Abraxas turned to see Tom standing behind him, looking at them with a smile on his face.

Holliday took half a step back, "I think... I have to go find my husband." She forced an ugly smile, and nodded reluctantly to Tom, "But it's nice to meet you, Tom."

Then she turned around and walked away as fast as she was running away.

After Holliday left, Eleanor went to Tom's side. She took Tom's arm naturally, and said with a smile, "Hey, what are you talking about?"

"Nothing," Tom replied calmly.

"Okay." Eleanor shrugged.

Tom stretched out his hand to help her brush off the dessert residue on the front, and smiled gently: "Come on, we haven't danced together yet."

Eleanor looked at him in a daze - when did he become so gentle?

"Uh... ok," she replied.

Abraxas stared at the two of them, and after a moment of silence, he showed a smirk without emotion, "I have to greet the guests—sorry, excuse me."

After that, he turned around and strode away.

After the wedding, Tom told Eleanor to let her go back alone.

"What about you?" Eleanor asked in surprise.

"I have something to do." He said blankly, looking in a certain direction among the crowd.

"Why do you always refuse to tell me?" Eleanor frowned slightly and asked, "What are you going to do—do you have to do it now?"

Tom stared at her, and suddenly chuckled, "Please, Eleanor, what else can I do? Kill people and steal? I just saw an acquaintance and wanted to chat with him about business matters."

He lowered his head and kissed Eleanor's cheek, "I'll see you soon."

Eleanor sighed, but turned around and left with the Avery couple.

After watching Eleanor leave, Tom strode towards the crowd.

Standing in front of Laura Smith, he politely said to the surprised bride, "I'm sorry to disturb you, Mrs. Malfoy."

Laura was not as frightened of him as her sister was, but asked with a smile, "What's the matter, Mr. Riddle?"

"I have something to pass on to your sister Holliday, but I haven't seen her—" said Tom, frowning slightly.

"Oh, she's gone back." Laura smiled kindly. "But I can give you her address. She lives in London now."

"That's very much appreciated." Tom smiled calmly.

Laura replied with a smile: "You're welcome."

Seeing the back of Tom leaving, Abraxas walked quickly to his new wife, and asked casually, "What did you talk about just now?"

"Oh, he asked me where Holliday was, as if there was something to deliver to her," Laura replied, "and I gave him Holliday's address."

After listening to her words, Abraxas frowned, vaguely having some kind of bad premonition.

"What's wrong with you?" Laura looked at her husband in surprise.

Abraxas sighed, "... nothing. Let's go back."
